Are we hype?
Are we hype?
That demon something form looks promising, other than that, if they didn't fix the loot system it's gonna suck like the first one.
Not really. I liked Nioh a lot but I wanted Nioh 2 to fix its problems, not just be a rehash with some more unnecessary features slapped on.
what does it need fixing? Just don't be a fucking retard. The game might simply not be made for you if the loot system seriously felt overwhelming to you.
He's probably a wanker thats expecting dark souls loot in every game and doesnt like variety
No. First game wasn't good.
I'm gonna play it because I love the setting but it will probably be a one and done for me because I don't like the loot aspect
what problems?
the only "problem" of nioh1 was that it wasn't bursting with different enemy types as much as souls, but Nioh2 introduces tons more so it pretty much fixes that
I am, the guardian spirit mode in the beta was so much fucking better than the one in 1, and I like the Yokai souls system too. Directional dodge jump in low stance spear was a fun addition too.
Overwhelming? I love hack'n'slash type of loot, but Nioh's sucked for a reason I don't remember now, it's been a while since last I played it.
>Are we hype?
No, we are boycotting Nioh until TN make a new Ninja Gaiden.
The level design kept getting worse as the game went on too
the loot system and the complete lack of balance it causes
What the fuck is wrong with this board?
Like is it seriously that hard to figure out how to use Nioh's looting?
I bet you seriously autistically went though the stats of each and every junk you picked up and then blamed the game design for being tedious
just fucking press the "select everything below rare" and sell them for xp+elixir
you can pick any equipment and reroll it's skills or soul match it's level at the blacksmith anyway, and the few not-rollable skills are really not that hard to keep in mind
all the gameplay videos seems like they upped combat pace a bit
Why? Everything after Ninja Gaiden II was garbage. Just let it die.
Nioh 1 brainlets are the worst. More numbers does not make the loot system better, more numbers not add real variety.
The fact you think it needs some kind of "figuring out" already shows you are dumb as hell. People just like to spend time actually playing the game instead of clearing out the inventory after every few missions, comparing numbers, hunting for the proper item attributes or spending time reforging shit like an autist.
I get the fucking loot dipshit, I just don't like it because NG+ runs either become a fucking damage sponge hell or you can fucking one hit kill the bosses there's no proper balance
For me personally, it is less that Nioh had a "bad" loot system and more that I think loot systems in general are bad design. I like to feel as if everything in a game has a purpose, that there's a reason a developer has items and enemies placed the way they are, that they have the set effects that they do for specific reasons, but in loot systems so much is left up in the air with regards to randomization that this feeling is lost. It doesn't help that it also feels rather trivial, in that you could spend time in the blacksmith forging and re-forging weapons to make them as efficient as possible (fine in that of itself) but as soon as you start the next level you start getting loot that immediately outclasses it, so it feels like all that time and effort was for naught.
I liked Nioh enough in spite of its loot system, mainly in its actual combat system and some of the additions they've shown do look promising. Knowing that they will unlikely change the loot aspect (though I would love if they did) the main changes I want to see are better level design and greater variety of enemies
>clearing out the inventory after every few missions, comparing numbers, hunting for the proper item attributes or spending time reforging shit like an autist.
but that's the thing you literal retard, you don't have to do any of this shit. Stop pretending that you actually understand how the system was meant to be used
it's literally 3 buttons to sell all your junk. You can just pick whatever weapon looks cool to you and make it viable quickly.
you are just too retarded to realize how easy and quick the looting system of Nioh is, so you waste your time doing tedious shit and then blame the game for your own stupidity
>shittalking a game because the fucking NG+ is not balanced enough for your liking
>dude it takes such a deep understanding to look through every fucking item out of the fucking two dozen or so that drops on every single goddamn mission and AFTER you've done that, it doesn't take long to sell the ones you don't want to keep
>but dude check this out, you can also just choose to not pick up potentially good items at all, just deliberately gimp yourself with shitty weapons and armor because the loot system is such a putrid shitstain... woah such deep figuring out going on right here
just neck yourself shill
loot balance becomes problem only in final 2 difficulty modes
don't bother mate
those retards have the attention span of a goldfish
nioh actually solved everything that made the diablo loot system shit, i.e. easy ways to turn inventory into other resources and eventual elimentation of randomness
not like the average player would even notice
either way, I will enjoy Nioh 2 a lot
sure, but how else is it going to be any more difficult?
many bosses already spam attacks so fast you have only very little windows to actually attack, so they can't up that any further
only thing they can do is increase damage
though you should be good enough to not get high if you get to the later difficulties
lol, are you having some problems with your reading comprehension?
>dude it takes such a deep understanding to look through every fucking item out of the fucking two dozen or so that drops
you can reroll the skills of any euqipment you absolute moron
You don't have to autistically go though the stats and skills of every weapon you pick up to check that one most min-maxed one. You can just pick any fucking weapon (preferably a rare) and just reroll it's skills to minmax it.
>but dude check this out, you can also just choose to not pick up
what a fucking retarded bullshit you are talking about again? Who said this shit?
iirc you can't reroll to anything you want, it involves some kind of random element. if you don't like what you get you have to keep rerolling again and again, and it also takes a fuckton of grinding doing those awfully repetitive daily missions where everything is colored red
and leveling up gear takes insane amounts of resources too, it's simply not sustainable
you know it's necessary to perfectly reroll everything
aside from cheesing stuff with immunity to projectiles or +1000giginiggazillion% dmg to something, it has very little effect
it took me about 250 hours to get to the point where I had the best possible equipment with exactly the right amount of stats and I did only very little grinding for resources
afterwards all that was left was take my perfect lvl +20ish items to level +130something until abyss floor 999
though I stopped at around +45, just too repetitive and no real use for any items anymore
the system really keeps you motivated for around 250 hours, so that's all good
>you know it's necessary to perfectly reroll everything
of course I meant it's NOT necessary
Souls faggots gtfo
>i want my weapon at the end of this hallway every time!!
Playing through 1 right now and so far I'm finding it better than the Dark Souls trilogy so yes, I'm hype
so to sum it up the loot system is good because instead of playing the game with the items you want, you can spend time
>picking up and individually checking hundreds of similar things until you finally get what you want
OR
>spending a lot of time reforging all your stuff until you finally get what you want
OR
>just settle for the first shitty item that rolls your way instead of what you actually want
Sounds fantastic, don't see why everyone except you dislikes this.
In every posible way except scenery
So you dislike it because it doesnt have mindless frenetic fights for 50 hours straight without intermission?
