Are any Japanese games besides Zelda going to make money this month?

Main JP releases:
>Daemon x Machina
>Catherina Full body
>Code Vein
>Monster Hunter: Iceborne
>Dragon Quest XI S
>Luminus Avenger iX

2 remasters:
>Final Fantasy VIII
>Ni No Kuni

August 30th game that might as well count as a September release:
>Astral Chain

Big western releases that will take more eyes off these games:
>Borderlands 3
>Gears 5
>The Surge 2

Has a month ever been this bad for jap games in the west? Why'd so many choose September? October looks pretty free. And August was free as fuck.

literally what in the fuck even is The Surge and how do you think a literal what of a game's sequel is going to have any impact on sales of other games?

People who like the JP games, especially the niche ones, do not have crossover interests in the western games.

I didnt play it because Dark Souls is trash but how did you miss sci fi Dark Souls?

>March 2020
>Vampire the Masqurade Bloodlines 2
>Final Fantasy VII remake part 1
>Animal crossing

Fucking $180 on games that month

Then Cyberpunk right after that in April.

>iceborne already at 3 million
Dunno user, but it seems you can't even do a simple search.

Daemon X Machina already sold out of physical copies in Japan, so even if NA shits on it the game will be fine

Only the NPD results for September matter to the point of this thread.

Unless you're from the future, fuck off.

>Daemon X Machina already sold out of physical copies in Japan
So did Astral Chain and it sold like 40k copies.

Japanese games generaly have reasonable budgets and don't even need to break a million copies to turn a decent profit.
Western games have extremely bloated budgets and spend millions of dollars on marketing, so they need to sell 3+ million copies just to break even.

>official sales figure releases to investors isn't good enough
lmao op got fucked and now he's moving the goalposts just like a shitter would

Because they ordered few copies knowing almost everyone was gonna use the vouchers. Download Codes also flew off.

>moving goalposts

Nice reading comprehension.

Isn't this thread specifically about how games will sell in the west (were a large portion of sales stem from)? Did they specifically say that 3 mil from from the west? Gonna guess it isn't and it's a worldwide figure not relevant to the thread.

Yes, so just being sold out doesn't mean much by itself. DxM is currently #1 on nip eShop but I don't know if you can get it with vouchers.

Astral chain

How is AC doing right now?

It was on 1st place for about 3 weeks, now it dropped to 3rd.

I just checked and is on 4 place, also why DxM already has a 10% off sale?

Probably just so it shows up in the deals section. Pretty smart move.

They should do the same for the western store because that shit is only rank 21 in the US.

Code Vain will sell, Gears 5 won't affect sales that much because of game pass, The Surge 2 is kind of niche and Borderlands has lost it's spark (it lost it 2 games ago)

Non of the west games will impact JP games, especially when you consider the consoles they're on. DQ11 will sell gangbusters, as will MH. Code Vein will do well. The rest will do good for whats expected of them.
