No I keep my new one in a travel case (a used bible case actually) and my old one in the original dust cover/packaging it came in.
That's a 2Ds
nah.. I still have to play Radiant Histora and Etrian Odyssey Nexus .. but after these (finished all other Atlus gems on the system) it will collect dust
Hope Atlus (or lets say SEGA) gets their shit together and releases their stuff on PC, otherwise I will need to buy a freaking switch at one point
I broke it
Which, in a way, is ultimate negligence
i wouldn't if the new pokemon games werent FUCKING SHIT
daily animal crossing just to give my girlfriend gifts and spend time with her
cute
just play soulsilver user theres enough daily content to keep you busy
I am
They stopped making pokémon games for it so there's no point anymore
i just bought SMT SJ, so im using it again atleast for the time being
It deserves to be neglected. Anyone who thought 400 x 240 pixels was enough even back then was delusional.
I just bought a 2DS actually. Still needs an SD card but when i do im going to buy some of those GB games. I dont know which of these two to get?
I wish the hinges on that thing were better. I have the exact same one and the top screen is so wobbly it's annoying.
Same here. Why do girls love AC though? My gf only plays AC on her 3ds and she has put thousands of hours on it already.
I bought this thing for Samus Returns and haven't used it since. I spent roughly $200 on a Metroid game.
Yeah mine it's just hanged the towel months ago. Have no reason to use it anymore, maybe in the future when i want to revisit some games. But the Switch has my full attention currently.
Marketing major here;
Cute character designs, Low Commitment, customization (notably fashion and houses), and a whole shitload of things to collect.
Hits all the right niches of girl-marketed games without actually being marketed to girls so it isnt patronizing
I have a 3ds yet I play MHXX on an emulator.
These japs can't be human if a 3DS can get through QA.
Yeah I modded mine back in 2016, Still use it for shit now.
I literally played it this morning. I have that very same DS, too.
There is a rocket slime 3ds translation
I still play it almost daily. Been using up my game time on MH3U. About 15 hours in. After playing MH4U for around 100 hours, decided to try 3 and it's unsurprisingly almost the same and very fun.
Picked it up yesterday and replayed Kid icarus on a whim. What a fucking masterpiece that game is. Though my back and wrist hurts when I play it.
>Got a Switch for birthday back in June
>Played a few games on it like U Deluxe and Mario Kart
>Haven't play it since
I'll go back to it once Sword and Shield hit, but for the moment I've since got a number of 3DS games to get through.
why not just hack it then? or it is patched model?
How do you interact with the second screen on emulator?
No, I still play SJR and both MH4U and MHXX daily
>favorite color is purple
>only color options for a New 2DS XL at the time was the blue/black and orange/white
>bide my time to get orange/white colors, but they were not there at the time I was at the store
>settle with blue/black
>next time i'm at store, they had a poke ball edition stocked
>just found out a few days ago that there is now a purple new 3DS xl
It's like looking at a child that I never wanted
changing plate was easy as hell, why not do it yourself in the beginning
>neglect all the Honebrew developments for a couple of years
>come back to it
>Symphony of the Night playable at 60fps
>Virtual Console Neo-Geo injection
>Half Life 1 playable as a Honebrew app
If people stopped messing about porting shitty emulators, we'd be years ahead.
i dont trust myself enough to do it without bricking my system. also i dont want to spend any more money on my 3DS
i keep it clean but i don't play it anymore. lost all motivation to complete my living dex once swsh got announced and i only have like 3 non pokemon games for it
I don't need a 3ds for that, my ds lite is enough
How difficult is it to get that setup?
I saw the threads but I was always too scared of fucking up and bricking it.
yeah i get it about the money part, but changing the plate is just literally the plastic plate outside. you won't brick anything
I’ve been playing pic related and Pocket Card Jockey
>bricking my system
You don't even need to turn it on to change plates, just unscrew them.
You're biggest concern should be finding someplace that sells plates for a reasonable price. Where I live I can't buy anything unless I'm shipping internationally.
>setup
Honestly, you'd have to actively go out of your way to fuck up to brick your system. I made about a dozen mistakes when first homebrewing and was fine, and that was back when the guides assumed you knew what you were doing.
Guides to homebrew now literally spoonfeed you step by step, so it's much easier.
Once you've done that, I use the PC FBI Server to wirelessly send stuff over to my N3DSXL with FBI, which does all the complicated stuff for you.
The community is pretty helpful in most cases. If you need more support, /hbg/ on /vg/ are generally helpful, so long as your question isn't solved in the top 1p Google search results.
Nah I still use it, it runs out of battery in 5 minutes when it's not plugged in so it's probably not going to last much longer
Honestly if you know what you're buying if for (MonHun, SMT, some other weebshit etc.) and you're fine with its shitty little mid 2000s nokia phone tier screen then there's literally no better purchase.
>rich as fuck library
>braindead easy piracy
>a bunch of useful homebrew shit
>all that for a hundred something bucks depending on your place of residence
How2play sotn on my 3ds
I am tho
Amazon sells replacement kits with new batteries and a screwdriver for like $10 plus shipping.
