Final Fantasy VII Remake

>Entire first episode is just Midgar
>First 6 hours of the original game into ~30 hours minimum, guaranteeing filler and "Compilation" shit
>Producer admitted he has no idea how they're going to tackle the rest of FF7's world
>Episode 1 ALONE will have taken almost five years to come out since its announcement

I don't wanna accept it either, but it's time to face facts Yea Forums. Final Fantasy VII Remake will be a disappointment.

Don't forget that they have to design a completey open overworld in part II. Fundamentally different compared to linear corridors of Midgar

There's no point comparing them at this point. This is a totally new game that just happens to have similar characters and story to FF7.

Xbox fans don't exist anymore why are you bothering?

Holy shit took you long enough to realize

Attached: 12b.png (1199x630, 1.19M)

I have the lowest expectations. This will be a commercial failure when the hype (frist part) ends

I want to see this dumpster fire crash down

>they have to

Please elaborate. Why would they be making whole world map playable?

How many Doomer tortanic threads have been made about this game already? How many of them are by the same poster?

Attached: 1522895663328.jpg (230x207, 10K)

>he genuinely believes that an EPISODIC game is going to have any moment that isn't 100% on the rails
lmfao

Watch it become the highest selling Final Fantasy game and highest selling Square game of all time, gramps

Attached: smugengar.jpg (500x475, 57K)

At least 2 of the current threads are his and this one might be too with him trying to tone it down

SQUARE
REDEMPTION
ARC

This. It should've been called FF7 Retold instead. That way they can do whatever without meeting any expectations.

Don't own an Xbox. Also forgot this in my OP post but the new versions of the soundtrack are SOULLESS as fuck, at least if the trailers and little bits of footage we've seen so far.

The best thing I can say about it is that they got Barret's talking style right, but even then his voice isn't angry enough. He's a grumpy motherfucker in the beginning.

Why does avatarfagging even exist, how did Yea Forums become so pathetic that they need to create boogeyman to prevent people from having a different opinion? Whatever happened to the “I will say whatever the fuck i want, if you don’t like it you can eat shit” mindset of this board?

Whatcha gonna do
Whatcha gonna do when Genesis appears and reads his gay poetry at you

Attached: genesis.jpg (800x445, 62K)

Just get rid of the open world. There's barely anything in it besides the next game location anyway.

Redditors invaded

Most overrated fucking album of all time

So what's going to be the arc of Part 2? Do we end at Dyne and Barrett confrontation before The Gold Saucer? Do we end at Gold Saucer? Do we end at Cosmo Canyon? There's no way the second game can be all the way to Temple/City of The Ancients

>Producer admitted he has no idea how they're going to tackle the rest of FF7's world
This is most concerning

They're going to make it like FFX
Good by open world, hello hallway world

>source: OP's ass

all i'm interested in knowing is whether or not the SOLDIER chad with the mullet is going to be playable.

They better use the classic world map -style overworld. It gives you the sense that you're adventuring through a huge World and it doesn't waste your time.

It'll be a linear FF15 style map at the very best.

Final Fantasy VII was the most expensive game in history when it came out and to this day it's 5th most expensive game in history (counting both production and marketing expenses).
A full scale remake with cutscenes, dialogues, new models etc. is literally impossible to make.
Just literally think about it. How will they remake the Highwind and exploration with it etc.?
It's dead, jim. Before it was even out.

PS1 FF style remake of FF6 when?

Its expected, there is the actual way to do it which will take another 10 years if they blow up each area with the care Midgar is getting. Or they do FFX hallways for overworld and each areas is like the original and its absolutely possible.

When you leave Midgar, there is absolutely nothing on the overworld to do except go to Kalm, then the Chocobo Ranch, then the Swamp with the Zolom into the Mithril Cave/Mine. You turn that entire thing into a hallway since there is no reason for going to the beach north of Midgar yet. FF7 disc 1 is extremely linear, and you could honestly get away with doing the airship like FFX possibly but showing the airship move within the world like FFXV.

gamesradar.com/final-fantasy-7-remake-midgar-only/
>"At that point, we decided we're going to focus this game on Midgar and what happened in Midgar. And unfortunately, we can't say anything more about the future games after that, because we don't know ourselves, really. We really are still fleshing out that process and fleshing out what we're going to do for the second game in the project, and what kind of story is going to be in that, so we really can't tell you."
And this was as of June of this year.

Yeah almost forgot that Square Enix is a small indie company who can't afford doing such thing

Never because FF6 is an overrated mediocre game

Can we put the shitposting aside for a second and ask ourselves how the fuck the remake is going to handle the original's weird abstractions? Shit like Cloud and Tifa watching their memories, and scenes that rely on you being able to see multiple rooms at once.

>we're fleshing it out now, so we can't tell you
>absolutely no idea bro, zero, literally a blank board
Right

>Final Fantasy VII Remake will be a disappointment.
It's censored shit, it's already a disappointment.

got FF7 with a Playstation for my 12th birthday after seeing all the commercials during WWF Monday Night RAW/Warzone

was my first final fantasy and I'm liking what I see of this game so far.

wonder if they'll update the minigames or keep them as is. I'd be fine with either honestly, be a nice throwback to keep the minigames as they were

Attached: ffviisb.jpg (646x506, 30K)

I feel like mostly everything that wasn't combat or essential to the story is going to get cut.

