FREE WEEKEND AND SALE
TALK ABOUT THIS GAME DAMN IT Yea Forums
HOW CAN YOU HATE DWARVES
FREE WEEKEND AND SALE
it's fun but there are other games out there that require the same timesink. You need friends playing it to make it really work
>buy autocannon on gunner
>it's an autobbgun
who the fuck thought this was a good idea
>that feel when you see an obvious shill thread, but bump anyway cause you love the game
For Karl!
>Die like your mother
What did engineer mean by this?
Yeah, those super smash threads are getting out of hand. Glad this game has had zero shilling.
>deep dives didn't get shipped with the free weekend
what weapon perks are you running on it?
Dwarves suck
> forced character progression to artificially maintain a degree of interest for completionists, so the game can pretend to get your money's worth of entertainment
i had to stop after 8 hours because it would just be another fucking grind-slog to max level, where the game would be more enjoyable if it gave you everything to fucking start.
>what weapon perks are you running on it?
I was running armor penetration, and dmg+ shit and it felt ultra weak.
FLASHLIGHT
>express interest to my friends that we should play this game
>hype it up for a whike>finally its time it's a free weekend and it's on sale fuck son it never goes on sale
>HEY user MINSTER HUNTER IS HALF OFF CMON WE'RE ALL GONNA BUY AND PLAY IT TOGETHER
>DEEP ROCK LMAO NEVER HEARD OF IT
Just pretend I'm literate enough to type that correctly.
Just pretend you don't know what MHW is and act like you don't see it in your games list.
>MINSTER HUNTER
sound like a VN about a hermit in the forest
>played it
>game started out fine until it started interfering with my bluetooth headsets
Why...This is the same fucking thing with brink.
what game is this shit
I hate the endless enemies coupled with limited ammo pool, I wish this game was comfier. Mods when?
If you mine nitra you have plenty of ammo though?
Sounds more like you need to play with more restraint on ammo and remember to use your pickaxe or play with a good scout to find and get all materials
limited ammo is a non issue unless you are a slow cunt or playing hazard 5
>hazard 5 point extraction
>If you mine nitra you have plenty of ammo though?
Nope, the entire game is on a fucking timer precisely because ammo, INCLUDING the one you get with Nitra, is limited.
I usually solo levels, which is how I like to play, hence, asking for mods.
Let robot kill more then
He has unlimited ammo
How slow do you go?
Are lower difficulties not comfy enough?
Do you want them to add respawns come with ammo as a mod for robot buddy?
It's for softening crowds, not damage. Put armor breaking and fear/suppression on it for crowd control.
I want to be a warhammer dwarf and clear grudges. these dwarves are too sanitized for me
The current upgrade system hardly takes any time to max out. Weapon mods are getting expanded in this month's expansion, and perks will be revamped later on.
>How slow do you go?
Not a single scrap of any resource goes not mined. That much.
>Are lower difficulties not comfy enough?
Nope, it's even worse because some levels have hazards which require you to shoot as well. Literally an ammo sink.
>Do you want them to add respawns come with ammo as a mod for robot buddy?
Honestly? I think the entire game could be remade with an infinite ammo pool in mind, with reload times being a tactical factor rather than ammo being a de facto time limit, the game has a lot, such as exploration, which is limited by the ammo issues. There are just countless games out there with infinite ammo which show how hard those can be. Like I said mag management, properly avoiding the enemies and hell even terraforming the level due to the nature of the game a lot less rush focused and more tactical. But then again, that is an entire reshaping of the game, and I know I'm probably alone with my tastes, so it wouldn't be reasonable for me to say, ask that from the developers. At the same time, since the entire game is made with 4 players in mind, I do think that playing on the dedicated solo mode should basically be a different experience with different challenges.
A VERY easy solution would be for bugs to drop Nitra on death. With their nests also dropping it.
My friend group mostly dissolved after we all got bored playing Monster Hunter World, a few months after it hit PC.
Now, I just play Deep Rock, Risk of Rain 2, Minecraft... whatever we both feel like, with one other person. Deep Rock's fun enough to play with randos, though; almost everyone who isn't a scrub follows general a general etiquette + the game's fun.
>het let's make killing floor but worse!
You might be playing the wrong game. Left 4 Dead, Vermintide, Deep Rock, and Deathwing aren't about comfy, they're about achieving something as a team while getting attacked by large numbers of weak enemies while a few more dangerous ones try to pick you off. Solo is a bit neglected in this genre, and it's definitely not supposed to be a walking simulator.
Deep Rock's devs have talked about some sort of easy exploration mode before, but they've been a little more reserved about future plans since they dedicated themselves to the big update that's hitting this month (endgame multi-objective missions, special challenges, and a ton of new cosmetics and weapon mods).
Melee update when?
Melee weapon mods for update 25, please.
>You might be playing the wrong game
Yeah I realized, after I bought it.
>Deep Rock's devs have talked about some sort of easy exploration mode before
Eh not what I was describing really, both Vermintide and L4D for example allow you to take your time and be careful rather than focusing on rushing, hell VMT2 actually rewards being careful and neither of them actually limits your ammo. Again I think that at least on Solo, enemy spawns should be tied to Nitra, making them drop the actual thing would be a very easy way to do it.
Karl was probably killed by the bugs or elves. There's no Book of Grudges, but these dorfs hate Glyphids and pointy-eared leaf lovers.
Try playing Driller with extra melee damage drill mods, throwing axes, and the Berzerker, Iron Will, and Vampire perks.
Dwarves are a shit race only dirty neckbeards and small dick loners like.
>Vermintide
>not rushing
Are you sure we played the same game? Vermintide 1 and 2 punish you with hordes and specials that are on a slightly-variable timers. It's not a big deal if you're playing below Champion difficulty, but nothing else is more likely to kill you than specials+a horde at the same time, other than maybe patrols or bugs.
Have you played any Ghost Recon games, maybe Thief or other stealth games? Those sound more your speed.
On the fence to buying it, I am worried nobody will be playing this in a month or two. And I only have one friend to play with.
can it be fun with 2 fill in randoms?
>Vermintide 1 and 2 punish you with hordes and specials
Yeah but you also get hordes on specific spots and objectives, if you have an active horde on your ass and then get to an objective you risk also getting a special on top of it. The most successful strategy is slow and steady.
You want another 5 smash threads and 6 wojak threads or would you rather a thread about vidya?
I always play solo or with one friend I convinced to buy the game, and I leave my lobbies open.
The player base is tiny right now, but I almost never finish a mission without at least one other player joining in.
