nothing

They gave players choice and developed systems that allowed for emergent gameplay. It means that situations are always interesting and rewarding to tackle. Especially when you concoct a plan that goes well.

>Big Typhon getting in my way.
>Can't sneak past him. Pushes my shit in when I fight.
>Set up some Turrets in a side room.
>Throw a random mug in there to draw it in.
>Lock it inside while the turrets do their work.

>Bunch of little mimics running around being a pain in the ass.
>Use the gloo gun to gradually pen them in.
>Fuck them all with a single grenade.

>Running away from another Typhon
>See a bunch of boxes and a canister
>Put the canister by the doorway and use the boxes to hide.
>Blow him the fuck up when he comes through the door.

Arkane

Besides this and deus ex, what other modern games like this exist? I've gotten really picky about games lately but this immersed me instantly.

Is there an ability that makes you switch weapons faster later on?

Also, is there any reason to unlock leverage 2&3 since I can just throw lev1-objects into anything bigger and move it that way?

>smash floor/window just because I'm bored
>every time I walk over it I fall down
>end up having to put an object there to warn me

This is the kind of emergentism that makes my dick hard.

yeah leverage lets you pick up big objects that block certain areas off. or you could just throw a recycle grenade thing but thats always risky as you might recycle a corpse or something that is more useful

Set on a space station

There's an upcoming System Shock 1 remake and also a new sequel as well for some reason

I want to say other Arkane games but I didn't play them yet. I don't think there are any.

Alex Yu

we have a thread about Prey being actually good like every day

I just started playing this. What am I in for?

there are two objects in the game that can't be glitched through using smaller objects. By the way, Lev-1 also isn't necessary, since there are plenty of Lev-0 objects that can push anything just as easily.

The only two objects that can't be glitched, can be removed with a recycler grenade, so the only reason to buy Leverage is if you want to be fair to the game.

Nothing. It's a shit game with no redeeming factors.

I didn't like Dishonored at all. That whole setting just puts me to sleep.

Comfy exploration, fun systems, and immersive setting.

Did nothing wrong tier
Morgan doesn't deserve him.

I chose to do a restrictive, no typhon neuromod run for my first playthrough of the game and still had a great time. The time slow power is absolutely busted though, especially with an upgraded shotgun. It just melts everything.

Prioritise getting the recycler efficiency neuromod and the typhon extracter neuromod first and recycle EVERYTHING.
And break the game with your infinite neuromods

Fucking wrong. He kept Morgan in the simulation way longer than agreed and didn't even help you survive despite having the resources. I blew up the station instead of using his idea out of spite.

I did the same, because the game seemed to imply I would get a bad ending for using them. It wasn't that bad once you actually picked up momentum, and became quite easy by the end.

everything but the ending

the ost is some of the most atmospheric music I've heard in games.

>play entire game in a certain way
>get one throwaway line of dialogue from one robot
Goddammit don't remind me

Also remember, don't be a retard like me and forget to use your recycler charges when you see heavy objects blocking your path.
Just throw and watch everything clear away.

man that one sound effect that plays a few times in the game is fantastic. it happens once when you blast yourself into space in the data vault box thing. sounds kind of like bones rattling but not exactly. i love it

prey needs the fo76 treatment.

Imagine a vault 94 style raid on a space station with mooncrash like RNG
That would be so fucking cool

Isn't there already a multiplayer mode in Prey that's pretty bad?
I think they had to switch to Unreal Engine for it.

>Isn't there already a multiplayer mode in Prey that's pretty bad?
yes typhoon hunter is extremely shoddy work. What I mean is multiplayer mooncrash that requires lots of teamwork and voice chat, like the fo76 vault raids.
