Don't know it but 1 year of grinding radicals allows me to instantly memorize them when I see it. Unfortunatly I can't remember how there said for dick, fug.
...
About how hard are the Yakuza games to play in Japanese?
that's a useless character that Japanese people wouldn't use or probably even know
How the fuck do japs read that shit, it's fucking tiny
Why haven't you learned it yet, Yea Forums? Don't you want to play all those cool JP only mecha games?
Reminder that Japanese will be completely dead in a decade.
I don't have the self control.
I'd have to go to a uni course with a curriculum set out for me.
I did waste 4 days a few weeks ago memorizing hiragana. Anyone wanna post some hiragana so I can know if it stuck?
Please give another "rare kanji" that is actually seen in literature.
いいえ。
iie?
That circle is basically a fullstop right?
Fuck you, this time I won't drop it. I'm sure third time's the charm.
>six years since I "started" the first time
Godawful hard because unlike the vast majority of Nip games, they are 100% made for adults and thus use way more complex vocabularly.
nigga that ain't a letter that shit is LITERALLY just squiggles
what the fuck them asians smoking to think this is language
OH NO THAT MONSTER IS TRYING TO STEAL HER WALLET!!!!
You'll be happier if you just live life to the best of your ability in the present and don't worry about apocalyptic theories about the future.
Fuck. Is there recommended stepping stone to try before moving to Yakuza?
Why would that deter me? There still an enormous backlog of Japanese media that has not been translated and likely never will be. It's not like I'm ever going to actually speak to a Japanese person.
Playing JP Legend of Mana right now. JP version has Pocketstation compatibility apparently.
Who ever said it was a race
You're only done when you tell yourself you're done
I can't remember words and kanji at all. I might have a learning disability or something.
Get in here and let's watch some jap TV losers
Itetakimasu, OP
Name five untranslated games that are worth playing, and that require an actual grasp of the language to enjoy.
Sure, but before I do, do you have any means or ways of knowing if the list of 5 fantastic Japanese only games I give you is real or complete bullshit?
I can paste them into google to ensure they exist, but I can't ascertain their quality.
A sincere thank you.
I've been meaning to watch/listen to more TV for the upcoming N2.
Sakura Wars 1-4, and Machi.
hiragana is pretty neat i nearly have all of it memorized then i can go to katakana and die while doing kanji
Wow good job user youxre almost there :)
Learning the language? Japanese has this weird stigma of "I'm just gonna learn by playing games." But language doesn't work like that. It's an incredibly complex language without the grammatical background and even then you've only just started because you still need 2k kanji and a lifetime of vocab. There's no easy transition from less understanding than a toddler to adult fiction. Especially in something like Yakuza that's intensely political and dramatic.
Isn't listing all the games from one series a little disingenuous?
Is machi much different from 428?
>youxre
I learned Japanese thanks to Yea Forums's Daily Japanese Thread years ago and now I live and work in Japan. Ask me anything
do you have any regrets?
What's it like being a traitor to your country, and a parasite in a new one?
what does the mayo taste like
SUMO ON NHK G GET IN HERE!!!
No. But I am originally from a very poor second world country, so it was an upgrade in every way. The west is fucked right now anyway.
Real good
like mayo
I can't name any actual games, but I learned jap for VNs of which there are plenty that made it worth it to me.
できない
二日で日本に引っ越するつもり。頑張ります。
Can you hook me up with a job?
I don't need to, just learn any sort of programming and a bit of Japanese and you can stay (if you're white, otherwise please don't come)
Persona is pretty easy, especially because most of it is dialogue and you have time to look up words if you're not sure
Shit like Yakuza and Nier are left for waaaaaaaay later
what advice would you tell your past dekinai self?
頑張って。
「明後日」でしょ? まだまだ足りぬ。
Shit. I don't know programming.
Language related? Nothing, I studied pretty much optimally
Non-language related? Fuck more girls before you start going bald
Any marketable skill will do
got any favorites?
>Any marketable skill will do
Well fuck.
Well, you can also teach English for a few years while studying for a better job like all the basedboys do
What are the biggest job markets besides programming? It seems every person who goes to Japan is either a programmer or an English teacher.
How do you find a job if you have a skill other than knowing English?
There's a very big shortage of IT professionals in Japan, and nobody can speak English, so this should come as no surprise. Any fields other than those two require you to have at least business level Japanese which not many foreigners have, so unless you do, you may be fucked.
Most people come here on a student visa and then do regular job hunting from inside the country.
Well it's the same as any country. They want immigrants that perform a job better than their own people. That's why tech and English teaching are the big ones. You're not really going to get over there without some marketable trade.
dekinai?
Is that correct?
What does it mean?
Any advice for finding ALT jobs when you're in the country?
思い出してください
喜びの日々
Does it feel bad knowing that you will never truly integrate into society and will always be seen as just a gaijin? I don't think I could handle it.
你好
I'm a chink what are my chances
I was always a weirdo back home as well, if anything Japanese people are way more tolerant of autists like me than people back home were (because most of them are autists themselves)
Japanese people really don't like Chinese and Koreans from what I've observed.
Correct and correct. Means no.
Correct, verb meaning 'cannot.' Plain form of できません
Probably depends on what kind of education you have, and how well you speak English.
What website did you use to search for jobs?
>What does it mean?
永遠に貴様が「出来ないくん」と呼ばれている
Mandatory Dekinai thread PSA letting you know to ignore clueless Yea Forumsirgins who have never been to Japan and want to dissuade you from following your dreams. Living in Japan is a fucking joy and I met some of the nicest and most genuine people out there. Every stereotype you've heard is perpetuated by people on the internet with no experience in the country. I have nothing but great stories.
>できません
Dekimanen?
Not positive on ma.
I only play games with imouto heroines, so Tasogare no Sinsemilla, Monobeno, Natsuiro Kokorolog and games like these are my favorites.
Close, dekimasen. ne is ね
>if you're white, otherwise please don't come
>implying you are any better than blackest immigrant
Literally are though.
Post your stories, if they're so great.
any easy to read recommendations that are not animal crossing or pokemon?
>Japanese people really don't like Chinese and Koreans from what I've observed.
I've been told about that too, and I myself also hate mainland chinks
I'm a chink from Malaysia and people often tell me if I ever visit Japan, I'll need to refer to myself as "Malaysian" instead
You know the rules
That's a very general question, user. Favorite is probably an old izakaya owner closing down early so he and I could go get smashed together and talk some more. Pretty much any old bar run by an ojiisan is gonna be a good time if you make the effort to get to now them. The whole "Old Japs hate foreigners" thing is way overblown.