>useful stuff
It's embarrassing that the homebrew themes you can get (for free) are infinitly better than the paid Nintendo ones.
It's super cheap too.
Nope, i've been playing Dragon Quest 8 on mine for the last two weeks, it's fantastic
>own a New 3ds model
>download and install retroarch cia
>install the PCSX ReARMed core cia
>download PS1 BIOS, place in PCSX system folder in core/system
>download and place a compressed .pbp copy of SotN in your downloads folder on your 3ds sd card
>fuck around with the emulator settings
>decide whether you want 30-60fps with inconsistent audio sounds, or 50-60fps with no music
It can be emulated fairly decently. Although if you want it perfect, you'll need to do it on a PSP/Vita.
i still love it like the first day.
fuck switch
Nope, bought r4 gold to enjoy gems like hotel dusk 215 etc. Im having a blast.3ds library sucks ass most of the time
Neglect it? Never even had it.
Taking a break from my 3ds to play stuff on my PS4 trying to get all the endings in Devil survivor overclocked
>playing Pokémon
>Low Commitment
I stop playing exactly because I was expected to play regularly.
>buying a 3ds for anything other than pokemon
there's like 6 games in total worth playing on it that aren't pokemon
I was meaning to play mine this week but because i thew it at the bottom of my bag and forgot about it during the week, it hadn't been turning on.
Pic related getting a HD release reminded me that I need to finish this. I only wish this game's mechanics weren't so obscure at times.
Or maybe I'm just a brainlet
>what is smt?
>what is fire emblem?
>what is monster hunter?
>what is etrian odyssey?
Pokémon rots the brain
wow look at that, 4 games which is surprisingly less than 6
Can a psp/vita run a PS2 emulator? Im looking to play the legend of Spyro trilogy
Just like 3DS only has one Pokemon game, right?
I guess it does because only Super Mystery Dungeon is worth playing.
Bought a nice case for it where all my carts and accessories go. It's essentially a coffin, but I'm sure I'll get another urge to playthrough FE Awakening again soon.
>”what is a series”
>PS2 emulator
Not a chance, I'm afraid. PS1 it does nicely but not PS2.
The Spyro trilogy is available as an official Vita port anyway.
I play my 3DS daily for Nintendo Badge Arcade. I would play it more if I didn't just update my graphics card and buy a Switch.
My 3DS is just so bloated that the home menu lags, anytime I open it from sleep mode it takes like 20 seconds to populate my home screen icons. It really shows that Nintendo never anticipated anyone buying more than a dozen games.
When I get bored of my PC and Switch, I'll have Luigi's Mansion to finally play.
Also holy fuck does Badge Arcade have a bunch of issues and contributes to the 3DS's terrible bloat issue.
Do you put all your stuff in folders on your homepage?
I'm at the 300 cap and have no trouble with lag at all. Everything is divided into about 12 folders.
Yes. I have my home menu on a 3x5 grid so it fits on one screen. Full games in one folder, eshop titles in the second, virtual console in a third, demos and videos in a fourth. Still takes a moment for the icons to populate.
Interesting. I don't have any demos or videos, but I doubt that's it. 3ds updates are generally inconsistent between regions though so it might be that.
I'm playing strange journey redux, the new story stuff is retarded and the art is hideous but other than that I'm enjoying it.
I have a shitload of games I should play on mine but cannot due to exams and planning.
>playing the gacha arcade
>when you can just import and .png as a custom badge
Why
No, because I'm still playing it. I overlooked tons of games back then, so it feels good being able to play them while waiting to save money to upgrade my PC.
Name me a 3DS game that I should play anons. I've been just playing DS shit on mine lately.
Noitu Love 2
Another World
Inazuma Eleven Chrono Stones
Figures nincels would cover up the little shit that becomes incredibly annoying like the nipple being absolute shit or the touch-screen needling to be smashed with autistic toddler fingering for it to respond well consistently.
This user knows what's up.
I honestly haven't touched these things in months. What a shame.
>Have CFW and TwilightMenu
>SD card corrupted
>Lost my Pokemon White 2 save
Literally do not want to go through the effort again
Yeah, i lost my security job so i can't sit around playing it all day anymore.
>the new story stuff is retarded and the art is hideous but other than that I'm enjoying it.
I'm playing Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology right now and thought the exact same thing
poor haruka!
Everyone is basically the same except eruca
The fucking job of my dreams.
been traveling a lot for work lately so I'm playing with my Pikachu 2ds a lot, especially dragonball fusions and theathrythm
I play anywhere and I often get stares of curiosity, especially by children, but I don't really mind. also you'd be surprised how many girls approach me just to say how cute the Pikachu thing is
that said, I'm an actor and pretty good looking, I don't think it'd be the same if I was some greasy neckbeard with a Nintendo switch
I hate what they did with Heiss. I really loved his old grimy spymaster look.
