It's better than it's ever been.
Yes, even better than Blood Money. It doesn't have every feature that Blood Money had, but over all it's a batter game now.
By giving us this
I enjoy the sandbox gameplay but I miss the atmosphere and soundtrack of early games
>make 47 less quippy
>shut Diana up
>get rid of the stupid Illuminati plot and stick to killing dirtbags
>make main focus on dirtbags
>quit with the fucking pointless explosive weapons
>bring back actual native language voice acting
>less stupid shit like fish weapon
>change the tone of the game to something darker. I want to kill a rapist or something. current targets are boring
>bring back different ranks instead of binary SA or no SA
>change requirements for sa so non-target accidents don't count against you
Get rid of the always online bullshit.
Disable handholdy elements like opportunities popups, minimaps and eagle vision by default and hide them behind handicap options.
Add airport, ski resort and prison levels.
also
>remove online
>bring back money system
>make npc's less wacky
>reduce the amount of 1 button kill assassinations
>driving gloves
You can keep it.
I'm surprised that you wouldn't ask for Blood Money's rich weapon customization back as well.
I found it a pretty charming part of the game that really made it feel like you tailored your gear to your exact needs.
The nu shit is so fucking soulless, I know thats a bullshit cop-out meme answer but it really is. It's like some mid 2000's crappy b-movie that you forget about as soon as you finish watching it.
I forgot about that. yes I want that too. I find most of the pistol unlocks beside the gold one and the silverballers boring so I'd rather customize the silverballers instead
Remove the whole glamorous cookie cutter spy-thriller theme, give us the dark, gritty and dirty feel of old Hitman. Make you feel like you're really crawling in the belly of the criminal underworld.
The games always had B-Movie feel, especially the first one with the ridiculous villains
>some mid 2000's crappy b-movie that you forget about as soon as you finish watching it.
You mean like the Hitman movies?
Contracts is the only actually dark game in the series, the rest of early games were still fairly goofy.
i always found it as kinda useless since all i did was upgrade silverballers and everything else was just flavour for going loud
>>change requirements for sa so non-target accidents don't count against you
You were doing so well until here, pleb
Decide my next loadout and map.
Playing 2016 in HM2, first time with the new stuff, so far I actually prefer it. I will admit I do want the atmsophere of the older games, this one is very sleek and "cool", not as much a fan. In terms of gameplay I'd say its the best one. The sandbox feels limitless, and the casualization is very smart with only removing tedious stuff.
The Sniper rifle was mildly useful as well
>playing Meat King's Party
>finding the girl you're looking for's corpse hanging from a meat hook, as music plays
>turn around and find the butcher right behind you, ready to strike
That shit got me so hard it isn't even funny, no wonder the mission is so fondly remembered.
This.
>Codename 47
>kill sumo-wrestler bodyguards, Colombian drug lords, more fat guys in showers
>Silent Assassin
>an uplifting globe-trotting epic to save the priest that saved you through Catholicism
DESU I've only played a bit of the first one, bm, and nu1&2 so i don't have much knowledge on the franchise but bm had things like child sex slave rings and pedophiles. I find targets like that infinitely more interesting than Illuminati people because the former is very very real so that stuff makes me want to kill them. i don't care about the Illuminati nor 47's past because I've already seen it. codename had starting triad wars which I like
I wonder if by begging IO enough we can get them to replace current gloves with simple black ones.
Play on Bangkok, bring unsilenced gun, explosives, and distraction tools only.
I personally am not a fan of how much of the game is down to contextual actions.
Things like a silent chokehold becoming a loud slap in the back the second a person lays foot on a staircase is awfully inconvenient and it's still unaddressed.
Bring back Jesper Kyd
Sapienza, default clothes absolutely no weapons or gadgets, you are there for a vacation in the nice and sunny Amalfi coast.
there are so many moments that allow the player to do creative kills but most of the time that results in killing civvies with chandeliers or something. with the current sa, your only real options for killing are elaborate coin placement or just following an opportunity for a 1 button kill. removing this penalty would open up more options for the player
I can only hope so, because fucking hell, it's getting silly now. Every single gloved suit that is original to HITMAN 2 has those exact same driving gloves.
I haven't played enough of it yet, about 5 hours in and on mission 3. I could see that being an issue, though.
You forgot the ending where you shoot a bunch of your clones
SA, C47 and Blood Money still had a different, darker feel to them than nu Hitman does. I'm not really complaining though, nu Hitman could be worse.
At least the Blood Money and Whittleton Creek suits have the normal full gloves. Its worth playing the elusive targets alone just for that.
Colorado, Striker and Lancer only. Be loud as a dragon, yet subtle as a snake.
I just did this but with a sniper rifle also. I'll do it again without the rifle for you though.
Finally, a vacation. I think I'll stay in that villa. I'll have to clear out the vermin first though.
Have you guys watched Noclips documentary series on Hitman? Pretty interesting stuff
youtu.be
Actually, if I remember correctly, the ET version of the Whittleton Creek suit will switch the full leather gloves to the driving ones. It's maddening.
