is gaming an expansive hobby for you?

for a pc
You could probably be smart about building it and shave at least a couple hundred bucks off the price and still have a better machine than consoles
I have a job, so no it is not.
>$60 for each new game
Can't help bad taste.
Cheaper than a decent car.
>80000 BMW M3 Competition Pack
Cheaper than decent house
>500000 for detached property with 4 bedrooms and quarter acre of land
Cheaper than flying your own plane
>13000000 for private jet
Pretty cheap, really.
Not really. Travelling is much more expensive and you only get to enjoy it for a few weeks most of the time.
>$1000 PC
>old ps3 controller
>$20 bluetooth dongle
>buy games I like if they're $40 or under in dollarydoos
>steal games over $40 (AAA games tend to be 60-80-100)
>3-5 years of gaming per PC with 3-5 games per year plus countless pirated games
>$1320-1520 for around or just under half a decade
Yeah I'm thinking it's cheap
>got some money for new pc parts, so I can finally step into 21st century
>or I can just buy PS4/PS5, cause I desperatly want to play Persona 5
what should I do?
>2000$ for a PC
>700$ for a monitor in a few weeks after sales start
>100$ for a controller because jews
>0$ for DRM boxes
>Free torrent client
>buying shitty platform to play ONE game
>a few hundred bucks for ONE fucking game
p5 is okay-ish. You'll stop caring once you finish. Get it on ps3 for cheap
for each new game
>implying I buy a 60 dollar game more than once a year
L O L
spending more the 15$ on a game
for private jet
Nice hyperbole, you can make do with a DA62 for 950 000 just fine.
Probably a PS4 Pro. Even for multiplats. I like it because it has a very simple interface. Just switch it on, and you can more or less play your game within a minute. Updates are quite rare and relatively quick. It doesn't make too much noise. The controller's very good. Had mine for 3 years and not had an issue. The exclusives are largely shit, though. Persona, Gravity Rush and Yakuza are all worth it. Bloodborne is massively overrated. God of War and Horizon are mediocre.
There's nothing good for 15 dollarydoos. American's have games cheaper. Double the price and you'll understand how it is for us. It's not even our currency. We get fucked for all software.
I also buy most of those off GOG which means they could have been REALLY easily stolen. I bet that stings. I unironically like supporting good games. I'm not going to whale but if it's less than $40 and I actually enjoy it I'll kick in.
P5 is also on the ps3. The ps3 is dirt cheap now (especially used) and has quite a few other exclusive jrpgs.
The ps5 will be backward compat, so I'd just buy the oc parts inwant and wait for a ps5 price drop.
>2+ grand for a new synthesizer
>easily drop $150+ in a single afternoon shooting trap or sporting clays
>Sky's the limit when sinking money into cars
vs
>Drop $2000 on a new PC every 4-5 years, and then only buy like 3 games a year
Playing video games is probably the cheapest thing i do for entertainment.
My PS4 Pro isn't at all faster than my SATA SSD PC to get into a game.
It's perfectly doable unless you're poor and still pushed out 4 kids
Being a reasonable degree of idort you only need to buy one console every two years at the absolute most.
I have a PC, Switch and PS4, the latter two from their launch, and felt no need to get the PS4 Pro or Switch Lite so I haven't bought a console since the Switch released and probably won't again until PS5 releases.
This.
>card games are 15-20 a session
>shooting can be 100+ if you make a day of it
>fishing is pretty cheap desu
>kino is usually $40
I wouldn't call cars a hobby driving is fun but even if you drive a shit box cars will suck the money out of your wallet.
Is the ps5 really confirmed backwards compatible, because mine is just collecting dust for the foreseeable future and I can easily resell it by itself for $150 atm.
I know non of the gamestore around will be willing to give a trade in deal like that once ps5 drops.
No, I loathe pretty much every modern game.
I got an i5 4690k and 970 from my little brother and I just play old shit so figure out.
I pirate and dumpster dive, so only cost is internet, though a 750ti isn't really cutting it anymore, and no one toss good graphics cards, so I may be forced to buy one.
its the cheapest hobby if youre not a retarded buyfag
just pirate
