It should and certainly millions will buy it without thinking, but don't underestimate Squenix ability to fuck shit up. The game could turn out to be one of the most hated remakes ever. Once the initial "OMG CLOD IN THIS GRAFIX!" spell wears off, people might realize the game is shit and begin hating on it. If the remake does turn out to be full of fail, then probably it won't harm Squenix at first, but since they are planning to release the game in episodes the later episodes might not make enough profits.

Nothing apart from the clothes tells me that is supposed to be Tifa. If she had different clothes she could be presented as a new character. I don't get any "Tifa" vibe at all from that.

Nothing about this game screams high budget. If they kept the old level of fidelity maybe but it's already been drastically downgraded.
