Tell me about this franchise.
I never played it. Am I missing out?

You should TRY TO GET YOUR COMBAT MULTIPLIER EVEN HIGHER
No, it's garbage.
I really loved the first one when it came out, but playing it recently I learned it wasn't all that great. Peter Molyneux is a lying hack fraud
Did you follow any of the hype? Then you will be disappointed. If you didn't, it's a fun little series. Don't play anything after 2 though.
Yeah you're missing out a fuck ton. One of the most soulful games you'll ever play, you can play 1 and 2 and then just watch a cutscene compilation of 3
I thought the first game was nice but that's just my nostalgia acting up. Never played the other ones nor do I have any interest to.
No, I never heard anything but the name of the game.
It's comfy
You should be ok then. It's simple sword and magic hack n' slash with a simple story and a whimsical setting. First game is pure medieval, second is set during the beginning of the industrial age (so swords, bows, and crossbows in the first, firearms are introduced in 2). Again, don't play any of the ones after 2, and play The Lost Chapters, not Anniversary.
the first ones good the rest spiral into actual casualized bullshit
never has a series been so ruined by it than fable
no
only the first game is fun but thats mainly due gamebreaking exploits
the second and third game are fucking shit
It's mediocre. The zoom zooms who adore probably weren't old enough to remember the amount of lies Peter Molyneux promised with the game. It's extremely short and easy to break. The features that are included such as marriage or buying a house are superficial and surface level.
not really, it was fun at the time if you were a kid
there are plenty of better rpgs that came out years before and after
You're going to shit on 3 that hard but not even warn OP that Fable 2 has the worst final boss in gaming history? If you can even call that a boss.
It's shit. It was a meme in its time, and like most of Microsoft's offerings last decade it was part of the initial foray into what we view with derision as AAA/soulless today.
Microsoft has always had a difficulty creating franchises. Outside of Halo, Forza, and GoW, they've practically gone broke trying to find new big hits over the past 15 years.
It's one thing, which can be funny in a way if you let Reaver kill him instead. The rest of the game is max comfy. The only thing 3 had that was good was the 'final' boss, except that you kill him half way through the game.
I always found it amusing, I think if the boss leading up to it wasn't just that dumb diamond thing people wouldn't have minded the actual final boss.
in 2 you can be a cute girl so go with that
series ends after 2, look no further