Difficulty is scaled based on the number of players, so you're not boned if you're playing with less than a full team. If you're playing solo, you get a drone, Bosco, that's actually more useful than a single dwarf because it can fly and has unlimited ammo, though it can only revive you up to 4 times.
I've almost never run into truly bad randoms, just inexperienced ones at worst. There are quite a few players around who've been playing since the game hit early access, and they've gotten really good. Almost everyone will greet you with an emote and help you out with the tools of the class they're palying.
>Almost everyone will greet you with an emote
Thats just common courtesy.
ROCK AND STONE
Ahaha look guys it's a Vermintide 2 refugee.
;_;
You hunker down or move very slowly and carefully, as a group, when there's a horde. That is the only time when you shouldn't be moving as quickly as possible (AS A TEAM) in Vermintide.
Every extra enemy you have to deal with is another potential slaverat shiv in the ass, at the very least, and time=more rats. Vermintide is exactly what you were complaining about earlier.
user your energy is wasted on him. He's just mad because he's bad.
TO THE BONE
Yes, and a War of the Roses refugee.
you should've learned the first time. I'm sorry
He might not be bad, just looking for a different game. People call me bad when I talk about what I look for in an RTS— infinite/renewable resources, a focus on PVE, and very little micromanagement.
A slow-paced stealth game might be what he's looking for, while I'm probably looking for a city builder, not an RTS.
Disagree, There is nothing more comfy than the Red Moon Inn in Vermintide 1. Keep is more comfy than the Space rig, but hopefully the space rig will eventually allow comfy progression upgrades like The Keep and The Red Moon Inn did
At least I didn't get into Chivalry, Mordhau, or Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
I did fall for Vermintide 2, but I think it'll eventually be good, like Vermintide 1 eventually became. Fatshark has to make every mistake, first, though.
Anything wrong with Mordhau other than updates at the speed of glacier?
>RTS
>infinite/renewable resources
Have you tried Battle Realms? You grow rice and collect water.
Sell me on this game. Is this just mining and no crafting? Can you build a comfy base or something?
its not minecraft its mineshoot
Ah, but the comfy bits are supposed to be ephemeral. This sub-genre is about fighting against overwhelming odds without feeling extremely powerful (like in Dynasty Warriors).
The Red Moon Inn was extremely comfy, yes. I almost like the Keep more, but I understand that that's just my preference. The Space Rig is incomplete and may be too sprawling, like the Keep. Also, the terminals are boring copy-pastes that should be replaced with interesting stations that are relevant to what you're doing with them (ex: shrine, forge, etc. in Vermintide).
Get a look at this pointy-eared leaf lover.
I pirated it and played it for a few minutes years ago, but it's hard for me to play a match-based RTS without a larger goal, like the campaign maps in Dark Crusade or Battle for Middle Earth II, and it's even harder when I could be playing something more persistent and long-term (per map), as in Anno 1404.
I've only heard good things about Battle Realms, though. I might play its campaign, one day, along with Dragonshard's.
>kingdom come
I was just thinking of picking this up to fill the void. What's wrong with it?
Its a horde shooter set in procedurally generated caves full of aliens that want to eat your beard. You go down to this bug planet, complete objectives, and get out alive to get paid. You spend money on upgrades and cosmetics and, most importantly, beer.
Sometimes the performance shits the bed but otherwise it's a great game. Don't listen to that user
Ah, so more of a L4D kind of thing but with dwarves mining.
Yeah pretty much. Oh, and the terrain is fully destructible. You can break everything you see that isn't dwarf or robot.
You gather resources, mostly via mining (kind of like Minecraft's mining, but not restricted to set cubes of terrain), while fighting off hordes of bugs (comparable to Left 4 Dead or Vermintide combat, but more ranged than melee) in a randomly-generated cave system
Resources are used for alternate weapons and upgrades + cosmetics. This month's update will bring special weapon upgrades ("overclock mods") that you have to earn by finishing special missions and then completing special events that can appear during regular missions, and it looks like you'll "craft" the upgrades in a new forge screen (rather than just buy them in a little computer terminal).
In between missions you're in the Space Rig. It's an orbital platform that has a bar, various terminals to upgrade your equipment and accessorize your character, dance, kick barrels. There are currently.
Game play itself is a FPS that is meant to be play coop and is class based. Whether or not someone can play the same class as someone else in the group is dependent on the host
Classes are as follows and each have their own unique weapons and grenades. That's too much to cover so i'll focus on class abilities.
Engineer places one( or two if you purchase the upgrade) turrets that fire at enemies, he also has a gun that fires foam platform to help aid in accessing certain areas
Driller has a C4 pack that is thrown to blow up enemies (in addition to whatever grenades he chooses to bring) as well as a drill in order to mine dirt(but not minerals) faster than his allies
Scout has a grappling hook to grab onto cave walls without having to drill or otherwise go some other way to reach a location and a flare gun in order to better light up ceilings and the surrounding area
Gunnner has an AOE spherical energy shield that enemies can't get into, and that you can fire out of. He also has a gun that deploys ziplines in order to access areas.
There are 5 mission varieties and 5 difficulties. 3 of the mission varieties are pretty similar to one another, while the other are kind of similar to each other , but not as similar as the other 3 are to one another
There are also mutators that are randomly present on levels and will change gameplay to some extent.
I'm missing a lot , but i don't want to type more.
I haven't actually played it, honestly. After getting burned by War of the Vikings, the only multiplayer melee PVP game I've bothered with was For Honor, which I dropped because it had no dedicated servers at the time.
It looks like Mordhau's going through the same cycles as its predecessors— a fun game, initially, until everyone figures out the most broken strategies and never plays anything else, while the devs can't (or won't) handle fixing it. I haven't payed it much attention, to be fair, so feel free to tell me if you think it's great. I might pick it up, eventually, but it might be dead by then (or I'll go back to For Honor).
I really hope they add a subtle progression to the Space Rig as you complete more missions. Alien trophies or something spread around. I hope this game does well and the update continue.
it's l4d against aliens instead of zombies and you can dig through walls
>Bulk Detonator spawns near the droppod
>turn a corner
>instagibbed at 90% by bulk detonator
only non-falling death I've had in the 13 hours I've played
I think they're already doing that with the second floor and memorial hall.
I play as scout and it's fun but goddamn am I tired of getting the upgrades I need in every fucking game. Not sure about the new mode. My standards are too high so I have nobody to play with. Also running M1000 and zhukovs. Easily the best setup. M1000 kills all the big ones and zhukovs takes care of the fodder + plenty of ammo
Memorial hall is lame and out of the way
I love using the M1000 on critical weakness. Can make it so that you can 2 shot Bulk Detonators
I wish they made a shooting range already I want to go full autism about my loadout.
