How's your gaming Youtube channel going Yea Forums?

Not gonna lie, I don't think I'm gonna make it.

Almost have 500 subs although sub rate has slowed.

I still enjoy it. I mostly do no commentary stuff.

Not to be a dick, but what's the point of posting stuff like this? Are you actually passionate about recording raw footage and dumping it on YT or are you hoping to just earn some extra cash?

I enjoy playing games firstly else I would of given up ages ago.
I'm starting to dabble in a few analysis videos as I'm a former data analysis.

As for income, I don't think it will ever make me much money because it's not a type of channel to attract flocks of people.
If I get to 1000 subs then I'll probably monetise the videos.

So you also post reviews then? Don't you think you should separate the no commentary videos and the analysis videos into separate channels? If i like your analysis videos I doubt I'd subscribe cuz i dont want to be bombarded by endless videos I'm not interested in.
Post one of your analysis videos btw; I'm curious.

are people doing this solo without any feedback? do people slog away making years worth of videos with like 5 subs?
How come there isnt a group of sorts thats has a bunch of dedicated people willing to crack the youtube code/algorithm?

Mostly because my uploads are sporadic and I have a full time job so splitting the channel up would make each channel very small.

I should mention the analysis videos are game related though.
youtu.be/U_8uwMhrjbs

There are communities for small channels like newtubers on reddit but that place is a total shithole. All the threads boil down to people bitching and moaning about how they "deserve" success/views and how "the system is rigged" or whatever.

Oh I thought u meant analysis like hat joseph anderson makes. Nvm this fits with your channel.

i guess smart people dont hang out anywhere and just do what they know will bring them in, and keep silent about it.

I did it solo was getting one sub a month for the first year

Honestly, when you're just starting out it's actually a pretty okay place. For the first 3 months of me making videos I practically never got any comments. Posting my stuff in those types of sites were a nice way of actually getting people to tell you what they liked/didnt like about the video. Most of the advice they give is fucking terrible but that's besides the point; you're atleast able to see the results of your labor so to speak.

honestly, if you cant figure out what youre doing wrong if you get 1 sub a year i dont think anyone can save you

It's 2019 moron twitch and youtube are oversaturated beyond belief. Wait for another avenue to present itself

I've been bleeding subs for the last month; turns out that not posting any videos for almost 4 months is bad for growth. Hoping to get a new video out next week though. Been doing this for almost 3 years and i barely have 2k subs, but
I really hope this is the one that puts me on the map. Wish me luck anons.

What kind of videos do you make

Oh man please plug your great channel more im sure your subs are gonna skyrocket

Most of my channel has revolved around making reviews on tv episodes but I'm starting to transition into gaming reviews now. I made a one-off video on an obscure game I loved and its still consistently getting views so doing gaming stuff seems to be a good idea. Plus, I really dont find joy in making the videos I used to make.

Pretty great. Here, check it out. Hell, maybe you've seen it. youtu.be/YtPsTieXSfI

>making reviews on tv episodes
imo just focus on gaming reviews, and even movies. no one really cares about tv episodes

Attached: 1529590600162.jpg (301x490, 26K)

Pretty much; especially because by the time I finish my video on an episode everybody and their mother has already moved on to the next thing.

I made a single video tutorial for a fighting game no-one plays for a meme tournament at a gaming event

I really enjoyed making the video, but that's about it.

I never intend to make it.

youtube.com/watch?v=odAp39eKsOI

I mostly make stuff that either upset people or advertisers.

youtube.com/watch?v=dJWA7KwKTVs

I have 120 videos and most are unlisted or private.

I want to launch a channel later this month. I'm pretty nervous.

I already made one for you

Stop trying to be a YouTuber, it's honestly quite pathetic if you ask me.

What the fuck is going on this Doom video?

Used to be an SEO guy. I'll help a little. Also do other social media. Yes those discord and shit are unbearable and want you to kill yourself but suck it up until you get bigger. Suck up to relatively bigger than you youtubers and/or join their discord. Play with them. Also..

People kept saying you can turn off glory kills but the most annoying aspect of it is a core mechanic and can't be turned off.

People also kept saying you only have to shot them once or twice while in staggered state to kill them.

My video proves that they regenerate health at an annoyingly high rate so even low-tier monsters can keep on regenerating forever unless you double kill them. (since the HP needed to kill them in this state is not that far off from the damage needed to put them in this state).

Good, I sort of have some kind of "deal" with a dev, its helping me grow (slowly) but holy shit that I hate fucking reddit.
Worst part is that unless you are some kind of big name or get super lucky with a meme vid you need reddit.

>post video
>bunch of likes
>lots of comments saying "nice content buddy" "amazing bro" "subbed"
>cool... I guess
>get one (1) dislike
>mfw
How do I stop being such a pussy?

Attached: a3476.gif (540x240, 2.3M)

Almost a thousand subs, just need 70.
youtube.com/c/SomeGuy234

I am here, still alive somehow, still making vidya/YTP stuff, but all this effort feels like it boiled up to nothing much, I guess I have made a bit of a name now, specially here.
That isn't good nor bad, just entretaining to see.

