Pls spoon-feed me how

1. download Dolphin emu
2. download TS2 rom from Vimm's Lair
3. preferably hook up wireless controller or play with mouse if you want to rape everything in story mode
4. run dolphin, configure graphics for dx12 and 8x resolution if your shitty rig can handle it
5. load rom, play
enjoy

Thank you very much sir

>Timesplitters 2
shit game

>60+ fps
Is there a fps hack or something? I've played Melee/PM and Sunshine at 120 fps before.

I'm just lazy to jump through all those hoops and threw the disc in my wii

>timesplitters 2
>not future perfect
idk about that, chief

>TSFP
>half as many time periods
>shoehorned mechanics lifted from mid-2000s shooters like Halo and Half-life
>no more objectives that change with difficulty
>character abilities don't work
>slower pace
>less challenges and arcade leagues
>less maps and shittier maps
I could write a thesis paper about how much FP fucked up. Still a great game, but it's not better than TS2.

Hope you're enjoying the game user. Now go watch the world record run of Siberia on hard to make your penis fully erect at the possibilities awaiting you.
With a good rig no hacks needed, game ran at 60fps on consoles, but you can uncap FR if you really want to.

Okay, why is it shit, and what's a better shooter?

Is multiplayer intact?

Yes, it emulates 99.9% perfectly. No fucked up textures, corrupted shit, slowdown, none of that. It's like playing it on the real console but with HD graphics, and it looks fucking beautiful. If you want to play LAN you'll need to emulate the PS2 version, though.

lol dude TSFP blows

Trying to play multiplayer and the game goes at 1 fps, reee

either is comp is shit or you didn't configure dolphin right then. what are your graphic settings?

I7 and 1080ti, was with everything at Max, now I'm trying to run at native and it still won't work. Menus are silky smooth but once it gets to gameplay it refuses to get going

yes but are you using dx12 or what? play around with the settings. I have literally the same setup and the game doesn't chug one single bit in any mode.

Dx12 yes, checking to use dual core for some reason fixed it temporarily until a bullet was shot, then it crashed again

My pal is also using the same exact settings and has the same build

there's likely some setting that doesn't play nice with your PC and switching it on or off will fix things. I wish I could tell you more but all I can say is to keep fucking around with sliders and boxes until you get the desired result. there should be nothing preventing you from playing it like I am.

Why would I play Timesplitters 2 when Future Perfect exists? Also you can emulate all three with mouse controls.

I mean single player works fine, but multiplayer is where it's at for TS

>Why would I play Timesplitters 2 when Future Perfect exists?
probably because TS2 is better in almost every single way aside from having a simpler mapmaker.

like I said, there should be nothing preventing you from playing the MP, you just need to fuck around with it. google "timesplitters 2 dolphin", other people have had this issue and solved it but i'm too lazy to do the work for you. it works for me so obviously there's a solution

No, kid, that's the opposite of the truth. FP improves on every single aspect of 2. More characters, an actual campaign, more modes, all the maps from 2 and then new ones, online (which doesn't really matter at this point, but still), better weapon selection and then the map maker, which can also make single player missions.
It's only worse if you're a hipster dipshit, it's so much better it almost makes TS2 irrelevant.

based

>more characters
24 more and half are near-duplicates
>actual campaign mode
you mean like TS2 had, with twice as many time periods, better level design and objectives that changed depending on difficulty level?
>more modes
yeah now you went full retard. TSFP actually removed modes -- no flame tag, no leech, no regeneration, less arcade leagues and challenges.
>all of the maps from 2 and then new ones
I hope you're trolling me because nobody could actually be this retarded. it had 3, not all, 3.
>better weapon selection
you mean like all of the weapons that are functionally useless because there are better versions? i.e. silenced pistol that has the same fire rate, damage, etc., as the LX-18 but with half the clip size? every weapon in TS2 had unique stats and advantages.
>the map maker, which can also make single player missions
yeah... you could do that in TS2 also

want to talk about TSFP? let's see... character stats are completely broken (stamina doesn't work and agility gives you more health, so robots are the weakest and monkey/deadwina have the most health in addition to being the fastest LOL), characters no longer have removable hats or custom character effects, pacing was removed, high res textures were removed, difficulty levels do nothing except make enemies take more damage, you can't have more than 6 bots in a mapmaker map except on the Xbox version, features like the sentry guns and screens in Training Ground were removed for no reason, multiple lighting effects were removed, you can longer break objects by punching... the list goes on. yeah, TSFP is shit.

does this shit work on linux?

no idea but you can look it up and try

alright

Yes

Lmao, TSFP is a fucking trash can. It says something when even the developers didn't like the game.

>explain yourself
I'm sick as hell and really don't wanna leave my bed
