I don't think PS5 will have backwards compatibility with anything other than PS4. The PS4 itself was meant to be a clean slate after the shitshow that was the PS3. PS4 BC is already a pretty good incentive to make people stay within the Sony ecosystem instead of switching to Xbox or Stadia. And the few worthwile games left on PS1/PS2/PS3 will get remakes or something like SotC got last year.

Both microsoft and sony confirmed back in 2013 that consoles will be running a x86 architecture and won't be having the same issues last gen did and current gen on will be bc with each other. That's why we had a mid gen console buff, sony even stated all games the first 2 years of ps5 release will be usable on ps4 as well untill ps4 is finally dropped support.
