Yo, wtf happened? The 2v2 modewas boring, but the gameplay actually felt good.

What did they change? Now it feels exactly like the previous trash CoD games. I'm so fucking disappointed because I actually considered buying it, but after this trash beta, I probably won't be anymore.

Reddit and ecelebs complained so they changed it.

I enjoyed the Night mode, it was actually fun, it got kinda boring after everyone started spamming those 10+ killstreaks.

>What did they change?
Minimap.

they made the ttk literally instant
changes they made like the minimap and such were good but having 0 time to react when getting shot at feels really shitty
no more prowling around the map and flanking, you gotta play it like r6 siege now, very slow and methodical and constantly hugging cover

>ttk literally instant
I wish they would fuck off with this, the older games had it almost perfect, just enough health to survive your gunfights and not this modern meat grinder

>no more prowling around the map and flanking, you gotta play it like r6 siege now, very slow and methodical and constantly hugging cover

Sounds based. The retard tier sub-70IQ unga-bunga run forward and shoot whoever is unfortunate enough to pop up in front of you until you're shot in the back by someone else doing the same thing that the maps have been made for for nearly ten years now can fuck off, frankly.

>no more prowling around the map and flanking, you gotta play it like r6 siege now, very slow and methodical and constantly hugging cover
Not a bad thing, I played it like that and it got me good streaks overall, now they added the minimap and people are just sprinting like chicken everywhere.

Wished they just make a separate game mode where all huds are turned off for real.

>Wished they just make a separate game mode where all huds are turned off for real.

Hardcore mode.

Is the details out already? I thought they|re going to try something new with the mode this time?

while I agree that running around like a retard no longer being a viable option is good, that means peakers have a massive advantage
dying from some guy who turned the corner and instantly gibbed you before you even saw him on your screen is hot garbage

There are still strategies and options to counter that, no?

>dying from some guy who turned the corner and instantly gibbed you before you even saw him on your screen is hot garbage
That seems to be more of a problem with PS4's limited FOV and inability to perform flicking rather than the game itself.

yeah, hiding in cover and camping entrances
ie very boring and slow

Wait, they put back the minimap because of reddit?
AHAHAHAHAHA

Counter Strike got TTK perfectly :
4/5 bullets and you are dead BUT you need to control your recoil
The problem with cod is that there's no recoil, so first to see is the first to win

yeah but when you shoot it won't pinpoint your location, you only see enemy fire general direction which is probably the best but I wouldn't be surprised if shitters bitched enough to turn minimap back completely

>yeah but when you shoot it won't pinpoint your location
That was already the case in MW2 iirc.
That's why mini map ruin everything, you spend half of your time looking at it to know where the enemies are.
Because of that you always use a silencer.

I don't know about reddit, but the complaints are everywhere on the internet. A shame that before they're adding the game feels significantly different for having that uncertainty with the situational awareness. It's back to being arcade-y now.

>so first to see is the first to win

80% of the time, but not always, either way there's nothing wrong with that.

They got the audience they deserve. Honestly it already felt almost like an average CoD even during the alpha.
I will simply pray that Ready Or Not won't be shit, otherwise i'm done with fps.

the minimap is back, but you DON'T see enemies when they make any sort of ruckus, only with UAV/other killstreaks
you have Fallout/TES style compass above and you can see from which direction the shooting came, that's it

>they added the radar back because retards are literally too unaware to play without it
Damn i was actually thinking of buying this

Yes it's wrong because the skill is only about map knowledge, knowing how the enemies spawn, watching the mini map.
It's less like that in CS.

>Ready Or Not
Cool, I'm actually keeping my eyes for this game too, you don't play Tarkov?

Yea but the fact that you can see the enemy shooting with red dots on the map, w/o any killstreak is too much.

>I actually considered buying it
Why the fuck would you buy a CoD game in 2019? You are willingly slurping up the games industrys diarrhea.

Attached: 3max.jpg (497x712, 49K)

Nope, i don't even have a (gaming) PC anymore.
I'm waiting for a good game (or the nextgen), to buy a new one.

bo4's ttk was unironically good
aimlets need to get better

I remember in Black Ops usually about 4-5 out of 6 people used Ghost perk since Stopping Power was no longer a thing and rest of the perks were shit, so Recon plane was more of a liability than help so it might be the case again.

Please tell me there's a core gamemode that gets rid of that disgustingly intrusive HUD. Hardcore gameplay looks sexy as fuck but I don't necessarily like dying with 1 or 2 bullets.

...but you can't?

Well that's good then, i misread.

There are tactical realism mode and hardcore mode, but I didn't see further information about them. Until then, just wait.

Brainlets needs to off themselves for enjoying garbage like call of duty.

Which older games had slow TTK? Do you mean CoD4 with most weapons literally killing in 2 hits? Or one hit kill rifles in CoD2?

So as a I take it there are no more red dots on the minimap except for when a UAV is active. So what's the point of silencers now?

see

also, silencers are far more realistic and doesn't cut your effective range in half anymore

Yes, but the red dot chasing retards are still out there complaining about the current state of the minimap, perhaps it will return to normal by the time the game hit is released, who knows.

first to see always wins at any competent level in CS.

sounds like you're comparing babby's first time playing CoD and babby's first time playing CS

I dunno probably silencing your gun

So is IW going to lose their balls and change everything during the PS4 console peasant weekend, or will PC players actually get to test things out as well.

