After Reach and Bungie leaving, Halo as a franchise has floundered by 343's mishandling. Halo was what sold xbox's and now that xbox is no longer the dominant console and Halo is no longer the premier franchise it used to be, Xbox gamers are spread out over numerous games such as overwatch and Gears and aren't centralised on one killer app.

Isn't this a really bad idea? One of the major controversies for shooters on console is the use of MnK adapters to give players advantages over those using controllers. They will have to ensure an even mix of controller and MnK users to maintain balance in matches.

343 said it was something they were going to do tests with and see how people felt with it. Fortnite does it though and controllers actually have an advantage most of the time because of aim assists on controller so they could be using the same thought process.
