Will there be ANY reason to emulate ever again?
Will there be ANY reason to emulate ever again?
when these get inevitably pulled from their servers
Do you lose access to the games when you stop paying for the online service?
Is it the full library? And also with fan translation of games that didn't make it to English?
Why would I pay for something I can get for free? Dumbass pay pigs.
higan shits all over nintendo switch online's emulation
bsnes hd improves graphics
rom hacks
entire library
4 irrefutable reasons
Yeah. There are countless games that won't be on that service that people will still wanna play. Not through Nintendo's fault but licensing and shit.
You know this shit only has like, a 1/700th the games that the SNES had right
Same with the NES games, and that shit's padded with premade save states.
Admittedly, it's slightly nicer than them asking for another $5.99 for games people already paid for again, and they don't do the PS+ thinh where to get you to KEEP paying for the service by dangling never having a game as part of your "collection" in your face.
Hell, even what you said doesn't really make sense, because this is just emulation.
Yup
netplay has been so easy with every emulator for the last 5 years that the benefit this has is really only a benefit for the slowest of the slow on the uptake.
Then why stop emulating?
You shouldn't. Fuck Nintendo for not bringing back the VC and instead replacing it with a paid subscription.
To add another emulator rec
Retroarch is finally coming out with a user friendly edition called Ludo, where cores are pre-installed with usable defaults
Accuracy, more options, less input lag, lots of reasons.
What if I'm at the mall or school with no internet access and want to play?
So I can play a few of the hundreds of other games that will never be available.
Aren't there only two or three new games compared to what was available on the Wii, 3DS, and Wii U?
>Games not on the service
>Games on other consoles
>Service gets shut down with the next console
>Rom hacks
>Randomizers
>Not wanting to pay for multiplayer on principle.
There's a good half dozen reasons
>Use the free trial
>Trial runs out and doesn't let me save.
>Have to pay for online or lose hours of progress.
Oh shit, finally.
Can't wait to be able to inject roms, the emulation is really good and the CRT filter, while not as good as sonic mania's is decent. It's a good enough solution for snes emulation while waiting for higan to be ported.
They're only going to add like 10 games total in the entire lifespan of this thing
game saves stay stored in the console regardless of whether the application is deleted or not.
The issue is that I didn't save or save state for a couple hours. So if I close the application I will lose that progress.
Getting a specific game that is not on the VC yet?