I'd appreciate that— something like Vermintide 2's (extremely late) portrait system, which you can customize and show off when you host. Maybe some alien taxidermies that track your kills for each variety.
The devs recently mentioned getting over 750k sales, so they've got money. They've also been bought out by THQ Nordic (which doesn't appear to have affected their work, thankfully), so there's advertising/investment money. Full release will probably bring in tons of new player+sales, and many who bought the game and shelved it (because of the Early Access tag) will probably come back. The game's on track to become a big hit— compare it to Risk of Rain 2, but note that it gets faster updates that are more likely to bring new features in addition to more variety in existing ones.
Seems like a good game like vermintide but like vermintide you need friends to have a good time. Unless I can get some Yea Forumsros to play with constantly I'll pass
What do you mean about getting upgrades? You only need to buy one drink per run (if it's not Dark Morkite+you're not going on a mining mission).
Drop your standards. Play on Haz4 and train some beardlings.
Yeah, M1000 and Zhukovs are one of the strongest loadouts in the game, that's very true. I still mix it up for variety, though.
Vermintide 1 had a great bots mod that allowed me to play all of the content solo. Fuck Fatshark for ruining that dream for Vermintide 2, with their "approved mods" list that they're too shitty to give up on. They ruined modding V2 by restricting mods.
Deep Rock doesn't require you to have other players with you.
is vermintide 1 still worth playing at all? it's been sitting in my library for a wihle untouched, and it seems like everyone is shitting on 2 recently, but I haven't tried it
Vermintide 1 is worth playing for the subtle improvements to The Red Moon Inn as you progress through the campaign
I think V1 might get new life soon due to intel letting it be one of the free games you could choose for their rewards program
How would you implement Difficulty banners in this game? In vermintide 2 if you complete every mission on a certain difficulty you get a banner for it.
is any of the dlc good or practically required? i don't have any of it, but it looks like there's a free one
Vermintide 1 is simpler than V2, but it's less buggy and allows you to play with whatever mods you want, unlike V2.
steamcommunity.com
V2 might be good, one day, after Fatshark stops being retarded, but right now, things look bleak. They're going to add microtransaction cosmetics— V1 only had one set that was added after all real DLC development was finished (after Drachenfels).
>team ready to extract on the drop pod
>bulk detonator spawns near the drop pod
>dumbshit engineer is still outside fighting shit instead of extracting the fuck away and winning
>gets downed by the swarm
>other two teammates run out and try to pick him up
>bulk detonator slammajammed everyone including me still inside the droppod
>MISSION FAILED
The DLC is worth it for having more maps to play on. Wait for a sale to get it all for cheap.
thanks, i'll try it later tonight, and install that modpack for the bots, not really interested in playing multiplayer with the small playerbase
too bad V2 is shit, the last game I played in this genre was payday 2 before they fucked it all up and it sounds like they did something similar
still pissed
Fuck Bulk Detonators
Fuck Betsies
And FUCK CAVE LEECHES. HOLY FUCK GIVE THEM A FUCKING SOUND QUE BECAUSE SCOUTS ARE RETARDED, FUCK!
Thanks, since I live in SEA I think I'll have trouble finding or joining sessions. Same goes with every niche mutiplayer game.
i fucking hate it, do these things even sell decently on the market or is it chump change because nobody gives a shit?
i keep it as a totem of my rage
Cave leeches make a hissing noise before they grab you.
I love playing it for free but I cant buy it fuuuck
>drop pod spawns in the middle of a tunnel, far away from any caves with space to maneuver in
>Molly's taking her sweet time getting to us
>Bulk spawns right next to the pod
>The team's competent; we get about half of its health down before it actually gets close enough to attack
>One dwarf goes down; another uses his Iron Will perk to revive the first
>Gunner has to use his shield for breathing room
>The Bulk's AOE knocks down two dwarves through the shield
>Burn my Iron Will to pick up two teammates
>Everyone goes down immediately after the revive except our Gunner, who's in Iron Will after that bulk detonator smash attack
>I tell him to get in the pod and leave us
>He staggers in, zero HP, with the bulk still roaring as the drop pod closes and exits
I think that was either a gold rush or double xp mission. Sad that we failed to keep everyone alive at the end, but that clutch escape meant a lot of XP and minerals.
I'm a Payday refugee to Vermintide, a Vermintide refugee to Deep rock.
Just wake me up
>What do you mean about getting upgrades?
I meant perk points. Still have a lot left I wanna try and have to do tedious "do 5 more missions" etc
>Play on Haz4 and train some beardlings
No
>I still mix it up for variety, though
AR is weak and shotgun has no ammo, makes it really difficult in higher difficulties
looks neat but I don't want to buy a game that'll be dead in a month
Bulks are fun; the drop pod is what needs to be fixed. Too many things can kill you even when you're hiding in the pod, waiting for the last dwarf to get in.
Bet-C is great. She's easy to kill if you don't fight her during a swarm and she has infinite ammo— having her around as an ally afterwards makes things so much easier, other than occasionally having to avoid her grenades.
Leeches hiss before grabbing. Scouts should be lighting up the roof before moving forward, anyway.
zipping around as scout, reviving teammates, getting on engi platforms for hard to reach minerals, cracking off precision shots on high-priority targets with m1000 is pretty fun
Kind of right, it might really depend on your region. It's not the most dead game out there though
nice
hope bo rots if the authorities catch him back in sweden
I don't have friends, thus I don't buy anything I need friends to enjoy.
Hazard 4 Isn't THAT hard... There's a possibility of failing, make no mistake- just hazard ≥3 doesn't give a lick or feeling or loss.
Is this one of those games where people get mad and kick you if you don't follow meta like l4d or vermintide
Vermintide 2 for comparison
Yes, the community on those games is always made of spergs
I haven't seen that yet. The most i've seen is threats of kicking if you're on max difficulty and below a certain overall level
Most of the community is chill. Though do expect some kicking if you join high level runs under leveled and geared and shit the bed.
SHIEEEEEEEEET been waiting to try this game.
Still chill atm
Only bad players I've seen are newbies trolling on the free weekend
The V button shouts make everyone feel brotherly
You don't really want to earn all the perks; wait for when the devs rework them. Just go with Iron Will, Vampire, Weekend Athlete, Field Medic, and Impact Compensators (alternatively, Sweet Tooth or Deep Pockets). Berzerker's just for funsies, and the others are generally bad (Heightened senses is the only possible exception, but you should git gud instead of relying on it).