They also made Rosch look younger and less battle-hardened which wasn't as good
Was the game that much of a departure?
this shit is real
The game is mostly the same as the original, but has some really greedy monetization (exp and money rates are reduced to try and sell DLC, original character art is also DLC, beach episode DLC is $5) but wasn't covered much when it hit the States because of being on the 3DS (which was being overshadowed by the Switch launch) while Atlus was heavily promoting Persona 5's then-impending release
>shota-bait
Nah I'm good
Does living in a fictional universe in your mind have any lasting effects on your health?
Yeah I play Tomodatchi Life on the daily.
I’ve played through the ds gen games so fucking much I can’t enjoy them anymore
Get New Leaf
That's a cool plate I've never seen. Where's it from?
I've bought one recently. Only nintendo device I ever owned before was NDS 10 years ago so I have like 30 years of games to keep me occupied.
Stripped 2 screws on the case when going to reseat the wifi chip. I haven't been able to use my 3ds in like a 2 years because of it.
Nope, have been using it more than my switch these days. Finished Chrono Trigger a while back and am playing TWEWY atm, fantastic game.
what do you mean daily content?
if anything, your answer tells me you're the one not living in reality. what, because I have a shitty job as an actor and I was born with a pretty face I must be lying? because anyone has a life a little different than yours it must be fantasy? grow up and start evaluating your life, cause if my life seems unlikely to you, i can't dream how dull and dead ended yours must be
What is it about the homebrew scene that makes it so fucking comfy?
There's just something inherently endearing about people who carve out a piece of hostile hardware to call their own.
wild world is unironically better but new leaf will probably suit you more if you're new to the series
I was going to hack it, but my laptop doesn't have an sd card slot so it's just sitting out with its cover open.
Not at all
Is this something I should worry about or insignificant QC issue?
Do you guys think it's worth to buy a newer 3ds if I have a shitty launch old 3ds
If you're working with a new 3DS, the data management thing actually works well.
Nah, Wild World is easier since you don't have to micromanage the town on top of collecting and paying for stuff. It's a more relaxing game.
I actually am. Haven't played anything in probably a year. Already replaced the battery once.
forgot pic. should I pull the plug on it forever?
you get better performance and shit so why not
Anyone got the mega pack? Been thinking to start hoarding the cias.
I hacked it, got a flash cart and am playing all the DS & GBA games that I couldn't afford when I was a kid.
The DS ones are usually entirely touch screen based which is annoying, but I can take a break from them to play Wario Land 4 or FF6. Pretty relaxing.
Anyone?
I traded it and my ds lite with all my pokemon games to gamestop for $150 then spent it all on workout equipment
Gotta send mine to Nintendo to get the top screen fixed.
Gotta cover my tracks by switching the SD card out with a blank one
I bought every game worth having for the 3DS and enjoyed a ton of them. Haven't had much drive to keep playing them though. I kinda want an original 2DS to serve as my DS replacement for when that DSi finally goes out.
Is the N3DS better than the XL? I see that one on Yea Forums most often.
Hahahaha. More like
>I play my toy in public
>I get fond looks for children
>women approach me for playing a 3ds
>and I'm good looking
What kind of shallow retard has to boast about this shit on an anonymous message board? Oh wait, its (You).
Any good strategy games on the 3DS I should try? DS too I guess. No Fire Emblem, already tried the ones on the system.
Are you kidding...? I love my Dragon Quest machine!
Should I pull the trigger on a 140€ N3DS XL? I heard they are all TN while old 3DS XLs (which I have right now) have an IPS top screen.
I sure am, and I have like 15+ games on it I have yet to play, same with my vita. I have a problem, pls send help.
I did and I was happy with the decision. The N3DSXLs are built a lot nicer and sturdier than the other models. It's also the only one I find that is somewhat comfortable in an adults hands.
While there's like two games that benefit from the New processor, you do get far more options when it comes to emulation - especially since you need it to play SNES titles.
I rarely use it but I do like having 3D as an option and I don't see a reason not to when there's very little price difference.
My what
I need to find the charger for mine so I can finish alot of SNES games and JRPGs I have installed in it. On the final world of DKC3.
I'm using the Citra emulator
ghost recon was kinda okay. there's a bunch of weeb ones of varying quality
>got M&L:BIS+BJJ for $8
>the original is one of my favorite RPGs
>remake feels piss easy in comparison
Did they make it easier, or did I get better?
Also is the Jr. part of the game worth playing?
Weeb me up nigga. Give me any suggestions you got.
its not really my genre, so i can't really vouch for most of them... luminous arc, lord of magna, SMT devil survivor remakes, stella glow.
there's also the project X zone games, but their strength is more in character interactions than gameplay
It's been relegated to "being played when I have to do a shit but don't have my phone on me" tier, which even I'm pissed at myself for since I really like the system but would honestly do anything else with my time.
Recently downloaded Gabrielle's Ghostly Groove from a recommendation from an user in another thread today, and Bravely Default since after all these years I might as well play it. Although, I've been going through Luigi's Mansion 2 when I have time, not being able to save mid mission gives me pins and needles.
Anyone?
Haven't played it so I can't tell you but I've revisited games I played as a kid that I thought were hard and suddenly they were easy so you probably got better.
