I've bought it recently on PC because its the only god eater I havent played and I'm having fun but doing solo or playing with my overleveled friends who cleared the game is not all that fun considering they clear the quests in minutes.

No, it's legitimately just bad. I beat the first demo when it came out, was discouraged, beat the current demo and was disappointed. It feels like they've looked at a souls game but never played one. There's no weight to your movements or attacks, enemies can either be stunlocked without thought or are china shop bulls, etc. The bosses were an equally big letdown.

Forget weapons. How is the customization in this game? Are there any armor pieces in the attire department? Want to make a character that is as close as possible to a vampire knight aesthetic-wise.

No, just "veils." The jacket thingies that go on top of your outfit, which you choose in the CaC and can change at any time once you get to the safe zone.

It's more fast paced which is what I like similar to BB. The only thing is the lack of some visual cue that enemies are taking damage. As it is now it's pretty dry.

Well that's just a preference matter, if you played DS1 pvp you'd know how fast that game actually was without going in the retardation like DS3, also, my biggest problem with the combat is how weak the weapons feel, the damage is there but the feel isn't, compare this game axe with the BK great axe, you could send most enemies flying away with it and stagger the bigger ones like nothing, here the big axe barely makes them move, but yeah, it is faster in PvE

Honestly, DS3 always had the air of the dev team just not giving a shit about it in a weird way. I guess it could be because Miyazaki didn't want to make a sequel or because Bamco is really up it's own ass.

It's actually kind of hilarious. Pretty much all criticisms I've seen of this game so far were either lies, fixed after the delay, fixed after the network test or things people complain about that I'm actively celebrating (like the over the top anime-ness of your drain attacks clashing with the souls gameplay).

You can do it with a quick animation though, plenty of games have it. Not to mention you can just spam the basic attack button and it replays the same animation, it needs to flow into a few different ones, its just janky

But not if it's at the cost of gameplay smoothness. I'd rather have chunky animation than chunky gameplay. If a game can manage to look amazing on top of playing great, that's wonderful. But valuing animation over gameplay leads to Kingdom Hearts 3 aka Float Simulator 2019 and RDR2.

And the ones in this game are serviceable; and like I said earlier cancelling animations for the sake of responsive controls is not a bad thing anywhere outside of competitive PVP games, and this game is already confirmed not to have PVP.

It's best to equip yourself with weightless shit to get light weapon and dodge FORWARD so you end up behind him. When your mobility says Light, you don't do the roll dodge anymore. You do some magical zoom forward dodge that somehow avoids attacks and moves a great range. But light equipment usually means you're hitting less damage...