AR is possibly the weakest primary in the game, but...
>makes it really difficult in higher difficulties
That's the point. It's different, and it provides challenge.
Throw phosphorous rounds on the shotgun and just use it on important single targets, or use blowthrough rounds to make it work well enough against hordes. The game's easy enough (even on Haz5) to let you play around with different builds, though, as I mentioned earlier, many perks are better off ignored.
Generally, no. If you are inexperienced and don't know some gameplay basics (ex: Engineer needs to place platforms for scouts to get minerals that are too high for other classes to reach; Driller is generally supposed to drill to the drop pod at the end of missions) and etiquette (ex: don't take other players' ammo packs), you might get kicked from haz4 and haz5 missions, but the community is generally very easygoing and friendly. Most players greet each other and celebrate winning/good play with an emote ("ROCK AND STONE"), and there's a context-sensitive ping system (the laser pointer) that generally lets other players know what you point things out in-game without needing to use text or voice chat.
Who's Karl?
No body knows, yet.
nvm just had 3 bulk detonators in 1 game with 3 newbies
>tfw you've been roped into playing yet another horde survival game
Vermintide 2 refugees report in
Asking "Who's Karl?" is like asking Kruber if Cousin Okri is real.
There is no information about Karl, really. The devs have mentioned adding lore before, so there'll probably be a log talking about how Karl is the best dorf of all time.
Stopped playing slightly before Back To Ubersreik i think. Never again, don't trust the swedes.
I have a theory that Vermintide 2's population is only still as active as it is because it has been mostly replaced 3 or 4 times over by people who at that time hadn't had enough of Fatshark's bullshit yet
>tfw playing gunner and using the minigun
A game that gets miniguns right is always worth a try in my mind
What should I play now that I've finished the tutorial? I'd prefer a mission where I get to shoot at shit non-stop
Point Extraction is my favorite because you don't have to deal with tunnels so much, same deal with a salvage mission.
Point extact would be a perfect choice. Spawn rate is insane compared to the other choices.
You're probably right
Honestly I'm surprised the game's even remained as active as it has for so long, considering the plethora of game breaking bugs it's had throughout its lifetime
Didn't the latest update also bring back silent patrols or something? I recall hearing something about some bugs that supposedly were fixed a couple of MONTHS after launch being reintroduced
Silent patrols have been reintroduced no less than 3 times
i bought the game some time ago but I kinda regret it, it gets boring pretty fast
At this point I'm convinced that Vermintide 2 runs on actual warpstone
How fucking hard is it to go
>x amount of big dudes in y amount of space
>make z sound
Point extraction is the most raw amount of mobs total but salvage ops have them tied together and paced the best as you have to switch between doing a mission and defending a point.
It's a shame you can't use your pickaxe while using the grappling hook. I get maybe the point is that that's what makes the Gunner's zip-line so important, but it just makes waiting for Bosco a bit annoying when running Scout solo.
Post your favorite music.
A deep cock asscractic, what a game
>4 of buy and play it together
>We end up with 2 people playing the class that can dig through the terrain easy
>As soon as we get the extraction activated we just walk to the closest wall and dig straight at it
>Other 2 classes just hold the enemy off in the tunnel
>Win nearly every time
I was skeptical but after playing with a friend I will probably be picking it up. Hope the playerbase gets bigger once the game is complete
Me and my friends, like most people I imagine, are edging ourselves for when the update drops
>use cheese strat while playing on hazard 1
>this game is so easy wtf
When will Scout get a boost to fall damage mitigation so I can finally leave my teammates and my humanity behind to become the ultimate miner
>theres minerals INSIDE the walls
>you can have your helper robot dig for you
They really should have explained this in the tutorial.
desperately needs better netcode or at least a few dedicated servers, hub area feels dead as fuck without any npcs or dialogue to be had, needs higher FOV too
>guy gets downed on grapling hook in a hole
>can't pick him up without grabbing hook
>hole fills with non-stop gas bugs, and flying bugs that grab you
When you upgrade his armor to tier 3.
>Can't gift game to friend because he already owns it
>He doesn't and only started playing with the free weekend
Nice one, devs.
>autist that wants to go fast
>autist that wants to dig EVERYTHING
>autist that wants to play with robots
>autist that wants to giblets and explosions
honestly surprised this game scratches so many itches
game sucks
Yeah, it's not that important for gameplay, but even 100-200 ping causes problem when you start climbing something.
>tfw you get 4 people and just blow through morkite missions
>carrying that fat agro crag back to the mule
Lack of mod support is a big one.
Map balance is dog shit.
They nerfed kicking so parry turtling is a nightmare.
fucking horses
you'll probably be able to gift it after freeweekend.
>Don't play this game for months
>Come back to it
>Space hub still as comfy as ever
>Mining with 3 other randoms still fun as ever
>Hazard 5 still challenging as ever
>Clutch escapes still satisfying as ever
How does this game manage to be so good?
You already did. Nothing beats Robot Getaway. The peak of anything you can experience in this game is managing to clutch your escape after rescuing a teammate who went down deep in the cave and making it to the Drop Pod, running to it as your teammates hold the area around it to try to secure your entry while 1:30 is playing in the background, finally making it in and watching the gates of the Drop Pod close with 1:52 in the background.
>client-side saves only
>in an online game
very not happy about losing my 70 hours of progress, will probably never end up playing the game again. I recommend still, it's a good one.
There's an option to recover saves in the menu, it happened to me and I almost dropped the game on the second day of playing it
I don't even give a shot about silent patrols at this point the real aggravating thing is the fucking beastmen they have the mass of the chaos and the numbers of the skaven can have like three banners go off at once and fucking falcon punch your jaw off and no one at fatshark saw that as a potential problem. Oh and they won't fix it cuase of the weave leader boards like anybody gives a fuck about a thing you have to cheese because they introduced power scaling into the weaves.
For whatever twisted fucked up reason, my steam cloud was disabled. So when vermintide 2's cancer update came out and for whatever reason fried my steam client, when I reinstalled steam I lost hundreds of hours of data from a ton of games.
So this may or may not be an option for me. I really hope so though, I'm gonna check right now and see.
DRG has cloud saves on Steam though. How did you lose your progress?
That fucking blows man, F for all those saves
See here not sure why it happened. My steam account is OLD AS FUCK so it's possible I never even turned on Steam Cloud when it first became an option. But I just didn't have it. Sad.
