Every time anyone moves to another part of the monster while grappling with the clutch claw, and also some other actions while doing the same, it makes a globally audible menu selection noise. I haven't seen anyone else mention this, which worries me because I want it fixed. Also you're all deaf.

The materials needed to make them are in the Guiding Lands at higher level gathering points and monsters.

Less reward money per cart. Abandoning a quest returns your items to their pre-quest state, but failing a quest keeps them as they were when you failed.

They’ve fucked up the matchmaking for lobbies somehow. It’ll probably be fixed in the first patch.

That's why you get it for pc, despite the delay.

Use the Filter Search instead of just matchmaking. You can pick a more populated room from a list if you want.

Been using razor sharp and never had to sharpen mid fight. Haven't tried MT yet so it may be better if you have crazy high crit.

Capcom employees dressed as whatever monster you carted to show up to your house and hold you down to beat you in the nuts with a sock filled with frozen peas and "git gud" scribble on the heel. They don't show up all at once either, rather for each monster a new one shows up on a different day. The easier the monster you carted to; the harder they swing.

PC player here, recently picked the game back up and got around to killing Behemoth, With Dante's locks and full Drachen besides + an exploiter charm, Gae Bolg has 100% affinity on orange hits, so as long as you aren't deliberately hitting monster hardpoints, MT works absolute wonders.

Sand Beotodus. Basically he replaces Cephadrome entirely, so the worst monster of the worst monster class is retconned out of the series and the best monster of the worst monster class takes his place.

Glavenus Rare Species. The original species has a Greatsword tail and Acidic has a Longsword tail, so this one shrinks the tail sword yet again to dagger size, but it’s DUAL BLADES. He has two small blades on his tail he can move at VERY high speed and use them like scissors.

Monster Hunter in its entirety was an accident, they had no clue what the fuck they were doing with the early games which is why there’s some absolute fucking trash in them.

Today I beat Shara for the first time. At 39 minutes it ties with Moldy Vaal in third place for my longest kill time, second place was Barioth at 43 min and 1st is for Velkhana at 47 min.

Yeah for a final boss Shara Ishvalda is surprisingly not shit. There’s still some Kano bullshit in his fight like all colossal monsters but for the most part his fight actually works and is fun.

I don’t know quite what causes it, but Yian Garuga’s textures look incredibly sharp which makes him very appealing to look at in game.

They should add subspecies/variants in for the Flagships like Raging Brachy, Lucent Narg, and Stygian Zinogre or something similar. How the fuck are they not in?

So, if I just hunt every monster I meet in the Grinding Lands, will I be level up any of the locales to a reasonable level? Or do I have to purposely target only the monsters from a certain region when they spawn, if I want to reach levels 6-7? Should I grind one locale exclusively and tell my friend to only grind another one?

Is there a way to max out the levels on every area, or are you doomed to stupid shit making it so you have to re-level shit every time you need a piece of something for something?

I was having that introductory Zinogre cutscene where Rath and Diablos fight but for some reason all monster models were absent, so my hunter was just running away from an insible force that broke logs and spit elemental stuff sometimes. If you wanna get to 6 or 7 then yeah you’ll have to grind only that region. Definitely get your friend to level a different region too, I’m pretty sure the reason they made it so that you can’t have every region maxed out at the same time was to encourage you to get you to play with friends with different regions or to find new people to cooperate with.

Because previous MH games had like 10 years+ of shitty PSP and Wii and DS game models to swipe, so had to do very little work at all, just porting. This is an actual game, that they had to start building everything for from the ground up, and couldn't rely on just importing models from MHFU with minor touch ups to the 3DS for. Don't worry though, they're gonna be porting these models into every MH for the next 20 years I'm sure.

Because they wanted to do a custom upgrade system which was cut for time constraints in the base game then added with Iceborne. Even with the custom upgrades nobody likes it, so hopefully they return to unique designs with MH6.

Giving the trend of getting the spiritvein gems from each tier of monsters, I assume I'm going to need to farm some tempered elders for augmenting my tier 12 armor?

Acidic Glavenus's GS is one of the top tiers in this game though, shame it had the generic bone design, made me go for the Shara GS instead because of the cooler design.

I've fought 4 of the 6 MR Tempered Elder Dragons so far, and I think Teo might actually be the one that's the biggest pain to fight. The increased speed and power along with his crazy explosions during rage mode makes attacking the head something of a death sentence without Temporal.

Luna you can account for with wind res+fireproof mantle, but since Teo's main threat is the explosions there isn't too much you can do about that. Especially if you're attacking the head, he throws out dust behind you, and you don't know how close to a cloud you are, if it's a super explosion cloud, etc. Even with 945 Defense armor and Health Boost+3 I was getting 2 shot during rage.

