Buy game

>buy game
>don't enjoy it
>have just wasted my money

How do buyfags justify this?

don't buy games you probably won't like.
also just return it.
what is the issue?

>buy game
>enjoy it
>but could also have gotten it for free by pirating
>have just wasted my money

>buy game
stopped reading there, op is fucking dumb

momoneymoproblems

>buying something you aren't even sure you will like
stupid frogposter

>nu-fun
they'll trick their brain into thinking they're having fun because it's a better feeling than acknowledging they wasted money
have you seen switch fag threads? they post pictures and talk about how they love their 720p 30fps ports that run and look like shit because facing up to the fact they've spent 300+ currency on a bing bing wahoo machine and 200+ on terrible ports would make their heads explode. it's a literal coping mechanism

That's all nintendo games though, I should have a garuntee of quality from a triple AAA release on steam.

I only buy cheap-ass games, like 3 dollar cheap. Still regret sometimes.

Nintendo shitposting aside, nu-fun is actually a thing, but it was never named.
It's what you do when you force yourself to stick to a hobby that you don't give a shit about anymore. You commit even harder to buyfaggotry to force yourself to stick with it.
Happened to me too, when I was hit by the sudden realization that Yea Forums was right about PS3 and I had still bought it at day one. I bought this shit at day one
youtu.be/zohGELVTa5M?t=395
By the time Lair was reviewed, my copy had arrived, and I sold it immediately afterwards.
I bought Resistance, and I didn't even like fps. NGSigma, and I had already beaten Black and it was better. VF5, and it had no online. I bought SC4, and it was terrible. I must have spent over $1000 in the first two years on PS3 shit, that probably broke my spirit and when I saw that was actually the future of gaming, my interest died. Only decent game that time was Folklore and it was a rental at best, no full price material.

>Usually play games on pc or older home brew systems
>want to try some current fighting games
>get a steal on an xbox one with controller for only 110$
>get mk11 for 50, sc6 for 20, and while i'm at it battlefield 1 and monster hunter for about 20 combined
>forgot I live in rural Midwest with only 1 MB internet connection.

I just spent 200 dollars on a paper weight. Whelp i guess i'm back to playing games on pc, and hombrewed 3ds and ps3,

On another note i have too many fucking games collecting dust in my closet. I have an og xbox, 2 xbox 360s (the disc tray is busted on one of them), said xbox one,Dreamcast, ps1, ps3, 3ds,gamecube, and wii, and at least a handful of games for each system.

How do you deal with having this much shit? I'm half tempted to try and sell all of and buy a pc that can emulate everything and doesn't take up 7 stackedboxes in my closet. Honestly having so much kind of stresses me out due to burden of choice. I got most of those systems as handme downs/ christimas presents,

any anons with similar feels?

>XBOX
That's where you fucked up. PS4 is the tournament standard for FGs; all good FGs are on it

>pirate game
>like it
>buy
Is it really that hard?

most ps4s systems with controllers were like 150 with shipping being extra.

I honestly just wanted to play Soul Calibur 6 and MK11 the cheapest way possible. but it wouldn't have mattered with my 1 mb connection

I buy indie games on sale and pirate AAA games no matter the price. If piracy hurts the industry, I'd rather see EA die and stuff like Zachtronics live, and if piracy doesn't hurt the industry I'd rather encourage the people who at least occasionally do something other than graphically upgraded rehashes.

Depends on the dev/publishers.
Some games Like Euro Truck Sim 2, Marble It Up, Rising Storm 2, I love to support them.
But if I can pirate from the mega corps, fuck'em.

>doesn't have killer instinct

lol keep dreaming

By buying games you do like?
My tell me you just buy whatever you're told to.

How are you suppose to know if you will like something without trying it?

Demos and research?

Not all games have demos.
Research means jack shit. Watching someone play and playing it yourself are two different things.
zoom zoom

I justify it by enjoying what I buy.

By doing research on the product first before you buy it. No excuses.

>Not all games have demos.
Most do nowadays even then if they don't research works fine.
>Research means jack shit
Wrong, with research you can find out if the game aligns with your own personal tastes so unless you're into video games for some alterior motive you shouldn't have a problem.
Hell, nowadays people make in depth videos on combat systems and the like before a game even comes out so even dumbasses like you can be spoon-fed the necessary information.

