You HAVE done all the Classic challenges on all the maps on Master difficulty, haven't you Yea Forums...
What do you want to talk about? I'd be down but I can't really think of much to comment.
How do you like they way IO has been handling releasing new content every month with a roadmap, even if it mostly boils down to new escalations and challenges?
What do you think will be in the Halloween/October content since after this or next month they are done with expansion pass content?
Is there anything you wish IO should add to the game to make it better besides bug fixes?
Nope. I only did SASO on every map for both professional and master, I THINK I did the bank too. I just never did the classics because I don't care enough about the unlocks. Maybe one day though, can't see how it can be any harder than what I already did.
Why does modern 47 look like Johnny Sins
not that I think it's a bad idea
Idk, but it resembles his Blood Money incarnation more than his 2016 appearance.
You're honestly not that far off. If you did the no evidence challenge for the SASO, then all you really need to do is Sniper Assassin which doesn't even require you to be in your suit to do and the bodies can be found as long as you don't get caught killing them in the act.
So is there anything worth seeing in Absolution?
I imagine it's a good way to keep the game relevant across an extended period of time since it's no longer an episodic title, but the additions have been mostly fluff in my opinion. It can't hurt but it disappoints a little to see a new item being added after a couple of months only for it to be a reskin of something you already have.
Items like the emetic grenade that they're adding this month actually look like game changers, which can be interesting since deep down it's the same game as HiTMAN 2016.
We know from this content roadmap that Halloween won't give us another suit as that slot has been taken up by the Kashmirian suit, so I imagine it would be a challenge pack and the theme for that month's Featured Contracts, in fact I think I remember some user mentioning they were adding a good bunch of challenges and Escalations from the previous game in October, could be related to that.
In all honesty I'm surprised they're finishing up the Expansion Pass this early, I figured they'd drip feed it for a longer period of time to bridge the gap towards H3.
If I were to ask for things of IO off the top of my head I'd like for them to properly implement disassembling animations for putting and taking snipers out of briefcases. There's the all too famous driving glove issue but that doesn't look like it's changing.
Oh, I'd like it for them to make it so you can link your progress to your account and import it between versions, thus if I decided to, say, start playing H2 on PC I'm not screwed out of the time limited unlocks I already have on another platform.
I think Colorado is ok but it lacks verticality.
>I think I remember some user mentioning they were adding a good bunch of challenges and Escalations from the previous game in October
Oh shit, I forgot about that. Would be nice to finally have every challenge and unlock from the first season in Hitman 2, I remember there was some stuff like an unlockable katana that never made it over.
>In all honesty I'm surprised they're finishing up the Expansion Pass this early, I figured they'd drip feed it for a longer period of time to bridge the gap towards H3
At this rate, I hope this means we will hear about Hitman 3 by E3 next year or earlier. I have a feeling they are going to release Elusive Targets in maps they haven't done them in yet, then pull a Hitman 2016 and do another round of all the ETs before Hitman 3 drops. Speaking of Hitman 3, I remember they said in the latest AMA or whatever that they liked the idea of a hideout level where you can play with all your unlocks, and that a Bangkok ET and unlockable tactical suit from the Hawke's Bay mission would be coming as well.
>Oh, I'd like it for them to make it so you can link your progress to your account and import it between versions
This is honestly my number one request as well as all my progress is on PS4 and I'd like to carry it to PC. I'd also like first-person mode added back in on top of a more in-depth or fully moddable/customizable contracts mode and more creative and fun unlocks that can change the game. They should drop Sniper and Ghost modes as they are a waste of time and resources imo.
I really want the new map already. I also want more maps being used and remixed for smaller targets. I really enjoy those.
I haven't done all the master Classic challenges in 2's missions yet. The ICA executive briefcase is much better looking than the black leather one so I haven't had much motivation to complete them.
I'm actually really worried that IOI are going to take the EGSpill with Hitman 3.
>EGSpill
Doubt it. They know they have a shit ton of players on every platform and a big part of the game is carrying progress over to the new maps. If they wanted money from excluisivity, they would have allowed themselves to be bought out by Microsoft or Sony already.
>Silverballer
>is black
Speaking of remixed maps, the bonus assignments that came with The Bank were surprisingly lazy, little more than a glorified ET. I wonder if the two coming with The Resort will be the same.
Nigga, lemme tell you 'bout my toolbox.
