Try not to get burnt out though, OP, as the gameplay does get repetitive later on. The base game is long as shit and the expansions are huge as well. I regret that I burnt out by the end and wasn't able to play them.

Eh, I never had this mindset but I still didbt care that much about inquisition. Combat was nice but the quest and progression system sucked ass. So many side quests and fetch bullshit deluded the story so much that I had no idea what was going on or what the plot even was 2 hours in. To make matters worse theyes force you to do the sidequests to even progress the main story. Dropped it after playing it for a whole day and never finished it.
The best part of this game is the romances and they're shit.

I watched it played through by a guy who put himself through more hours of shitty DA games than a man should bear, and it looked like a single-player MMO game but a really bad one. Inquisition doesn't receive hate unless it's in relation to Origins. On it's own no one ever thinks about, it's not bad and it's not good. It's acceptably average so long as you skip the mmo shit tier sidequests. With the dlc it's more good than bad since it fixes most of the terrible problems base game has. Still shit in relation to Origins, but passable
DA:I has one of the best character creators in western RPGs.
And the DLC were actually pretty great, especially Trespasser.

Better than ME3 and DA2 by far, but that isn't saying much. The Gameplay can be fun, but is mostly an mmo style boring grind, the story is very meh, the characters are hit and miss.
The main story missions are fun and really long, but there are only like 5 of them.

Because BioWare made it, and because it has a gay character, a lesbian character, and a tranny character in it, bear in mind none of their sexualities are ever revealed to you or relevant at all unless you choose to go down that path but just the fact that they're even there triggers Yea Forums for some reason.
It's a fine RPG. BioWare has made better games and it's far from perfect, but it's fun and well written with mostly likeable characters. It's a solid 8/10 in my book and though there are some, as you put it, "cringy" dialog moments I don't at all regret the 60+ hours I sunk into it. I certainly enjoyed it more than anything I've played this year so far.

The game is hated because it plays like a single player MMO where 60% percent of the game is fetch quests that have no substance. I even enjoyed the game for what it was, but I completely understand that there is a lot to hate about this game.

I started DA:I last week after buying it in 2015 and dropping it after 2hr
its a single player MMO with theme parks. now im actually fine with it since I'm a retard that enjoys a few hours of mindless grinding, but the performance of the game is terribad and the characters are not particularly interesting. it says a lot that the most interesting characters are the ones from the previous games