I've already heard complaints of shit being degraded since the alpha such as sounds or little details like gun smoke removed.
Just wanna see some fresh takes on the game before it all collapses again.

Attached: 1566428820896.png (511x505, 306K)

next beta weekend is in 2 weeks and will be cross platform between ps, xbox and pc
can't say much about downgrades since 2v2 bored me to death so I played it for like 30 minutes, but gun smoke is still in I believe

Cheeky cunt, they barely did that in the past decade of CoD games so it doesn't sound as smart as you thought. If that will indeed be the case, then how much will they silence it? How close do you have to be to hear the shots? Can you still tell the direction they're coming from with a headset?

Isn't there still a compass in the game that shows direction of gunfire. I assume invisible to that.

can someone please tell me how to sprint like is my controller fucked up? i tap l3 but he only sprints for .0003 ms, I have to hold it down and even then i cant sprint. if i can fucking sprint properly i will dominate

just tested with other games, they definitely fucked this up. im really pissed i cant fucking sprint yet somehow i seem to be the only one with this problem

I said it was less like that in CS which is true. You have to manage your recoil.

>can't sprint in CoD
>is my controller fucked up?
>tests other games
>still can't sprint
>yep, they fucked it up, WOOOOW
Get a new controller retard.

That loses pretty easily to grenades.

Will the actual release look the same as the beta? Im curious if they're downgrading the graphics for the beta

I've had problems with sprinting in some fps games and most of the time, it's due to server issues. When the server is behind and lagging, it won't be able to register your sprint request and kick you back into walking speed.

mostly mw2 and BO1

>CS got TTK perfectly
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Also
>CS
>Recoil
Ahahahahaha

>2006+13
>still playing CoD MP

Attached: 1378859051151.png (334x393, 134K)

>AHAHAHAHAHA
Nice argument there.

A lot of people complained about the absence of the minimap, saying that it will lead to more camping.
It's a dumb argument since anybody can launch a UAV to show the minimap to the entire team.

I never mind camping. Perhaps because they were always easy to kill. It adds fun to the game, like "how i'm going to get that guy who's hidding here".
It's also why you use smoke grenade (at least in BFBC2).

>>tests other games
>>still can't sprint
thats wrong retard. learn how to read, it works in other games

The absolute state of CoD virgins.

Remember how good the guns felt in the alpha? They nerfed all of them and they feel like peashooters again

Oh, so that's why Battlefield V is the better game.

Jesus this is the kind of shittery that the devs are listening to and has created the last nearly decade of CoD failures.

There is something wrong with that because it essentially turns the game into who sees who first (hide and seek) rather than who outguns who (actual gun fighting)

>WAHHHH HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO BRAINLESSLY HOLD FORWARD ON MY THUMBSTICK AND RUN AND GUN IF MY FIELD OF VIEW ISN'T JUST ONE PREDETERMINED LANE IN FRONT OF ME ELIMINATING THE NEED TO AIM AT ALL

Did the devs really add a fucking mini map because so many people bitched about it? Fucking why? Not having shit clutter the screen was actually good.

Who sees who first is a legitimate form of skill as well if the maps are designed around it. Shooters can be weighted on a gradient of pre and post contact skill or balanced between the two.

>Pre-contact skills: Positioning, situational awareness, spawn knowledge, map knowledge, attentiveness, caution, reflex, weapon pickups, stealth, patience, predicting enemy movement...

>Post-contact skills: Mobility, on the move aiming, weapon management, weapon countering, improvisation, use of immediate cover, grenade placement, movement reads...

Games with higher TTK have heavier weighted reward towards post-contact skills, and gameswith shorter TTK are weighted towards your pre-contact skills. Most games have some balance between the two. For example, Quake's map management and pre-arming with power weapons and other things and then fast paced shooting post-contact is a balance. The extremes I could think of would be more like CoD Hardcore Mode and Halo.

>CoD Hardcore: Everyone dies in one shot, both you and your opponent, meaning your life depends on your ability to be unseen, predict enemy positions, move around the map efficiently and in the least exposed manner possible, be constantly ready to quickfire a chance encounter, know where you can fire through walls, etc.

>Halo: Everyone has a fairly lengthy shield and health bar, and most encounters will test your ability to jump, aim, melee, close or create distances, use vertically, aim while doing all of this, place grenades based on enemy movement reads.

>>still can't sprint
I was referring to IRL, ya fat bastard.

>People sperging about a minimap added even tho it doesn't show dots on firing

So what?

I like LMG's

Attached: 1433285452214.jpg (600x450, 31K)

Then it's a waste of space. If it doesn't function as it used to, there's no reason for it. People only ever looked at it before because it used to ping enemies when they would fire.

It helps with knowing the maps. If it isn't functional turn it off or play HC

There's dismemberment

If you need a mini map to learn the maps you might be braindead.

>What did they change? Now it feels exactly like the previous trash CoD games.

Because its not a shitty 2v2 anymore

But mw2 had a short ttk as well.
Leave the long ttk to fucking EA, tired of long gunfights.

They didn't change ttk you're just used to short rounds in 2v2

so is it good or nah

it's gonna get worse.

Yeah it's good.

another cod game with absolute shit shotguns, why was mw2 the only game that got it right

This has the best shottys in the series what are you on?

the highest damaging shotgun only one shot's when your shoving it down the dudes throat how is that good? the 725 doesnt even shoot fast enough for you to get the second kill shot off.