Oh, that's some crap. Can't blame you for dropping it then. There's a reason they removed losing your progress after prestiging, no one wants to go through their Greenbeard stage again when they barely have any upgrades unlocked and have to grind out minerals and gold again. Hope you can get it back somehow.
why do people not just let the miner beeline for the dorpship at the end and follow him?
How can you tell when shits in the walls?
Leeches make noise, and there's a perk that gives you a HUD element for when they're reaching for you.
little bits of the mineral are sticking out like crystals.
like a really common one is jade, if you see little bits of green crystals sticking out, just dig straight into it. then look for a glowing wall or something. then you'll find a huge fat chunk of ore.
If you have the helper bot, just ctrl click the wall.
Didn't you see though user? Vermintide 2 is going to be saved. Apparently they're planning on adding another career for everyone in 2020 too.
Thanks user
Np, I discovered it on accident when I told my bot to shine a light on a wall.
To add to that, most of minerals in the walls have a noticeable glow. Turn off your flashlight to make it more visible.
They recently made Bosco also carry the mineral inside for you and drop it right into your hands. He used to just dig it out and leave it there, and if it was in a high wall it was annoying as hell because you had to go retrieve it yourself anyway.
cool, problem will be having multiple people not turn their flash light off.
Most minerals are still noticeable enough even with your headlight on or a flare around, except for Jadiz. That shit needs total fucking darkness for you to see where it is, or a Driller to just cut through the whole wall.
jeez are you me. I can't find any games i like anymore.
>almost everyone who isn't a scrub follows general a general etiquette + the game's fun.
It helps a lot that it's a small game with a somewhat niche community. That helps immensely with not attracting your average retard to the game, and its gameplay is niche enough that most ADHD kiddies will just drop it one or two missions in. At hazard 4 and above you have no griefers and no faggots of any sort, just everyone doing their jobs and occasionally "ROCK AND STONE"ing. Hell, even with the free weekend this time I still have managed to find enjoyable games with a bunch of Greenbeards.
Would love to play, but no friends and I refuse to play coop games with randos
Still can't get over WoM
Two queues
Chaos vs is toppest tier thanks to beasts
Cata forces 5% crit 5% att spd & swift slaying
Cata doesn't give you a better vault
Banner stacking can happen outside of the map
Throwing axes have only made ranger vet a liability instead of the usual dead weight
They should add dwarf tossing to this.
He's also known as Ellis' buddy Keith
>mfw taking down dreadnoughts in 2 seconds during only-gunners runs
Stacking 1 class has never been so entertaining.
Only issue I have so far is the voice acting and dialogue.
>cannon
>not for dmg
also why even bother with supression if an engineer nigger can just kill use flamer to kill shit faster than you
It has a charm to it. It reminds me a lot of what KF1 was like and how for granted I took the dialogue in that game to be until KF2 came along and sterilized everything.
I don't, though. I've been playing it for a while. It's fun.
Did you like Voice 1 or 2 more?
so iy's only free for another day and a half? or can I dl it now and keep it?
>people having problems with autocannon
What? Dreadnought missions are probably the only reason to bring Minigun.
Autocannon is much better at hordes, more ammoefficient, and doesn't give a fuck which way praetorian is looking with its armor break.
Plus your secondaries are both made for single-target.
The voice acting for the classes are literally the same lines, just pitched differently.
It's more of a problem that I feel like other classes are better at combat than gunner, I feel like flamershit does more dmg, other guns do more dmg, other classes grenades do more dmg. 80% of it may be confirmation bias tho
I believe 2 was the one Agent Wilkes had, so that one.
>I know! "You're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off"!
>Shoot the bitch! She's making my head spin!
>There's a kiss, bitch!
>Bog off you bastard!
>You can join in anytime!
>It's like shooting fish in a barrel!
>Do I have to kill every zombie myself?
>Oh crap, they hop too
>Do something or I'm screwed!
They need to rebuff the Minigun for fuck sakes. It was fantastic before because you could actually hold the line mowing down glypids with crits and acceptable damage. Now because it's inaccurate as fuck and the damage is shit even with upgrades the Minogin is pure garbage.
Imo, ammo efficiency is the big thing about gunner, noone else brings as much ammo as he does. Shield is a godsend too.
Driller might be close in ammo, but only vs smaller and crowded targets.
And no way flamer brings more damage than stabilised autocannon. Haven't played much minigun, I feel like it spends its ammo way faster.
Yeah, they need to either up Gunner's damage a bit, or give him more ammo and sustainability (larger drum size for the Cannon, or the Minigun heating up more slowly). As it is nearly every time I play Gunner and try to be the main horde killer I end up running into ammo problems where I'm barely surviving from Resupply Pod to Resupply Pod, or constantly having to stop firing because I can't kill the horde coming for my ass fast enough. I never have these problems with any other class, nor do I feel like I'm not pulling my weight in kills than if I had just played Gunner.
Same. I was a Dr. Gary Glover / Alfred Anderson man.
You used to be sble to mow down Hordes as the Ginner before. But they made the minigun damage shit even woth upgrades. And the accuracy, or lackthereof when you first start shooting is terrible.
I kind of miss it, since i havent played it since last fall but the shit i hear about it now just sounds awful. Another difficulty level, redoing the way melee and dodges work.
Was the PVP announcement an april fools thing? Or is that real?
Speaking of buffs, grenade launcher is useless, isn't it? Even after nerf (I remember two-shotting praetorians with plasma breacher, now it's at least 3 shots), plasma is way better at killing big stuff (and acceptable at clearing crowd) and you have way more toys for crowd than for big bugs.
I find it's great for getting large groups of little guys off your back.
Grenade launcher used to remove huge groups of grunts in a single shot, but then haz 5, guards, and slashers became a thing and now you have to put all the upgrades into damage instead of aoe and it doesn't always kill guards. Still my favorite weapon, but I'll play any game that gives me an m79 style weapon.
Throw a LURE down and wipe out 20 grunts with a single shot. GL is still amazing on engineer. Leave the big guys to gunner and scout.
Pretty sure half of that is being fixed. Emporium is finally coming out and Drachenfels is being released for free.
