I wish I liked classic MonHun. It's just so fucking repetitive. World is too, but I feel the controls just make it feel a little more fun to play, plus when I was playing it a lot I was really getting super high damage with hammer and it felt fucking great.

The music stops when the roar plays, it's 100% a teaser.

As a Lance main I find Hammer and Charge Blade fairly enjoyable too, you could try giving those a shot.

I know all the combos but i feel that i am not doing as much damage as I should, can someone give me a rundown of how you generally approach monsters with the hammer

Keep charge up at all times, hit it in the face, have flinchfree because of bow and ls fags. It's very simple.

Upper cuts if it's a fast moster the keeps moving, trying to snipe the head with level three charge, punishing the monster with golf swing, and big banging the monster while it's down

This isn't my first Monster Hunter, I know who Garuga is and what he does. Boetodus combines so many fucking obnoxious habits into a single monster it makes my fucking head spin.

Hammer's in a good spot right now. They either buffed the KO damage online or lowered the KO threshold online, either way it's way easier to get stuns with the Hammer now

They increased the amount of KO both hammer and hunting horn do

Velkhana is just a more obnoxious version of beotodus, only with a kush skin and even more iceblight and was by far the least fun I've had in iceborne. At least beotodus goes down fast

i cluster bombed the shit out of him just before the iceborne update, i don't think i would've done it any other way. bullshit monsters must be out-bullshitted
