It's very useful for fixing stems that have backing vocals mixed with guitar, if you're good at recording. It can also help making backing tracks for songs that don't have anything available, though it won't really feel *right* if you don't have all the same instruments.

If you do more than one part, upload every voice as a different FLAC file so we can use what's doesn't get another singer and replace what does. Plus, even if we did end up using only your takes (which we won't) we'd still need to adjust panning and other shit, and post processing is far easier on one voice at a time than all voices at once. Note down on the spreadsheet which part you want the most so other singers know what they shouldn't redo, as I'm fairly confident we'll get enough people. I know a couple anons irl who contributed for years who just got fed up with all the drama bullshit last year and have told me they aren't going to bother this year. Also a lot of people have jobs or moved on and we get a lot of newer fags coming in wanting to make more culture and off topic songs more and more every year because unfortunately that reflects whats happening to the board. Gonna do a "remaster" (read: finish) "Through the Vidya and the Games" someone put in DLC 1st year, with a proper instrumental instead of the muted actual song as a backing track, fill in some missing lyrics, the works. I need two things though; If anyone could record themselves playing through Through the Fire and the Flames in Guitar Hero III, the plastic clacking of the guitar only, that'd be amazing (Someone in the /vg/ thread said they might be able to do it, but given the anonymous nature of all this, can't hurt to keep things open). Ideally it'd be clean audio, so headphones and a quiet/silent room otherwise would be preferred. Might even work in some screw ups and partial restarts for that Authentic GHIII Experience™. And if someone could yell "Fuck Epic!", that'd be the cherry on top. Well, I already have the audacity file set up, have 99% of the lyrics transcribed / added to (There's literally one line where I don't have the foggiest what's going on with it), and have everything set up to the point all that needs to be done is lyrics sung and possibly get the GHIII clacking audio inserted. classicalfag's general singing advice for non-singers: drink lots of water and/or tea avoid straining your voice, it's not worth it if you notice strain, try do have greater breath support to reduce tension in your throat, also tension and strain may be indicative of notes outside of your range. your range will grow naturally if you take care of your voice by singing within what's comfortable. remember that singing should be fun, and if you aren't having fun, take a break and come back avoid dairy before singing warmup before you sing. some exercises i recommend: lip trills, 3 or 5 note scales on open vowel sounds. singing ah-aa-ee-oh-oo on one pitch. try these exercises near the bottom and top of your range, but don't push it. warmup your body as well: roll your head side to side and stretch. have good posture when singing breathing is super important, try to keep your shoulders level and breath outward from your diaphragm. don't sing for long periods of time. when learning a new song, sing the song first on a neutral vowel sound to learn the melody and rhythm before trying to learn the words.

Re: Shina no doru Wouldn't "hontōdesu ne" be better for the fourth line? My moonspeak is pretty basic but I thought ね was more "isn't it?" and か is more for actual questions, and it also matches the original better.
Also maybe "sagi no doru"? There's a perfectly cromulent moonword for "scam" already in the lyrics and "sukamu" seems to be more common as a transcription of "scum" than "scam".

It doesn't quite match the Dick Curless version that I based the English verses on, but the only difference is that it drops the first two lines of the third verse, and the last two which are repeats anyway.