GUNNERS STOP FUCKING MINING
DRILLERS STOP WASTING ALL YOUR AMMO
SCOUTS STOP HOARDING YOUR FLARES
ENGINEERS I'VE PINGED THIS WALL FIFTY FUCKING TIMES WHERE IS MY PLATFORM
>DRILLERS STOP WASTING ALL YOUR AMMO
youtube.com
DRG needs significantly more shilling
For free weekend fags
>Gunner kills warriors/grunts/trawlers, and throws down ziplines
>Engie kills mactera, stuns enemies, and puts up platforms
>Scout kills big bugs, does most of the mining, and lights up caves
>Driller kills swarmers/naedocytes/breeders, makes stairs/bunkers, and drills to the pod at the end
If everybody does their job hazard 5 is easy
Love this game. They keep adding shit to it, and i've played for over 50 hours and not have gotten bored. Sure, i'm a shill for exploration and procedural generation, but god damn it, FOR KARL!
Its just one of the devs doing the voicework. All of the voicework is him, just pitched and sped differently.
As a new player, what's the best upgrades to aim for?
>scout is the specials hunter
glad my intuition didn't betray me
Honestly, message the devs and see if they can't cut you some kind of break.
Only applies if you've unlocked the M1000. Upgraded for focus it's a heavy hitting sniper rifle.
It depends, what class do you play.
You should have the most reliable long range option with either primary and then you have severe burst damage with both secondaries and the m1000. Scout can also light up the ceiling to pick off those pesky spitting shites.
I can't play because the unreal shit games keep telling me I don't have Visual Studio 2015 installed when I do.
Haven't really decided on one yet but been using the Gunner so far.
What's your favorite gun, Yea Forums? Mine is the M-1000
>*PING*
Mining is the most peaceful, and Elimination is more about conserving ammo between multiple boss fights.
The others are all good choices. Extraction has frequent swarms, grabbing an egg spawns enemies (or a swarm), and Salvage always ends in two big hordes.
Looks like trash
There's a perk for reduced fall damage + Scout has an armor upgrade for reducing fall damage (but extra shield is better).
They do, unless they're just trying to challenge themselves to make it back without the easy Driller strat (or they're stupid/not paying attention to the Driller). Scout make it on his own, easily.
>Cataclysm doesn't give a better vault
Fatshart really is filled with retards. Legend was already hard enough; it's where you'd go to gamble your skill against the game's bugs.
I loved Vermintide 1, but Fatshark almost never pulls their shit together.
Microtransaction cosmetics, too, I hear. Cancer.
L4D with level modifiers based on objective, tunnel/level complexity and level length, plus the classes and the weapon unlocks/character unlocks, and a prestige system that doesn't punish you for doing it. I've played with nothing but randoms for a long length of time and had no complaints. Plus, the game keeps getting content every month. Also, every class is worth playing for one reason or another.
The purity of the community will be diluted by the influx of new players now and at release, but it's necessary. The game itself will only get better.
Risk of Rain 2's update, Deep Rock's update, Heroes of Hammerwatch getting a new DLC soon... Good times.
Then play solo with Bosco until you're good enough to keep up with the good randos in Haz 4 and 5. Most randos aren't stupid, and I've almost never run into true idiots and griefers. Maybe once in several dozen matches.
The cannon lets projectile-based weapons do more damage, user.
Driller is the one with the flamethrower, which is more for damage over time and clearing out the weakest enemies than raw damage.
Cannon's not for everyone; use the minigun if you want to kill things outright. It's a solid choice in any mission.
Gunner still feels like the weakest class
On hazard 5 I feel like bad times are coming if I don't have a scout, engi, and driller but unless its a dreadnaught level gunner always feels optional
Are you sure you didn't mean the Cannon? Minigun is great. Probably the highest DPS in the game after the M1000 (with perfect aim and full charge) and much more forgiving. The Minigun's accuracy is pretty good nowadays if you're actually keeping it revved. Try using Hot Bullets for even more damage.
Engi's noob tube, it's just so spammable and great at both horde clear and armor removal. Clumping bugs up with decoy then getting 30 kills with a single grenade is just the best.
Plasma Cutter is better for concentrated damage; Grenade Launcher spreads it out a bit and provides some crowd control.
Auto-Cannon
it shits on hordes equipped with ammo bags, fear and AoE radius upgrades
watching them bugs run away wihout armor its so satifying
even more hearing their screams
Probably the Experimental Plasma Charger. Capable of taking on any enemy type in the game due to its versatility; just a little tight on ammo. I like using something more interesting than conventional bullets, shotguns, etc.
I hope that some sort of acid hose weapon gets added. I remember using one while playing with bots in Conker: Live and Reloaded.
This is true. The minigun buff helped a lot, but zip lines aren't as good as the other movement utilities, Driller has better crowd control, and Scout has better single-target damage. Meanwhile, Engie can put out damage in three different directions at once. Gunner's shield is is only real saving grace outside of some occasional great zip line setups, particularly in Extractions.
tempted to try this game out, anyone here willing to team up with me as i dont wanna try solo?
There are a few tutorial levels. When you are playing solo you are given an invincible flying robot called bosco that has infinite ammo, can drill areas for you, fire rockets, revive you (limited uses) and light up areas.
Its actually one of the smarter features put into the game lacking from its peers.
Sure, I'm willing to hold you hand user.
I'm having fun with this game but it seems like it's gonna get boring pretty quick with the lack of enemy variety.
i played this a while ago when there was a free weekend and it felt like you spent way too much time just walking. there needed to be more enemies or more ore with faster mining
scout's fall damage upgrade is in its own tier though
>require the same timesink
u fokken wot
>Bulky spawns when you have to hold the fuelrod cap point
and uninstalled
>it's less buggy
no lmao
gimme your best dressed dwarf
Make Deep Rock great again.
I love Mark 2 Driller so much.
I remember them breaking the bomb miss lines at least twice, too.
My real problem is the fact they want to keep neutering tactics that make it easier, without grasping that people only abuse cheap tactics because it’s the only reliable way to win due to the clusterfuck of bugs.
Don't even try to bull shit us brother HH
I have two different minigun builds depending on who I'm playing with.
22122 if you're playing solo or with randoms
32312 if you're playing with a good team
First build let's you stay mobile and burst down tough targets
Second build gives you more range and you can skewer enemies when playing in a bunker
Drills with cooldown on hitting enemies, you can heal with vampire perk when using them, they stun almost everything including reeeeeee hoarders and pretorians on top of making enemies flee when you hit them. Good for digging and getting yourself out of shitty situations.
It is fun but $35 for EA is a no.
do I get to keep my progress once the free day expires and I decide to buy it later on?
Do you get any bonus for collecting objective minerals like morkite even after you've completed them?