Attached: 1374633604108.jpg (243x280, 7K)

I have a friend who has a youtube channel with amazing growth, 100 subscribers per week with almost no advertsiment anywhere and he still gets upset by dislikes. I am going to tell you what I told him: Stop being a little pussy, you are getting a shitload of people that enjoy your content, who cares if some guy or another didn't like the video?

Attached: 1400728313897.jpg (625x604, 163K)

Also if your channel has almost no growth then the algo will penalize it. It's just up to luck to climb that hill.

That's awful, I knew something was up with GKs

why do these threads die so fast?

There used to be a mod that disabled the script and fully remove glory kills while keeping the function to interact with those fleshy blobs that spawns demons, but it also meant you ran out of ammo because the game itself relied on vid related.

Attached: DOOM1 2016.webm (640x480, 2.86M)

Decent. After seeing my friend gain 200k subs in 7 months off of vlogs I realized that subs mean fucking nothing and that I can either make the videos I like to make or become a whore so I decided to stick to making the videos I like.

>Was friends with youtubers who are big in my country
>They boosted me and I have a 20k subscriber channel with 10 videos
>Realized I fucking hate the YouTubeenvironment
>Spent 2 years away
>Tried a few twitch streams
>Had less than 50 people watching
>disencouraged from that too
This is why engagement is important bros.

Fuck off Arlo you faggot stop making these shitty threads to shill your puppet contrarian garbage you furry gimp.

I now do art stuff which I like better, but less than 1k people watch my videos and my livestreams get maybe 20 people, but I actually enjoy it.

Not a gaming channel but I’m actually learning html and css at the same time and working on a gaming website as a result.
It’ll have news but mainly opinion pieces. Working on my first piece about paid online being an outdated scam right now.
I also want to have a creators page for youtubers I like to upload and get paid by me a percentage of the traffic they bring in based on the views on said videos.

It’s bathhouse themed and will have vidya girls (and guys) bathing on the sides. Clicking on them will lead to random videos.

why are anglos like this?

Remember when Youtube was a site for posting dumb movies for people to enjoy instead of being a daily job for lazy millennials?
Good times

I always wanted to make YouTube videos, but can’t get any real friends or family to help me out with recording.

You had the biggest leg up possible though.
How do you make friends with big youtubers?

Yeah and I prefer the ton of useful videos it has now. It's not just gayming videos at all and you can learn a lot from youtube, it's ridiculous.
Now Twitch however need to fucking burn

Getting a 21:9 monitor in the mail soon and started looking around for games that natively support it, and while I've found a bunch of videos and even a dedicated channel for it I found nothing for the few Japanese games that do support it, so once it arrives I've been thinking of recording 21:9 footage of Japanese games that do support it, showing everything that can possibly break or revert to 16:9 pillarboxing (like menus, cutscenes and such) and post it there.
Maybe I'll use that footage to make a chart for Yea Forums as well.
Would anyone be interested in this? Does anyone have any tips for making charts in a timely manner, like properly aligning text and pictures a dozen times?

One of them liked my artwork so I did some work for him and we talked a lot. Then a bunch of his friends wanted stuff too and a lot of them live in my city so we started hanging out.

www.wsgf.org and PCgaming wiki already do this, I think.

Actually very interested. Gonna get a 21:9 monitor too eventually but I'm worried about game support (the monitor is mostly for work but still)
>a dedicated channel for it has for the few Japanese games that do support it
Fucking normalfags

You know if you have 50 viewers in most things on twitch you're already really high up the page once people have streams filtered to their language right?

the fuck is that image

Imagine having a youtube channel dedicated to game reviews in 2019

Not quite, while I'm using it to save a few names on a spreadsheet, wsgf shows which games support it, if it's native or needs a ini edit, patch or whatever, the kind of widescreen and FOV it uses and if there is any HUD stretch but as for footage it will have like, one screenshot for every screen ratio, in the same place.

Here is what I've found so far.

>disturbing zone

Attached: 1544247077516.png (190x184, 45K)

Nice
Not sure if it's worth doing a channel about that alone though, maybe you'll have to talk about other things somewhat related like FOVs testing or more general graphic stuff

I stopped making gaming videos as soon as I started. Not worth shifting though thousands of mediore gaming channels to find one good one that you will be bored over next week. I just shitpost videos. Ones that take next to no effort. Same comedic timing in 1/10th of the effort. youtube.com/watch?v=2ABdmJP-GTE

I'm gonna copy Sseth's format and make it big

Attached: 1568259810492.png (800x1068, 397K)

I never said I would make a dedicated channel for it though, I said I found a dedicated channel for showcasing 16:9 gameplay that doesn't seem to cover japanese games.
But FOV is definitely one of the reasons I decided to go for a video, you can't really see how much that can deform shit in screenshots. What do you mean general graphic stuff? I only plan to cover native support first, so any issues like occluder pop-in shouldn't happen.

>Sseth's format
It belonged to DemoD before him

what "format"?

>I mostly do no commentary stuff.
Which is why you will never make it. Streaming is not an anti social man's game

reviewing older/obscure shit and putting in funny spastic editing along with a deep voice narrating

I'm Let's Playing the Witcher games

Nothing groundbreaking but I'm having fun doing it
