Expand on Borderlands 1's serious side rather than its wacky goofy side like 2 and 3 did

The first game had a genuinely unique atmosphere of being on a desolate, alien planet and writing that wasn't atrocious. The second game completely ruined it, even though the locales were more varied they also somehow felt more generic and the writing is pretty much irredeemably bad with the exception of some background lore. Bring back the style of the first game with the substance of later games.

They shouldnt have killed jack. They should have made him the series antagonist. Also fire the bl3 writers

2 is considerably worse but they really jumped the shark with 2's dlcs.