FOR KARL
WHERE MY DIGGERS AT?
ye, I assume steam cloud should cover you if you ever change PC or hard drive fails
Makesure you back this stuff up on an usb or something if you want to be really safe steamcommunity.com
so what weapons are good then
I think there is some, but the bonus is very small compared to collecting actually valuable stuff.
What do you prefer on Scout? +5 Shields, or +20 health for armor upgrade.
>1-4 player co-op
>have no friends
>FPS
bleh
yeah, seems like a pretty ridiculous price tag for another 4 man horde shooter
I think you can get away with every weapon, there's nothing that can be called irredeemable. But the worst loadout possible is probably scout with shotgun and m1000 (and no ammo upgrades), there's just too little ammo on those two combined.
Huh?
It's only $30 normally, and $20 right now on sale.
Nvm, I'm a retard. Plus it's cheap in roubles.
+5 shields on every class outside of no shield missions
Played on the last free weekend, game seems a bit repetitive for me.
Old bugs reappear because the in-dev build 99 precent of the time is based of old code from an older build, so they'll add features and compile an update and push, JUST TO THEN REALISE, OH SHIT, SILENT PATROLS AGAIN NIGGA
As much as I like the shotgun and how satisfying it feels, it runs out way too fast.
New bosses when?
There's a build guide on the steam community forums, I used one of the autocannon builds and now I can shred the armour and health of a Dreadnought with ease
>Have gunner hold down the point
>Someone kites it while scout kills it
Easy
>Nope, it's even worse because some levels have hazards which require you to shoot as well. Literally an ammo sink.
Use your pick, or if its a bee hive tell Bosco to rape it.
>team work
Woop woop
This is why bulks are the best enemy in the game. You can't just hug it with your gun to win.
Team work and beer will keep us together.
Every objective item you collect past the goal amount is worth ~1/8th the exp. It's generally not worth it. Time and ammo is far more valuable.
Driller is suffering with randoms
>His entire kit is built around teamplay and utility
>when you nuke the entire swarm with lure+grenade launcher combos
feels good man
>mule takes some absurd path up a wall back to the drop pod that only the scout can follow directly
>map start mob rush is all detonators
>shieldless mission on Fungus Bogs/Magma Core
>playing anyone but scout on Dense Biozone
>people keep running in front of the Driller when a swarm is approaching
>bulk detonator spawns during the final phases of a salvage mission
>that guy who takes multiple ammo restores from a pod before everyone can take one
You're damn right I'm gonna take two when I have more kills than the rest of the team combined.
>mule takes some absurd path up a wall back to the drop pod that only the scout can follow directly
just use your map or makesure you never supply drop through a tunnel back to the ship
>ANY mission on magma core
FTFY
What are the best perks to have?
Glacial strata is way worse. Magma core can be annoying, but at least there are no jellyfishes.
Iron Will is a must
Do you have to talk in this game? I don't like talking.
Tried two games, it was fun but not my cup of tea.
They're both fucking awful
>dude the ground is lava lmao
>dude snow everywhere lmao
Well, yeah. This sub-genre of horde-based co-op shooters isn't about a campaign; it's about replaying set mission types with different variables at play.
DRG does procedurally generated levels, randomized mutator availability, and randomized enemy type presence + player customization for variety. You're supposed to keep playing to earn new goodies while never running into the exact same situation twice— there's always a different cave layout, resource spawn, enemy mix, etc.
>Thanks, since I live in SEA I think I'll have trouble finding or joining sessions
another SEA user here, I play it from time to time and don't have major issues with lack of players. I get full lobbies of randos about half the time I play, which for a niche multiplayer game in SEA is fucking top tier.
I love how they force the team to scatter (and survive without being picked off) or die. I hope the devs add in more enemies that are mobile and capable of big AOE damage. I'm guessing machine events will bring something along those lines.
>>that guy who takes multiple ammo restores from a pod before everyone can take one
That's me as scout :^)
Don't wanna strain your eyes, m8, let me light that up for you.
Scout desperately needs more ammo
>Burn through my zhukov and m1000 in 60s
>>that guy who takes multiple ammo restores from a pod before everyone can take one
fine if it's the scout getting a ton of flares, lose my shit if it's a gunner running the resupplier perk to reload his auto cannon with a resupply and refuses to ever use his zip-lines
>Coop
Fuck, having no friends sucks because this game looks kinda cool
Yea Forums lobbies when
>Lack of mod support is a big one.
mod support has been out for the last week
>They nerfed kicking so parry turtling
They buffed the kick speed
>fucking horses
You're just bad at the game
>Vermintide
>L4D
>take your time
lmao no you go as fast as possible through the level or get fucked by attrition, I don't know why all games like this are designed to punish you for going slow. VT2 rewards you for not getting hit while going fast, if you get hit you die, if you go slow you get hit more, simple geometry
I love the flamethrower, but it kinda sucks for me. The flame beam is tiny, the ammo/kill ratio is too high for my taste even in hordes and the ammo per tank is ridiculous
The cryocannon is better in almost every way, but I like to burn shit
I'm reallt enjoying this game but I don't think mu friends qill get it. 18 bucks for it do sound good.
Ant small discord server? I hate big ones
This is completely false.
Driller is more capable of independent work than any class other than Scout, and that's only because Scout's mobility makes him practically invincible in the right hands + it's not limited by ammo. Driller can reach almost any location via drilling, has the best horde clearing of any class, and has good single-target damage with his secondaries. Glyphid AI takes time to respond to Driller digging, which means he's practically unkillable as long as he has fuel and keeps his sense of direction.
Engineer and Gunner are the classes built around teamplay. Neither one has on-demand movement; their mobility tools are based around benefiting teammates more than themselves. Turrets are great— for supportive fire. The shield is great— for clutch revives.
Driller's more team-oriented than Scout, for sure, because his mobility benefits the entire team. Still, he has enough fuel to use his drills as he pleases (unless you've specced them for melee), and, unlike Scout, Driller can effectively deal with any threat.
>scout marks some mineral on a wall somewhere then fucks off before the engineer can put a platform like he expects someone else to get it
Flamethrower is terrible on its own. It's best used for killing swarmers and naedocytes and applying debuffs/burn to everything else. You need your gunner to do the rest.
