These are actually worse than the mobile versions, I know because unlike everyone who hates on them I've actually played them.
Mobile versions have consistent 16-bit style 2D sprites across the board except for the font.
These versions only keep the 16 bit background sprites, draw the character sprites at an even higher resolution so they look out of place and then fucking bizarrely use ultra HD scans of toriyamas monster art and a fucking disgusting 2xSal or super eagle filter on the 16 bit battle background that looks like diarrhea and has no chance of looking natural compared to the perfectly hand drawn monster art on top of it.
Arte Piazza did good on these mobile ports and someone was paid to take a shit allover them. At least the high quality music wasn't touched.

they put on the smoothing filter on everything. it looks like punjabi's are in control of the port. I've never seen anything so half assed in my life. and they're calling it an "HD remaster," when the emulated version looks a million times better even without filters.
