So what's the Yea Forumserdict?
Wasn't it supposed to be a blunder of the century?

Shut the fuck up you stupid ass bitch.

It wasn`t. It was completely competent. It did way better than fucking MN9, I`ll tell ya that much,

It didn't flop, so nobody is interested in talking about it.

Very good game.

Thanks.
Good to know since it on top of my wishlist right now. This wasn't a bait thread by any means.

Eh don't worry. Go and enjoy it.

The Switch version is poor, but that's about it.
I'm hoping they actually follow through on fixing it though because that's the version I bought.

Playable Snake when?

Its ugly and broken. Handles nicely. Ain't no mn9 bad.

Solid. Not amazing, but if you just want modern SOTN, it delivers.

Shut up nigger

Still broken on like half the versions, and nothing will ever fix those visuals.
Plays alright as a game, though. Them charging for the dlc that got paid for by the kickstarter is a dick move, though.

Have they patched the Switch version yet?

>NSwitch
It was.

WHERE'S
THE
FREE
DLC

Not yet, the past three or four Kickstarter updates are "We're working on it".

The actual campaign post-funding has been pretty well handled.

All of their staff have been put on the Switch version since launch trying to fix it. They've even enlisted the help of Epic for UE4 optimisation.

It probably wont look any prettier, but it's likely getting a Rocket League-esque fix. They said a week or so ago that they're still hard at work on it but can't even confirm a release date for it. We'll basically have to download a patch the size of the entire game.

>shovel knight
>realistic basedboy portraits
>le cat of d00m!
>forced waifubait

Yikes

>took the money and ran
Fuck IGA.

>505 came out and said the costumes were going to be paid now
>tfw they're obviously, slowly revving the audience up to say that Zangetsu and Dominique are paid as well

Biggest complaint was it looks like shit, but I thought it was fine. Its a great contemporary SotN game. My only gripe about it is it gets laughably easy no matter what difficulty you pick.

Delayed to unfuck the abomination that is the Switch version, so as good as cancelled.

Did they fix the shitty port yet?

I'd bet money that the Switch version has actually been "fixed" for a while, they just haven't released it to deflect any possible contempt of not releasing the other things onto hating the company that ported the switch version.

Which is frustrating, because the physical copy of the game is effectively just a key to the proper version of the game at that point.

I can only hope they do a reprint of the game that has the proper version in the future.

It amazes me that of all versions to treat like an afterthought, it was the Nintendo handheld port. 6 out of the 7 IGAvania games are still Nintendo Handheld exclusives to this day. How could they possibly have not realised that Switch would have been the go to platform for the next IGAvania? Like the fucking Xbox audience aren't going to have fond memories of their time playing Harmony of Dissonance and Portrait of Ruin.

I highly doubt it. They gave so little of a fuck about the Switch port that they shipped the game with a PS4/Xbox steelbook. It just had a slip-in plastic hold for your Switch cartridge.

>Like the fucking Xbox audience aren't going to have fond memories of their time playing Harmony of Dissonance and Portrait of Ruin.
You do remember that Symphony of the Night was a launch title for the Xbox 360, right?
The Xbox One is also the only system with HoD multiplayer still going "strong".

And surprise surprise the Switch version ended up selling the most out of all of them, just like with CotM. Absolute fucking retards, the physical version is fucking worthless now as well.

Symphony is all they had, though. Same with Playstation.

Circle, Harmony, Aria, Dawn, Portrait and Ecclesia were all Nintendo Handheld exclusive. Who would you expect is your target audience? The guys that got 6/7 games exclusively, or the guys that got 1/7 games as a late port?

You're discounting the rest of the franchise arbitrarily, but ok.

Great game, I loved it and I don’t even like Metroidvanias

>rest of the franchise
Not at all the same style and still mostly on Nintendo systems, good job, dum dum.

It's good.

really good game and worth the asking price, still a bit disappointed that they haven't released any of the promised content patches yet
even without these patches the game is good though, not really any other SOTN style games on Steam at the moment
I hear rumours that their lack of content updates is the result of desperately trying to fix the Switch port, which is apparently still quite lacking

>now the only contender is gameplay "style"
You do know the sheer amount of metroidvanias on playstation and xbox, right? It's like the indie gameplay style of choice.

did I just get cheated? I'm really sure that I pledged for the steel case.

We're talking about Castlevania here, you dumb fuck.

best Metroidvania ive played, good stuff

No, we're talking about Bloodstained.
Your little goalpost just changed to being "gameplay style", which fucks your argument sideways.

It was okay. Game started well, last 5 dungeons were all rehashed assets with reused enemies after hidden desert and den of behemoths was just terrible.

Its like they just handed the entire game to interns after the gebel fight

So it's your first then

Good for you

>le cat of d00m!
?

JANKSTAINED!

-balding boomer portraits
-broken spells
-people complaing about nerfing OP stuff
-no difficulty past 1st Zangetsu boss fight
-"slash the moon to progress"
-Free DLC has become paid DLC and won't release this year

even the die hard fans are pissed off, lmao

If you look at the rest of the franchise, it only gets worse. Until the Classic Collection this year, Castlevania 1-4, Vampire's Kiss, Adventure 1-2, Legends, 64, Legacy of Darkness, both versions of Kid Dracula and Judgment (don't laugh) were all Nintendo exclusive. That's the vast majority of the franchise. Then you throw in the previously mentioned 6 exclusives. That's 19 fully exclusive Nintendo Castlevania games.

X6800, Sotn, Bloodlines, Rondo, Vampire Killer, Lament, Curse, Harmony of Despair and the Lords of Shadow Trilogy (one of which appeared on 3DS as a timed exclusive) were the only games to not appear on Nintendo systems. That's 10 games not on Nintendo and one that appeared on 3DS. Two thirds of the franchise was Nintendo exclusive up until this years collection. It never made sense to treat the switch port as a second class citizen. And you know they feel the same way because they're scrambling to fix it rather than make all the other content they promised. Even Curse of the Moon sold twice as many units on Switch than any other version.

Look at which console got Hollow Knight first. Look at which console is the only one getting Silksong for now.
Look at the fact the genre is called METROIDvania. Half the name comes from a Nintendo franchise.

>franchise isn't exclusive anymore
>"bbbbut that doesn't count!!"
Fucking child.

>Look at which console got Hollow Knight first.
I like how you bullshit this to try and say that PC didn't have it as an exclusive for like a year and a half.
Jesus, this is sad of you.

>Your little goalpost just changed
Nothing changed, you're just too retarded to hit the goal.

>And you know they feel the same way because they're scrambling to fix it rather than make all the other content they promised.
Too little too late, should've made a good port day one.

>mfw reading how to get the good ending

I think the devs must have been amateurs, graphics could have been way better and clearer
Gameplay is tight though

Legitimately it's better than Symphony of the Night. It's just a bigger, better, all around more fun version of Symphony with tiny bits of the best parts of Aria of Sorrow, Order of Eccelsia, and a little bit of Portrait for good measure.

Imagine being a switchfag