>has the best horde clearing of any class
at the cost of being incredibly inefficient if you try to kill anything bigger than a grunt and his secondaries are absolute dogshit what are you on about?
the mods support is just a way for people to download custom maps through the game, it's a good start though
Horses also got nerfed now that the damage boost with the horses momentum applies to someone attacking the horse/rider
L4D yea ammo is your life blood, V2 playing defensively is a lot safer with the only threat that requires you to waste precious ammo being specials and sometimes bosses if you want to kill them quickly, BUT Ranger, Waystalker, Shade and Sienna have a reliable way to constantly sustain their ammo with little effort and be very effective at sniping specials. That's just listing careers that are brain dead simple to sustain ammo. With conservative shooter you can make any weapon good at sniping specials self sustainable
>Get a/play Driller or use the map + your class' mobility tools
>Stay in the pod for the initial mob clearing
>You chose to play with a difficult mutator
>Dense Biozone isn't some magical Scouts-only wonderland, what're you on about?
>And?
>Bulks focus on one target at a time, same as any other enemy, and you only need one person on the objective. Lure it away, freeze it, electrocute it, or just kill it before it reaches your team— salvage final objectives almost always spawn near an open area. Drillers can make more space, and Engineers can make floating islands.
>That guy's an asshole or a newbie, and I've rarely run into anyone that bad in almost 200 hours of play.
Less nagging, more playing.
ammo is not the concern in VT2, it's your health, the slower you go the more likely you are to get hit, that's just a fact
Kills aren't everything. They won't mean shit if you take Driller's fuel right before evacuating at the end of the mission, for example. Usually, Engineer gets the most kills, but that doesn't mean he needs 2x the ammo of other players.
>But I play Scout! I can escape alone!
Better hope you don't fuck up while you're waiting for Molly to show up for several minutes, facing enemies balanced around having 4 live dwarfs.
Is it worth to mine a lot of minerals or speed is best?
Iron Will is not negotiable. Vampire means you don't need to rely on red sugar, ammo, or a revive when you go into Iron Will, so I'd never go without Vampire.
Besides those two, Weekend Athlete is pretty necessary; enemies are pretty fast and are going to hit you more if you're slow. Field Medic means less time being a sitting duck at the worst possible time— when there's one less teammate watching your back (the one you're reviving). Impact Compensators are good because fall damage is pretty significant.
Heightened Senses can be helpful, but you're better off just getting good at checking for leeches. They hiss while reaching for you, and they don't respawn.
Deep Pockets can save you some time running between resources and depositing.
Resupplier is dumb; you shouldn't be running out of ammo during combat (when you'd need those precious few seconds it saves you).
Veteran Depositor is bad for the time-saving, but it might have potential for damage reduction. Haven't tried it, personally.
Berzerker is for memeing. You should avoid being at low health.
Zip Line Motor is generally bad because Gunner is probably the least played class and you won't spend enough time on a zip line to get much benefit from the speed. You can go faster by repeatedly jumping forward and reattaching to the line, especially if you're going downhill.
Strong Arm isn't really needed outside of maybe revealing leeches more easily when you don't have Bosco or a Scout handy. Don't bother.
Strong Back is pointless; you can go much faster by throwing large objects ahead of you.
It's A Bug Thing shouldn't be taken. You can just kill loot bugs with your pick or a few shots with most weapons.
Sweet Tooth is a decent option; it can pull you through bad situations when nitra is scarce.
Not really. Very few players bother to try using voice chat, and you have a laser pointer for pinging things, with context-sensitive dwarf dialogue. Most players know what they're doing once you get into higher difficulties, so if you ping, they usually know what you want them to do with whatever you pinged.
NEW UPDATE WHEN
HIGHER DIFFICULTY WHEN
im tired playing haz 5, its too easy
i want more forced group dynamic
Play solo with the drone (Bosco) or randos. Most players are friendly and competent.
Stop relying on the direct damage if you want to save ammo. Set things on fire and follow up with the Subata pistol while kiting; the pistol even has a mod for doing more damage to burning bugs. It has ridiculous ammo reserves. Also, don't forget your grenades. And detpacks. And drills. And pickaxe, particularly the power attack. Drilly boy has more offensive options than anyone else.
His secondaries are for killing things bigger than grunts, genius— unless you learn to kite while bugs are burning to death (or just freeze big bugs for amplified damage against a harmless target). The Subata has low DPS but practically infinite ammo; learn to headshot if you can't kite. The plasma charger is almost as good as the minigun and M1000 for single-target damage. I can understand why it's hard to appreciate the Subata, but calling the plasma charger dogshit is like saying Scout's grapple gun is dogshit. You'd have to be fucking retarded to call either one bad.
Finishing objectives is generally going to be more efficient than dicking around to get every scrap.
Mining missions and anything with double XP are the exceptions. Double XP amplifies every XP source, so it's better to milk that bonus (unless you want to redo the exact same mission before a new set of missions are generated). Mining missions are generally short, linear, low on bugs, and always spawn loot-dense "treasure rooms" at the end, plus Dark Morkite allows you to get more morkite from each vein. Everything you deposit gives you XP (except maybe bittergems, which are rare and give tons of money instead), and you have to deposit that extra Morkite.
This month. Deep Dives.
I'm using a weapon to enjoy it, not compliment another.
4 grenades isn't that much, 3 detpacks aren't either.
My drills are modded for digging, not for killing.
The pickaxe power attacks cooldown is rather long, even modded to lower it.
If at least the flames lasted until the death of the glyphid it latched unto. The damage per tick could be increased
>one player left alive during the evacuation
>he decides to damn us and the mission and revive someone instead of saving himself and the mission
NO DWARF LEFT BEHIND
Is this game fun with randoms?
Seems really fun but probably best with 3 friends and I only have 1 that would play.
Yes. Most people have been playing the game long enough that they understand what to do and how to do it.
played 7 hours and got bored on the previous free weekend
played 7 hours and got bored on this free weekend
Depends, I hate running missions with randoms low levels at hazard 3 and below they just rush the primary and get evac. I've had fun runs with randoms in hazards 3 and 4 mainly cause everyone is at a high level and know their shit. I'm also in NZ, people here and Aussies are pretty chill 99% of the time
the combat/enemies just don't feel visceral enough.
Vermintide 2 for example has extremely meaty feeling combat but has absolutely brain dead devs. Deep Rock seems to have quality devs but the core of the game doesn't feel as satisfying. Wish VT2 could just be given to Deep Rock devs to provide updates to.
Even with free weekend, can be hard t find a decent server in my region.
This game is way too expensive for the repetitive content, the numbers are going to drop very hard after the weekend.
I am not going to buy a dead game.
Its only multiplayer game with destructible levels which is not focused on crafting and its a shame its dead.
The only one I know in this genre with real darkness too.
Maybe devs should go f2p with purchasable cosmetics and p2p connection.
The current model is clearly not working.
