The strongest attack is a summon with an animation that randomly lasts between 10 and 120 seconds.
tbf, sequence breaks aren't typically designed into the game unless it's part of a genre where that adds to the skill ceiling, like metroidvanias. If your game has 3D environments, you can count on people finding ways to get out of bounds and break things, and skip things like cutscenes as well. Also, in-game timers are often very inconsistent except for a handful of cases, which is why accurate external timers exist.
If you want to fuck over speedrunners, add random elements wherever possible.
Make it online only and auto kick/bans anyone who sequence breaks with constant event checks that slows down loading times

QTEs that pop up during slow cutscenes at random every time, and if they aren’t passed the cutscene gets repeated

Multiple waiting segments
>minute long cutscenes that can be skipped part way through but the skip time is semi-random and marked by when character says something
Actual speedrunner shenanigan counters:
>going out of bounds or out of the play area in any way crashes the game (fucks glitch fags)
>sequence breaking also crashes the game (more fucking of glitchfags)
>movement speed of player capped to the fastest they can legitimately go (no BLJ-style movement exploits for you)
>loading of new areas is tied to boss death, puzzle completion etc, being in unloaded areas counts as out of bounds and crashes games (no boss/door/puzzle skips)
Timewasters/padders:
>loading times are arbitrary, and not tied to actual loading
>all enemy placement is random
>all puzzles are random
>bosses all have phases with lengthy transitions
>all levels have required backtracking and detours
>all cutscenes and demos unskippable
>all menus require a separate load screen
>all deaths send you to beginning of level
bonesaw cameo
>fastest path in game involves listening to mid boss's long homophobic and racist diatribe that is unmutable due to puzzle requireing audio cues
>also has lots of nazi iconography mixed with paraodies of popular brands in the level
>implying any of this will stop the speedrunning community from "running" a game