Blackveil Vaal is piss easy with Efluvia Resist and a Crit Draw GS set, Velk is similarly easy to bait. While Velk has AOE, it's nothing to the extent of the dust clouds Teo gets.

I still need to fight Kirin, Kushala, and Namielle... so I'll have to see which is the largest pain in the ass when all is said and done, but my current thoughts are that the power level is currently Teostra > Lunastra > Velkana > Blackveil Vaal, if you're bringing builds that aim to neutralize a monster's strengths.

Namielle on land uses primarily Water element with a bit of Thunder, while Namielle underwater uses primarily Thunder with a bit of Water.

How the fuck do you use water in water

3 outright negates Effluvium, so you won’t get your HP halved. You’ll still have to deal with tick damage but without the looming threat of Effluvium it’s not really a big deal.

They play at five different pitches sporadically, and it loops back in the high, low, low, high, med pattern every five minutes. There's a sixth version that breaks the pattern every third loop that's just a low vibration buzzing sound.

The flying bugs don't make the same sounds otherwise you'd hear the same audio in your house.

Don't remember hearing them, but maybe I just wasn't paying enough attention during the hunts. It could be the noises Grandfather Mantagrell (the giant flying bugs endemic to the highlands) make. I know bugs don't really howl in the real life, but it's a fantasy game, so anything's possible.

But if there are those ambient noises in Coral Highlands then they're, well, ambient. With the new roars in IB, they seem to be purposely brought to your attention and into the audio foreground, because when they happen even the music goes mute for a brief moment.

for the guiding lands, picking up tracks seems to give good points. other than that just fighting the monsters in the area and capturing them.
for mr, tempered monsters give good progress.

You need to break the arms as soon as possible. Just stay in sword mode until they’re broken, then when he jumps around he falls over when he lands, giving you a massive opening.

how do i unlock all the crafting recipes? I beat xeno so i thought the recipes for max potions and whateer else would unlock but they are still "???"

Axe mode is for when you want to be mobile, sword mode is for when you want to do damage
get your sword ampped as quick as possible with circle circle step circle, the damage combo is tri tri tri circle
you ideally want to be switching fairly frequent switching from axe to sword midcombo will refill your phial a little bit, hitting things with axe will also refill the phial, NEVER reload the animation is very slow and leaves you open to attacks If you ever reload you've failed there are plenty of ways to keep your phial full while still attacking and being mobile (the jumping reload is actually fairly fast but it's situational and you still have stop attacking to use it)
the axe also has good reach and can get flinches and hit thing that are flying or really tall better than the sword can (like enraged deviljho for example) the morph attack from wild swing in axe mode does a shit load damage while also giving you a lot of phial charge
ZSD does big dick damage but don't be overzealous with it, normally when do ZSD doing the full animation will blast you backward away from the monster and leave you axe mode, however you can cancel the ZSD a bit early to drop off directly in-front of the monster in be left in sword mode
you want the general blademaster skills, power prolonger is great because your sword will stay ampped for longer which means more ZSDs, more damage if you're using a power phial or more statuses if you're using an elemental phial, evade extender is good because you'll do a hop like the lance after every attack while in sword mode but the difference between you and a lancer is you don't have shield and the hop has very little i-frames
That's basically all the useful stuff i can think of as someone with 2000+ hunts with SA typing this at 4:30 am

In MHGU? When I was grinding those I did the event quest The Legend of Zelda: Courage. It has a 4% reward chance there, the highest of any quest. 2% from Daora body and tail carve and 4% from head break, so make sure you cut the tail (and keep breaking the head). Shouldn't take too long to get one.

That would still be worse, resulting in very generic building options to make more bland weapons, and it wouldn't hold a candle to weapons from previous games. Shara is one of the best big monsters in the series.

The models and textures can. I mean, sure, they're not on par with World's, but that can be easily fixed with just some polycount inflation and retouching the textures. The point is - you don't even need to make the weapons from scratch. 3D modelling pretty much doesn't consume any time compared to skeleton rigging and AI for the monsters.
But sadly that brings us back to the original point - the boned weapons are in the game not due to time constraints, but by design. Some twisted sick design.

Everyone hates the boned weapons so hopefully they don’t carry over into MH6. They knew how much everyone hated Zorah despite the amount of work they put into it and this scrapped it for MR, so they are at least listening.

I dunno about that. In one of the latest interviews when asked about gacha mommy Ryozo said that she was "received positively by the community" or something like that, which makes me think they might bring her or another siege fight back in MR.

For me it's people who try to emulate pros. They only have offensive skills and they often cart or spend half their time not able to fight because of it. Just skill for a mix of defense and offense and do consistent damage, it's not that hard.
