I is the best but VII has Tifa who has cute stinky feet from wearing thick woolen socks all day
VIII has Rinoa who has a cute bush because she’s Japanese and it’s the 90’s

no idea, I'd probably go for VI, VII or Tactics[/spoileronly played I through VIII though

XIII is my favorite

XIII
Step into the rainbow, world you never knew
Chase the arcs of light, soar beyond your sorrows
Dance among the colors, let them be your dreams
Close your eyes and see anew
Dawn of the new day
Clears all our gloom away
This is the hope that we need to go on
Dawn of the new day
Clears all the gloom away
This is the hope that we need to go on

VI is my favorite.

.....do I actually agree with someone on this website?

I really like IX, probably because it was the first one I was exposed to as a child.

X and XV

1 and 2 are the only ones I liked enough to play multiple times.

>II
Based, I have it for Famicom and PS1 fuck am the Zoomers who played it on the Advanced Gay Boy

6 and 13-2.

IV,VI,VII and X

7
Lite rpgs, aka jrpgs, focus more on the adventure rather than the character building, as such, 7 best fits that adventure focus among the FF. You could argue maybe 8 or 9 as they are roughly, equally grand in scope, but 8 and 9 have a host of quirks that bring down the adventuring and overall game that 7 doesn't have or has to a far lesser extent.

V
>Combines ATB with Job system seamlessly
>Bartz is a megachad who had a harem in a jrpg before it was cool
>Began the long saga of Gilgamesh
>Battle on the Big Bridge is the best final fantasy battle theme
>Had a no nonsense villain. No "Muh Mother" or "We live in a society" bullshit
>Had a actual character death, something IV couldn't pull off.
>Had a lighter-hearted story compared to other games that we wouldn't see until IX
>probably the most challenging Final Fantasy game

Best Gameplay - 5 (Job system is fucking amazingly good)
Best Story - 7
Best Characters - 4
Best music - 10
Best villain - 14
Overall best - 9

6>5>7>9> all the rest
