is this going to be the most pretentious game of all time? does anyone thinks he is going to deliver it?
Is this going to be the most pretentious game of all time? does anyone thinks he is going to deliver it?
kojima post-joosten is really a sad story - one of a lost child with no purpose in life and no forward looking ambition. no wonder his newest game looks like shit. he could have had a nice looking jap dutch child but forfeited it with his incessant need for greed.
mgs5 really soured me but even that game had amazing mechanics and a really good open world. The part that sucked was when I did the exact same thing for 100 hours. This game looks very very very similar to mgs5 which makes me kinda worried, so far the biggest difference seems to be the fucking hub wash your face bullshit which I do NOT give a fuck about. So far its a probably not from me
What‘s up with this connection shit anyway, will I be able to properly play this without the paid online service? I really don‘t care for stuff like this.
why does that guy give me sorrow/mantis vibes?
It's basically Dark Souls co-op. It actually really fucking annoys me he's acting like this is some revolutionary idea when From did it a console generation ago.
Because like Inafune he needs to cash in on nostalgia fans.
because kojima has only one story that he've been telling again and again, he creates new names and appearances for his characters but they're still the same characters
Why do people even want to play this. Why not just become a postman irl if you want to deliver packages so badly.
I always disliked these Souls games too, so I guess it is not for me. I‘m generally wondering who‘s supposed to buy this game. Of course he has his cultists who eat up anything he produces, but beyond these people I can‘t think of anybody it is catered toward.
Do we really need 2000 damage controls for every second of footage shown about this game?
why indeed
Shut the fuck up Stefanie
Kojima is the absolute definition of a Japanese westaboo.
>Obsessed with everything about it
>Can't even speak fluent English and uses Google translate
>he's acting like this is some revolutionary idea
he doesn’t thought, Yea Forums brainwashed you with out of context screenshots
Imagine if Borderlands 3 released with Randy saying "it's actually not a looter-shooter, it's a new kind of game from the BADASS genre".
The embarrassing thing is that it's Kojima so he can get away literally making shit up. It's like the Zodiac Killer giving himself his own nickname - pretentious and pathetic.
So, with this 'strand' shit I'm guessing you need a PS+ account to participate with? Leaving packages or other shit for people to pick up, that's online shit.
The best part about death stranding is how effectively it exposes brainlets
>that game had amazing mechanics and a really good open world
Not really moron
>social strand system
HAHA RIIIIIGHT because "strand" can refer to a strand of thread or wire or string or it can refer to being one part from a whole, like being "stranded" in a remote location with nobody else around. Those crazy Japanese and their homophones, eh?
So what fuckin games DO you like then?
Damm... poor joosten is really thirsty for that jap microdick
pic related
Are there any other games that insist upon themselves this hard?
So the general idea is that all death effects the game for you and other players and makes your goals harder. But with life and death being an endless loop some players will find chaos more fun than the game's mission. It'll be interesting.
JRPG and platformers like Kirby and Megaman.
>My new game is actually connected to the mgs world haha, didn't expect that, did you? haha im so brillant, you filthy gajin
I didn't realize speaking a language was so integral to appreciating culture from another part of the world.
If they let kojima direct a hollywood movie will he go back to creating actual games. It seems like an itch he just needs to scratch. Using famous actors as character models for his game seems like a bad idea to me. You cant create iconic video game characters this way and it lacks imagination
>creator himself announcing a new genre named after his game
sounds like a huge cunt in full damage control
you’re being ironic but it IS integral
he's stated numerous times that he enjoys making games.
if it just so happens that the story aspect of his games is cinematic, I don't understand why it riles you retards up so much.
If you don't like it don't fucking play it. More than a million people like it.
stop making baseless dumbass deductions based on your inept perception of things.
>communication with an extraterrestrial species, to gain understanding of their intent, is the same as appreciating different cultures on earth
>example of a fictional film
I wasn't being ironic. Are you?
>don't like it don't buy it
If ever there was a weaker argument.
>cinematic
Plenty of good games have cinematic moments which don't beat you over the head with "wow I met [Hollywood celebrity] while making this game!"
I think you're too hung up on the hollywood actor aspect which really just is an argument for this game although that doesn't prevent people from saying he always wanted to make movies when taking his past games into consideration.
He could have easily not had actors playing characters, but as he had the option and the privilege of doing so, he did.
>If ever there was a weaker argument.
Video games are a consumer product and you are a fucking moron for thinking this is not the only valid argument in consumerism. If you don't like a certain aspect of a video game so much that you literally can't overlook it, then you should stick to playing video games that you can stomach instead.
Don't go around claiming its a mistake because it doesn't fit your definition of what a video game should be.
I know mommy and daddy changed your diaper any time you shat in your pants, but the real world and its industries are not designed to cater to individuals. He's not making this game for you, he's making it for himself and the millions of other people who will enjoy it.
This. The moment you hear someone likes the game it's time to step away
>don't criticize, just consume
We can see that you have nuggets of shit stuck in your teeth but that doesn't mean we want to share the same diet
>option and the privilege to do so
So do lots of games. They don't force it down my throat though. Did you realise Idris Elba was in a Call of Duty?
Kojima isn't the only one either. Keanu Reeves in Cyberpunk is massively distracting, since him, like Norman Reedus, is essentially the same looking person placed in game for reasons - creative bankruptcy or otherwise.
Kojima's hard-on for Hollywood is why we lost Hayter for Sutherland. It was also a big complaint many people had about MGS4.
>stick to playing games you can stomach
The "if you like it don't buy it" mindset is why travesties like lootboxes and microtransactions in single player games exist. Critiquing Kojima for using celebrity likenesses as a substitute for character design and to carry his game's image is fair play if you ask me.
>I know mommy and daddy changed your diaper whenever you shat your pants
Of course they did, we were all infants at one point user. Not sure why that is relevant here.
Remember, "don't ask questions, just consume products and get excited for more products".
you're not criticizing it though. criticizing is a healthy conversation.
you're just listing stuff that you don't want in the game and marking it off as a mistake, in your supposed opinion, lacking in any credential as it is.
I don't think you're mentally mature enough to criticize anything to be honest. Anything you don't like is a mistake on everyone else, and anything you do like should be a standard set in stone.
>not mentally mature enough
>last post literally about pooping pants
>Did you realise Idris Elba was in a Call of Duty?
yes. and I also remember people on this board being excited for kevin spacey being in another cod game. but we'll shelve that for now.
>the same looking person placed in game for reasons - creative bankruptcy
this is the crux of the problem with this argument is. where is any proof that this is a lack of creativity, outside of your perception of what you think is going on. is there any news of their character designer resigning so they have to resort to using existing faces to create characters? how does a conscious decision to use face models and voices of actors equate to 'creative bankruptcy'
>massively distracting
matter of opinion, and really not worth arguing as fact.
>Not sure why that is relevant here
being an adult as you are, I'm sure you realize that as you get older, things aren't catered to match each individual person. you're buying a video game, not a custom dildo; and from the sound of it it doesn't seem like you have any intention of playing it, but you do thrive on providing baseless subjective criticism on it regardless.
can you point out one objective fault with what you've seen so far about the game that doesn't boil the argument back down to 'don't play it if you don't like it'?