This is from August. I'm still working on the Syberia shit. Real life has set me back quite a bit.
>All classic challenges on Master difficulty
That would take over a hundred hours. Fuck that.
No it wouldn't. Because Hitman 2016 didn't have a Master difficulty. Auto-win.
How the fuck do I even electrocute the guy. I am so confused on it. I killed everybody in the bank and dragged him around and couldn't find a single place to electrocute the janitor. Am I just retarded? Should I have brought the car battery with me?
You could use the broken electrocution phone the map gives you for doing the Opportunities.
>40 featured contracts
It honestly wouldn't be so bad if all the featured contracts IO chose weren't "kill these 4 schlomos who are separated as far as possible on the map with all these conditions". Some of them are fun and okay, most of them are shit. Just trying to get the wrench at this point.
>classic items dont look anything like classic shit from the old games
lol
You can't start with that in the loadout.
Wrench is the only one worth a damn, anyway. Though I think the hobby knife is not illegal.
If you're talking about the Bank escalation, literally carry the car battery from the garage and throw it into the puddle the janitor is cleaning up. It will shock on impact when it hits the ground and the water will electrocute the janitor.
How did you kill the blackmailer?
My mistake, you should be able to find a car battery still.
>tfw no classic fiber wires with animations resembling those from the old games
goddamn it i am retarded. I literally fucking used it on someone else and then fucking killed everybody in the bank, everyone. All of them and dragged the guy to every goddamn room trying to figure out where I could salvage it. It took me about half an hour too. Fuck me.
It was fucking easy like all ETs now.
>start in the dressing room disguised as stylist
>find the model with the same face paint as the Blackmailer
>drop electrocution phone
>walk towards exit after he picks it up and you trigger it
Beat it under a minute.
>silverballer
>gunmetal grey
I dropped the catwalk light rig on him and then I realised I couldn't pick the USB.
Skulking around the cornfield as a scarecrow and skulking around the penthouse as a samurai (from a museum display) are fucking kino.
Point shooting is really fun, it really is better as an action game
Why has every ET so far been piss easy?
More importantly, why do they keep repeating Paris when there are locations that haven't had a single ET?
I actually stood at against the wall, shot him with my sniper and then casually walked over to the boat. Was a loud sniper too I didn't really care.
Better question is why do they do so many ETs when they can just give us more remixes for fucks sake.
I think calling them remixes is a bit of a misnomer, The Decievers simply glued two separate targets together.
When I did it, I just cherry-picked ones on levels I enjoyed that didn't have instant-fail "optional" objectives. Took me about 2 days of my free time. Uh. 6 hours maybe. It wasn't bad. Kind'a fun. Ultimately pointless because it's just another fucking suitcase, but whatever.
Now, Sniper Assassin shit on the hand. God dammit. I JUST started Syberia today and finished every challenge -- Level 11/20. I found out I could Silent Assassin the level in about 1 minute, 30 seconds, for 1,400,000 points. Even at that rate, it's still going to take me about 2 hours just sitting there playing whack-a-mole to get the Sniper Rifle. I can't believe they haven't lowered EXP requirements on that shit.
I keep crashing
Stop drinking before getting behind the wheel.
Anons, please tell it to me straight:
I am going to go work and live abroad for 1 year at the end of October.
Do I have time to play Hitman 2 Gold to completion before that? I'm fucking rushing to get back my progress in legacy so I can use H1 items in 2. I reached Colorado just now.
(Still haven't done Subject Zero campaign either ffs)
Do the other two levels have unlocks for the main game too or is it only Siberia?
I haven't even attempted the Sniper Assassin grind on PS4 because I can't use slow-mo. My Dulashocks are broken and I'm using a controller converter to play on a Wii U Pro Controller, the downside is that the trigger are digital and not analog. Since you can't remap controls on PS4, and they mapped slow-mo to holding the analog trigger halfway down on PS4, I am fucked unless I up my reflexes a ton. I just decided to say fuck it and not attempt them even though a sniper rifle is unlocked for the regular maps by doing the Siberia map
Depends on how hard you're going to play, but yeah, it's pretty doable if you're going for completion. If you want to replay each level 50 times you'll run short.