Alright how do we reach out to those guys.
There are ways around it, like the all too convenient blunt item to the head, so it shouldn't be much of an issue to you, but it's still annoying for those strict windows.
Enjoy yourself, user.
Is it ever explained how the fuck diana is seeing everything 47 sees?
It's like she's a psychic medium or something.
Is it ever explained how Everyone is the same clothing size as 47?
47 is actually unknowingly within a simulation Ort-Meyer cooked up to finish his training. That's why the AI is so dumb, why everyone sounds American, and why every article of clothing fits 47.
I think it has to be some form of joke at this point, we know IOI is cheeky like that. It's just weird, HITMAN 1's outfits all had fitting gloves.
Hitman was okay but the maps of hitman 2 were just too goddamn big, gave up with miami. Would rather have 10-15 smaller maps like the tutorial missions than 5-6 xbox huge areas.
fpbp
Miami stands out for being fairly large, but HITMAN 2 also has a few more reasonably sized maps. Whittleton Creek and now the Bank are nice and small, while being pretty enjoyable.
-Fix the engine. It still stutters even on the most powerful PCs
-Add weapon customization for silencers, extended magazines, laser sights, scopes, ammunition
-Give 47 back the ability to dual wield pistols
-Don't make players pay for entirely new levels. New York and Maldives are an absolute ripoff for their price considering how lazy New Zealand was in the base Hitman 2
-Significantly reduce back always online requirements for progression and standard play. They should only ever be used for elusive targets, player created contracts and uploading rankings. You don't even get a ranking for offline play which is fucking ridiculous
-Allow players to synchronize their weapons, outfits and tools across Hitman 1 and 2 including the console versions
Hitman 2 also had some smaller maps. Whittleton Creek is a prime example of a small map as is New York if you have the DLC; Miami, Colombia, and Mumbai are just xbox hueg. Sgail is decently sized but its more vertical than it is wide so that sort of factors into its small to medium size.
>three piece suit
>with driving gloves
I know the suit it's based on also uses them, but still.
While The Bank was sweet, I feel its small scope hurt it more than it should. There wasn't even a bank robbery you could provoke into taking place and infiltrating the vault, which is presented to you as a major objective, so much so that there's an alternate method to completely bypass it, is piss easy to complete and doesn't even require much running around, with the alternative being far more complicated.
Post map ideas for hitman 3
>air force one, on the ground
>have to make your way to the plane
>get inside, kill the target and get out again
>prepper bunker
>somewhat like colorado, map full of armed personnel
>set in a forest, make your way into the bunker and eliminate target
>art gallery
>map that can change layout, hidden passages
>maybe with instinct disabled
a small island
That could be the resort that's coming out in a mere 9 days. The fact that it's coming so early worries me that it may be as lackluster as New York.
Aircraft Carrier at sea. All tight corridors and blind corners.
Good question, I'm sure people on Hitmanforum have complained enough about these, and those are pretty much the official forums.
So is Resort the last proper map?
Pretty much, outside of the Halloween theme that seems to be it as far as content additions come. There will still be ETs, Escalations and maps added to Ghost Mode, I'm sure. But maybe we won't get anything else that's significant.
Could be getting ready to go all in on HiTMAN 3's development
>nuclear steam catapult target into the ocean
>yo 47, get this suit/item, go to this location, press X to sit in the chair and listen to the obviously evil target rant at you, and then stand up and press X to kill them
gets a bit repetitive and stale
Is that content free or good goy dlc?
Bit of both, what is marked as Silver or Gold Edition you have to shell out for, otherwise it's fair game.
I still want them to rip off that multiplayer mode from AssCreed Brotherhood where you're all a bunch of players disguised as NPCs trying to suss out which other NPCs are also assassins based on their movement.
>bunch of hitman start the map in regular clothes
>have to grab a disguise asap and not be in an area you wouldn't see said disguise in
>bonus objectives for points to drive people not to camp out
>Jason M thread turned into an actual Hitman thread
heh
>Sneak into an empty room and change a fake pistol for a real one
>"HOLY SHIT 10/10 GAMEPLAY UGGGGGGHGHHHHHHHH I FEEL LIKE A FUCKING MURDERER IRL! I JUST KILLED MY EX WIFE BECAUSE BLOOD MONEY IS SO ENGAGING I COULDN'T TELL THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN IT AND REAL LIFE!"
Turn off the opportunities and kill the target your own way faggot.
only way to fix hitman is to make it completely linear, sandbox shit is boring and doesn't work, you can't fix it.
What is this?
Good point. For all the shit Assassin's Creed gets, Brotherhood's multiplayer was excellent.
More small sized maps like Bank and Hokkaido
Is this that lady in Bangkok that goes "there goes my next ex-husband" when she sees you?
It felt like a natural extension of the Spies vs. Mercs frame of mind from Splinter Cell PT/CT. Shame no one remembers either game's multiplayer on modern Yea Forums.
Hitman is prime to follow it for multiplayer, but how you synchronize a large number of peds between players is beyond me.
