That's something that was set up as possible in like patch 2.2 when the Sahagin with the Echo jumped his soul into another body. Zenos gave himself the bootleg Echo, so it makes sense that he would be able to do the same trick. It's also what makes Ascians impossible to kill unless you absorb their aether somehow.

This is for all bosses on Eden Savage. MNK shows on top but BLM's max outlier is still ahead, so if you're a great BLM you won't lose to a MNK despite BLM showing 2nd here. Other than that, you can easily see the gap between min performers and max performers. BLM's the biggest which means a lot of people can't play it well and there's a big disparity between performance among BLM players. MCH is the smaller meaning most of everyone who plays MCH can play somewhat the same and there isn't a whole lot of skill variables compared to other jobs.

You need to oGCD weave between every single GCD, you have four timers to keep track of (Huton, Trick Attack, Shadow Fang, Bunshin), your weaponskills all have positionals (mostly behind the target), and have to manage your Ninki to line up your TA/Bunshin at the same time.

Considering how big a gap there is between the bar and the max outlying dot, it's probably safe to say that range is most of orange percentile, which is where BLM takes ahead. If you're a 97+ BLM then I don't think you can lose to a MNK except perhaps the very best MNK's in the world. Which goes back to what I said. If you're great...

Back in the day, Warriors were the objectively best tank in Everquest. Highest mitigation, high weapon-skill/less misses, and other things. Shit utility though.

If looking primarily at numbers, Shadow Knights and Paladins would never beat the Warrior at being a tank numbers why, but they weren't shit either. Both had tons of utility, although less of a big deal when in a proper group. SK's had all sorts of agro tools, Paladins could take over utility support and just less healers heal. All was good.

In today's mmos, more and more fights are being designed for cutting-edge strategies and more and more people are swearing by the theorycraft, whether or not they can make the theory into reality. Does this mean people should go the opposite direction, with full-on care bearing and no way to keep track of how others are doing on numbers? No, that's just the other extreme on the spectrum.

Besides other post-WoW issues, mmorpgs have been getting themselves into gameplay corners with the heavy reliance on things like deadly boss mods and numbers trackers. I think this started with 2 things back in WoW: Enrage/Timer mechanics and certain bosses that were unforgiving with their abilities not being expected (Zul'Aman primarily).

Basically that box plot tells us fucking nothing about the skill level required.

You're wrong though. Utility 'price' is not what makes each job unique, how each job accomplishes its DPS is what makes it unique. SAM builds up its sen for a biggus dickus damagus maximus hit. BLM has burn and recover phases. NIN piles bunshin into its TA window and goes to town. RDM balances two mana bars then does melee when they are full. These are what make jobs unique. All I wish to do is make DPS similar between the individual members of the four archetypes (Melee DPS > Ranged DPS > Tanks > Healers).

Your DPS plummets if you fuck up your shit as NIN. Losing Huton in particular is guaranteed to severely screw you. Assuming 450 ilvl, an amazing NIN will probably do somewhere around 12k-12.5k. An average or mediocre NIN will hover at 8.5k or 9k.

There isn't "quite a range inbetween" at all! That's the point of an outlier. It's exceptional and limited set of data. You could probably count on one hand the number of parses, if any, fall outside of the max recorded range of the data. That's the whole point of the box plot, to show where the values fall within a min, and a max range. The fact that you think there are a lot of data points outside of the chart really leads me to think that you've never encountered a chart like this before. Anything above the max line would be such a small percentage of players it would fall outside of simply being great, it would have to be something specifically ran for or tailored to to produce such a large score.

Could never find people who got past the second flares even when that was stated in the pf as requirement. Only ever got to enrage twice so got little practice. I worked out what had to be done for both melee positions on paper and then decided to just hop on a Duty Incomplete party instead of Practice. The second run I got into a murder party that knew what to do, and even then 5 of us died during the quietus phase and the tank finished the job chipping at it from 2%.

MNK has the highest DPS of melee DPS, yet there are more DRGs and more SAMs than MNKs.

Dungeon farm/PoTD farn. Do side quests. You get exp bonus for high level job. You will unlock 50lvl+ dailies in HW

nin and mnk are both better and harder than their stormblood versions

All your classes get an exp bonus IF you have one class/job leveled ahead of them. So, just do the MSQ and level up your main job and it'll be easier to level up all your other jobs that are lower level. Also, remember to unsub.

It's common to go on either big lose streaks or big win streaks in frontline because of how team sorting works. Even if you have Freelancer selected, which most people do as far as I know, you end up getting put on the same team over and over, so teams are usually the same if you keep repeatedly queuing.

As a healer, this is definitely not true. The one that’s lagging behind by far is The Akedemia. In Amaurot, the first boss can actually put out some damage, and the purple things that latch onto healers and apply a healing down debuff can make doing large pulls kinda strenuous if the dps aren’t on their shit and kill it. Also Amaurot’s final boss, for whatever reason, people don’t realize they are standing in the way of the big ass beams, which has led to me doing many life-saving spot heals.

In contrast, Akedemia has wall to wall pulls that aren’t a challenge and the bosses are a joke, especially the last one.
