Why do zoomers hate it so much?

Why do zoomers hate it so much?

Doesn't have as much content as other games
Gameplay mechanics aren't as intricate and Time Trials aren't as fun as a result.
Some tracks are also pretty garbage as well. Way too long for their own good, often not offering much. Shit like Wario Stadium is undeniably pretty shit.

The only Mario Kart people hate is Super Mario Kart and Super Circuit.

Battle mode was keno in 64. Unironically the best it's ever been in the series.

I fucking loved it as a kid, but after playing CTGP I actually just cant play 64 anymore. It feels like complete shit to play.

Worst rubber banding in the series and the screen is squashed in 4P multiplayer(couldn’t see shit on skyscraper)
Very small roster that barely improved over SMK

DS is still king

>screen is squashed in 4P multiplayer
lol the fuck did you expect? maybe git a bigger TV nerd

CTR is better

big mario kart fiend kind of guy over here

It's not a bad game, but ever since MKDS and it's 32 race tracks people have been spoiled and look down on the older games in the series.

t. Samsung salesman

If you want to see how a game has aged, sit an eight year old who has grown up with contemporary vidya down in front of an older game and see if they enjoy it or can easily grasp the controls. In this regard, n64 games like Goldeneye, Smash Bros, or Mario 64 hold up splendidly, but games like Mario Kart, OoT, and MM do not.
I love MM anyway

Oot holds up just fine, dumb zoomer

Snaking isn't real tech
DS mission mode is badass and should return, though.
DD had the best battle stages and the special items were great
MK8, however, has the highest skill ceiling and the best mechanics

Because zoomers are tasteless pieces of shit who hate anything with soul.

Because it's not Minecraft, and it's a game with actual challenge.

No, it really doesnt. From its silky-smooth 14fps to its sometimes tedious backtracking and its pause menu, there are plenty of aspects which could be optimized. That doesn't mean it's not a good game - it's very good, and revolutionary in some aspects, but again - plenty of changes could be made to cut the fat and make it a bit more consistent
Ive never played the 3ds remakes, but perhaps they've done just that

Nostalgia does wonders

>that 32 year old zoomer that think being born before 1990 is an achievement

Rubber band ai.

>but games like Mario Kart, OoT, and MM do not.
my little sister played the latter two of her own will and i can tell she got far because i heard the great bay music.

But I hate Bieber and twilight

because they have no taste? it'll come with age for the best of them

I've never heard zoomers complain about it, but if they do, it's probably just cause it isn't a new game for them. Mario Kart 64 was a new experience for us I still get nostalgic when I hear the Koopa Troopa Beach music but I'm sure they won't have that same attachment. Dare I say it, it's kinda like Fortnite - so many of us loved getting together and playing Mario Kart all night with friends. Well, zoomers do that with Fortnite. After zoomers get children, they'll see Fortnite and think it's lame cause they're into whatever's new for them.

tl;dr - They don't have nostalgia for it like we do.

It's really barren in terms of content:
>Only 16 maps
>8 characters, all unlocked from the start, no unique endings
>Battle mode is not available in singleplayer
>No online multiplayer

Even first Smash bros game has more content

I'll take rubber banding over sudden unavoidable item barrages any day.

It's very lazy game, people back in 1996 didn't notice that because it was a huge graphical improvement over Super Mario Kart and was the first true 3D Racing experience for many, but it has the same amount of characters as previous game, same modes and 16 tracks instead of 20
