It's not terrible, it's unironically great. All the characters have really good arcs. It's on the nose, yes, but I fail to see how that's a bad thing.

Those are rather minor flavor details, though they're also cliche on their own. Also communication was never an issue, pretty sure Hibiki had every reason not to tell anyone of her secret super hero stuff, for their own good as much as for hers, the other girl overreacted and was a cunt for the sake of drama.
