That's just a rotary tool, usually just known as a dremel. I use it for cleaning up parts, polishing, removing burrs and etching. There's a 3D printer off to the right kind of in view, the two objects on the left by my monitor is a 30v/5A variable power supply, and below that is a soldering/heat rework station. All of the other stuff is just parts I'm working on fixing or fiddling with.

Some places get dust easier than other people. It depends on where you live, if you're in a city or not.

If you're pet-free, have hardwood or tile, live outside of a city, have central air (with a filter, obviously), are a pretty clean person, and wear "non linty" clothes, you'll have a lot less dust. No way to eliminate it 100% though, so just clean once every week or two and it won't build up. Or take the "ten minutes of cleaning every day" route.

Just dust regularly, it's not that big of a deal.

I'm aware of the size of English homes, most of my extended family lives around SE London. But even then, their places have more than enough space for a single person, couple, Hell even a couple with a kid or two. And it's a manageable amount of space.

My place here is ~1,200 square feet and considered small, not to mention the size of the yard. It's way too much space, way too much upkeep, way too much work.

But I guess it's all subjective. I spend 90% of my time in my office, and almost never go to the basement or backyard unless I'm entertaining. To me it's just another room that needs cleaning for no reason, and that I had to fill with furniture and decor that I didn't need.

Nah, you good user, it's whatever you like it to be since it is your machine. I like neat desktop wallpapers but my phone I always keep with a basic stock background. Like I toyed around with some wallpapers and layouts but a lot of them making using the phone harder when the lighting is whack outside which can be a lot of the time since I work before dawn and through the morning outside. My phone for example is basic.