Never should've let Jesus be my designated driver
There's numerous reasons for game hiccups. Everything from Intel TurboBoost (disable it in the BIOS) to graphic card drivers (too old or too new) to graphic settings being too high to using the wrong DX version. It's a fucking train wreck. Personally, I found lowering my graphic settings fixed a freezing issue I had (every 30 minutes or so, the GPU would freeze for a few seconds while the audio kept playing). YMMV.
Not saying you're a console gamer, but this shit is why I always encourage console gamers to just stick to it. The leap to PC is just too big. If they aren't raised on them, they'd take years to catch up enough to able to game (and troubleshoots games, which is required for like 30% of them).
To absolute completion with all unlocks unlocked? It's doable but it will have to consume you for a good couple weeks. And by consume, I mean you will need to spend at least 3 or 4 hours a day every day. If you're just playing the game casually, then you won't be able to unlock everything, especially since they are still adding new content to the game every week.
>If you're just playing the game casually, then you won't be able to unlock everything
Idk about that, doing SASO runs on Master gives you a metric shitton of XP, it's definitely doable if you're competent.
Only Siberia, thank god. Because the other two levels have THREE rifle options each (SIX total), and ALL of them have a different mastery bar. Meaning you'd have to level 1-20 SIX times to max them all out.
Pic related. Look at the top-left.
Those 2 snipers are meant to be mastered in a co-op mode IIRC. That's why they have less abilities/special bullets than the first sniper rifle.
Yeah, co-op Sniper Assassin is one of those bad ideas. I'm glad the achievements for them are just 1 round. Basically you show up and just starting shooting everything that moves and the level is done in 30 seconds. If there was an achievement for Multi-Player Silent Assassin or something you'd have to actually tap your friends list and get someone on voice comms and all that. I have no friends that play Hitman 2. True story. So I'd end up either soliciting on the Steam forums or using the Steam Achievement Manager or whatever it's called just to check it off the list.
Excalations are great so I dont mind it honestly.
Emeteric Grenade is pretty funny.
Does it make them puke on the spot?
I thought it didn't come out yet.
I can see emetic grenade breaking several maps. Having an instant poison bomb that causes everyone to seek out a bathroom/trashcan or throw up on the spot and ignore you seems like it could be fun to fuck around with.
It looks like they've went a bit "fuck it" and started giving you overpowered stuff. The electrocution phone being a portable accident kit is ridiculous.
It didn't but its definitely gonna be a funny thing to dick around with. Speaking of funny things I also beat the one escalation where you dress up as the clown and hit people with the baseball bat.
Even though I beat the Hospital challenge where you knock out masked guards while dressed as the baseball player the same janky things that made that annoying were also present there.
Is there any reason why I should switch from my pirate copy to the paid copy? I paid for Nu-man one and thought the game-as-a-service shit wasn't worth it. Unlocks, escalations, elusive targets, the lot.
What janky things happen with the baseball bat?
I'm kind of okay with it. You don't have to use the OP items, and the more unique stuff they throw at us the better. I remember another gas grenade got leaked that was red, so either there is going to be a lethal gas grenade or sedative gas grenade unlock in the Resort.
Really, besides supporting IO Interactive and getting permanent unlocks and doing community made contracts, I wouldn't see an incentive besides IO constantly releasing bug fixes and patches I don't think pirated users are getting. Any missions or scenarios with dumb bugs ruining things for you won't be fixed.
Many times I would throw the baseball bat because getting close for a melee strike was a death sentence because guard npcs (many times bunched together with the npcs i need to knock out) will just fill me with bullets. Often when I tried to pick the bat back up i ended up picking up the gun from the fallen guard instead.
That's what I thought. While I really enjoyed the first HitmanTM, IOI was late on every promise, the servers sucked at launch, every unlock was a reskinned bomb of some sort, the different starting areas and disguises are something I never used, ETs were always on Paris and retard simple, and my loadout was always a silenced pistol, lockpick, and coins. Some of the escalations were kind of fun, like the ones that added laser tripwires to missions and such, but for the most part they were just filler. IOI reeaaaally loved Paris for HitmanTM 1.
With the pirate copy my loadout is limited to the default silenced pistol, coins, and the fiber wire since I can't unlock anything but it doesn't change my approach much seeing as how crowbars are everywhere and they function as a shittier lockpick.
Man, that's a sad sight. What's a Hitman game with no tools?
Since you're essentially playing offline why not just grab a save off somewhere with a few more things unlocked? I personally would at least want a sniper rifle in my Hitman.