Yes
I love what it is, but to fix it so it makes more money?
>Open world sandbox in a giant city/medium suburbs/small forest
>mission set up like MGSV
>small kill missions lead to big hit missions
>giant pool of weapons and outfits
>online element of trying to get the hit first and gmod like hide and seek
Bring back Jesper Kyd and ditch that shitty spy movies tone.
youtube.com
>Open world sandbox
>mission set up like MGSV
>small kill missions lead to big hit missions
Nah leave this shit to far cry
While I imagine crowds and overall NPC behaviour wouldn't be as primitive as the one in AC:B's MP, since I imagine you'd account for things like security NPCs, NPC bodies lying around to be found and all that jazz, I don't see why it wouldn't be achievable today. Ghost Mode actually has each player's crowd act independently, to make it so that you can't purposefully go loud to give the other player a hard time, which is interesting. I don't know enough about games to really speak of how this works but I'm sure something could be worked out.
How is Jesper Kyd so good? Every track of his is a treat.
Well you obviously wouldn't have the tower system.
The way I see it working is that you would have the very first mission of the game be in some museum or something, all the building. Then you exit after making the hit and you take the wheel.
You would use payphones or a laptop to accept hit contracts around the map. Small ones would be like a housewife in the suburbs. You do a couple of those or skip them and then you do the huge ones. A bank owner. Someone vacationing in their chalet. Etc.
Just because you greentexted it ironically, doesn't mean that Blood Money didn't feel more organic. I guess in BM's case it was because Diana shut the fuck up completely during the mission and only gave you hints that you had to pay for.
I feel like Hitman multiplayer would want the crowds of 500+ npcs still, but it'd have to consider them as flocks of 20-30 some npcs moving/acting as a singular unit just for sake of sane networking.
Maybe some wizardry shit to allow random npcs within each flock to peter off into their own for a bit before merging with another one.
It's perfect as it is. Just need more levels like the bank.
You seem mad bro
Is Codename 47 worth a look?
>he makes people not feel anymore
>a special kind of feel
It's an interesting experiment, but it honestly feels like an alpha. It's rough and has some godawful levels, but also has a couple of pretty good ones (that got remade in Contracts).
>want to play New York
>it will cost 40 dollars to upgrade to get it
Fucking kike devs
It can be a pain in the ass to get running perfectly on a modern machine. Have to force the game's framerate down via outside program, and even then it'll stutter or the physics get fucky.
Gibs, dismemberment, the ability to dissolve body parts in acid baths etcetera etcetera

He can create tension when it's needed
Fucking hell, really?
>open world
"no!"
I say keep the mechanics of nu-hitman and pretty much everything else you mentioned but make the tone more like this.
Just buy it from some random key site for like 20 dollars or lower.
Did you know Hitman Contracts was absent from Steam for a long time because of one Clutch song
So fund some Indian tech scammer and have my CC possibly stolen
Go play Absolution then faggot
It's been ages since I played Hitman, how much would cost me to play NuHitman 1 and 2? I've heard they have a lot of DLCs
It's nice to try if you want to see how the series evolved, but nowadays it's really clunky and dated with buggy AI, extreme reliance on trial and error since you often don't know what to do and lack of any mid mission saves
Silent Assassin was a massive leap forward
Actually I might pick it up since it’s on a reliable site for half off right now
Still 109 countries
humblebundle.com
If I own Hitman1, do I have to pay anything extra to play those levels in Hitman2? Steam version.
Yes you need the legacy pack upgrade or the legacy pack base game
I have been replaying the old hitman games last week since Critical Nobody did a retrospective of the series, those first games were really quite hard, especially the second one where guards would shoot at you if you started running.
Is Absolution really that bad though? I am at second level right now and it would be OK if they made it under different name.
I think you should be able to grab HITMAN 1 for fairly cheap. I think I got the Complete First Season edition for twenty bucks.
As a bonus, owning HTIMAN 1 makes you eligible for the Legacy Pack in the sequel, which imports all the levels to it. Mind you not your progress.
And you don’t get to keep any unlocks
store.steampowered.com
No, I don't think so. At least on PS4 I didn't have to pay anything extra to get the pack in the sequel, though I am not sure what the exact process for claiming it on Steam would be.
if you have regular TM1 you get the standard legacy thing free with an option to pay to upgrade to goty legacy which has patient zero and shit
if you have TM1 goty you get the goty legacy thing free
if you get TM2 start the game once and then exit the game. it should then start downloading an update with all the TM1 maps.
Bangkok
Kashmirian
Fish
Automatic shotgun
Looks like I'm stuck paying at least $13....although there's two "legacy" packs. GG on explaining shit WB. Will probably just wait on a sale where everything Hitman2 is $40 or less then.
Wait user, read this before you risk spending money unnecessarily.
ioi.dk
>Is Absolution really that bad though?
Best action aporoach in a series. With some tweaks in could be a great Punisher game
Ah, thanks. So it's automated on their end once running the game. Their store page mentioned *none* of this.