>zoom zoom
>saying this while buying whatever shows up in ads
Let me guess, ps4 gathering dust?

I'm still happy to just own the game.

>Watching someone play and playing it yourself are two different things."

Unless there is something wrong with the gameplay and the person playing the game not only explains what is wrong, but shows you what is wrong by way of camera, then there is not a difference between watching someone play the game, and playing the game yourself. In which case your argument falls apart completely.

peak consumerism.

I just don’t buy bad games. Simple as

>"How do I know how a game plays if I don't play it myself?"
>"By doing research?"
>"FUCK YOU NERD WATCHING VIDEOS IS FOR "insert buzzword here" AND I WILL NEVER BE ONE"
>"Again, you can watch a video about a game, see how they explain how it plays, have them show the controller to the camera to know how it plays, and base if you want to buy that game or not off of that"
>"PEAK CONSUMERISM"

Peak consumerism? You mean buying games without knowing anything about them? And being proud of not knowing anything about them? Being proud of spending money on something you know nothing about? THAT peak consumerism?

>literally ask questions
>get called out for not asking questions

You win.

If you like the genre and its reviewed well and you want the game, you will probably enjoy it

user, that image doesn't work if we're telling you to ask questions and only buy if you're interested.

>frogfag thread is shit
As expected

cope, seethe, and dilate

Kneel.

That picture more applies to you, idiot.

How so? You're the one defending blind purchases and pretend that games come with demos, when most don't or falsely represent the entire product.
Piracy is a reaction to a anti-consumer market, and they deserve it until standards are created and upheld.

>keep purchasing expansions and monthly subscriptions for an MMO
>dont play

Unironically I am already convinced it's a mental problem because I justify it with
>its just nice to have it
the jews won.

Nobody is defending blind purchases.
Asking you to do research is not telling you to blind purchase.
Asking you to look for free demos is not telling you to blind purchase.
Stating reasons that you shouldn't blind purchase until you know what you are getting is not encouraging you to blind purchase.
You know what IS encouraging you to blind purchase? Saying flimsy false excuses against being prepared, and being against doing research before you buy, is encouraging to buy without said research. Encouraging blind purchases.

OP didn't want a genuine response

I never ever buy games unless i am sure i will enjoy them.

Worst case the game stops being fun after 100+ hours.
Like how it happen tom me in DBFZ.
I unironically enjoyed Cross tag more.

So you wanted to make a pro piracy thread, but instead of actually doing that normally, you made a bait thread of "anybody who buys a game is bad and you cannot prove me wrong come at me bro".

Only buy games used or in sales, and especially don't only buy one game at a time. If it turns out to be shit you'll have nothing else to fall back on.

You could always pirate it and then buy if you like it.

the only games i buy are ones with a MP aspect. and even there i try to get the key or subscription for as cheap as possible

I change them for other games or resell them
physical copies for the win

I'm not OP. Believe it or not more than one person might have a similar thought.

I balance things out by purchasing some and pirating others. If I buy a Nintendo game that's shit it's okay since I pirated most of the rest of their library.

Attached: 1495000142496.jpg (376x425, 60K)

That is what I do. I was questioning how these people claiming to "do research" know what a game is going to be.
All of the streamers, trailers, screenshots, interviews will never compare to actually playing it.

>It's another "Frogposter turns out to be a retard" episode
When is this show getting cancelled already?

Attached: (You).png (623x446, 101K)

Only buy games that are hard to download due lack of seed.

Some people now have a camera on the controller and on the screen so you can actually see how the game plays for yourself, so that is no longer true.

>It's what you do when you force yourself to stick to a hobby that you don't give a shit about anymore.
Pretty sure thats just sunken cost fallacy.
I know plenty of people that will buy the new whatever in a series (video games or movies) even if they dont like it anymore. Their reasoning is "I've seen/played the others."

Sometimes you just end up buying a dissapointing game. Learn from that experience and be more critical when said developer releases another game.

Get better taste in games and buy good shit, retard.

If only there was a way to play games for free so you can see if you like them and avoid getting jewed.

>Buying AAA ''games''

watch 2 minutes of gameplay on youtube and instantly know if ill like it or not. ya dummy

I got baited into buying Underrail and hate my life, I don't care that it was only 14$ or whatever. FUUUUCKK!!!!!!