Attached: gfg.jpg (480x360, 19K)

I am pretty sure I saw an original blonde character in the trailer.

They’d need to literally change the camera angle for shit like temple of the ancients

There was one indeed. It might be one of those Sephiroth clones from Advent Children or something.

Considering they are still making this game, no shit they don't have the second game on board entirely. Its pre-planning which is normal.

If you FFX hallways for the overworld, and treat each area like the original and not add TOO much new stuff, you can get from Kalm to finishing Nibelheim in one game for sure. Every area is fucking short once you cut out the random encounters. A massive city/base like Junon is literally a boss fight on the fishing village, and a marching minigame up top. Its a 20 minute sequence

Did you not see the TGS trailer? They definately updated the workout minigamme and the scene you posted is in the trailer too

They almost went under a few years ago dude.

>mostly everything
I didn't say everything.

Attached: steamworkshop_webupload_previewfile_178103230_preview.jpg (1312x862, 250K)

Hey Barry, fuck off.

>How many Doomer tortanic threads have been made about this game already?
A lot

>How many of them are by the same poster?
I feel Barry, an infamous FFXV fanboy who has been caught ban evading, is the one that makes most of them

Attached: Untitled.png (1920x1030, 182K)

is2.Yea Forums.org/wsg/1568395995480.webm

We got SQUATS and the Snowboarding shit was part of the main story in FF7
With President Shinra being a hologram, I honestly expect Sephiroth to kill him before you get to the top which prompts Rufus showing up when he does out of nowhere. This might let them squeeze in the Nibelheim flashback into a more cinematic and even more linear sequence.

Stop acting like he does.

wouldn't be suprise if him and angeal are hidden boss desu

i want to trap mullet-kun in a mating press and pump him full of my semen!

See I'm ok with the President Shinra hologram cuz what was stopping barret from shooting his dick off in the original, it kinda makes more sense that he wouldn't be there in person

is it over the top with those robots projecting the oversized hologram? hell yes it is

Updated. The stream last night showed off the squatting minigame and it now uses the four face buttons in a rotating sequence that is displayed on screen at the start and gradually increases in speed, but slowly fades until it's gone entirely about 1/3rd of the way into the time limit and you have to do the rest blind. And the trailer showed off a variation of it that uses pullups instead, which wasn't in the original at all.

Can't be that hard to do. Just have the memory version play out in a cutscene like normal and splice ghost versions of Cloud and Tifa into it.

>Implying they thought that far ahead.
They didn't even plan for cross save, they're morons.

I'm sure they'll keep them. But my god do I hope they improve them, especially the snowboarding.

>tfw still gonna lose to the fucking rigged fighting game in Gold Saucer

Attached: hahastairs.jpg (783x829, 149K)

What about stuff like this

>They didn't even plan for cross save,
Are you sure the game would even benefit from that?

Attached: Sector5.jpg (512x512, 73K)

They didn't plan for cross save since it won't be a thing. People grinding to 99 in Midgar to port over would break the game. There is no branching paths. Part 2 starts you level-appropriate for the average run, all the materia even if you missed it and maybe upgraded somewhat, and all the weapons/armor/accessories.

It's not. The blonde guy is a SOLDIER, probably Rank 2.

What's the point of making it only midgard...?
FFVII is a whole package. And what is great about it is that it's an entire trip...
5 hours stretched into 30 oh my god

>I'm sure they'll keep them
They basically stopped making minigames in mainline titles starting at FF12.

Attached: gs-01.png (768x576, 225K)

>it kinda makes more sense
Hojo tries to impregnate Aerith with dog penis. Nothing about 7 makes sense. What matters is if it works as a scene or not.
That sounds terrible desu. It ruins the pace of the entire segment. They're shoving Sephy all over the rest of the scenario for game 1, so they're probably saving Nibelheim for a big pop on the reveal of game 2. That and Yufie/Vincent/Cait.

I know Barry spams a lot and reeeees at anything not XV, but 7R is honestly just not looking to turn out good. Better then XV, sure, but being a better turd doesn't make it not a turd.

>6 months til release

>No announcement of rereleases of compilation ie Crisis Core, Dirge of Cerberus

they'd make so much bank just porting those to PS4

Attached: Zack_Fair.jpg (605x563, 30K)

It makes it easier to stitch them together the gen after it's finished. Don't have to rebalance anything. Shit, they could have made a system where you swap discs to access extra content at the very end.

It'd be ballet, yeah, but you need to be ballet to market splicing a game as a good idea.

Dirge of Cerberus was a terrible game
Crisis Core was passable
I honestly wish they would retcon all the compilation crap and pretend it doesn't exist in the remake but we all know they won't do that

Yeah that is kind of dumb of them. They could have released those sometime before the end of the year, there's literally no games coming out so people probably would have bought them.

>Dirge of Cerberus was a terrible game
I liked it.

Attached: maxresdefault.jpg (1280x720, 113K)

Please don't give him attention. Just report his spam and ignore him.

No idea about the camera angles. Unless they zoom it out for places like that.

Or part 1 will just cap at a lower level so you can't grind to 99. You know, like in .hack, the franchise made by the company SE worked with for 2 years when they first started this remake.

the ancients are aliens, if they could breed with humans whos to say they couldn't breed with other species?

Attached: hqdefault[1].jpg (480x360, 27K)

>but the new versions of the soundtrack are SOULLESS as fuck
That's the only thing they go right you mean?
youtube.com/watch?v=eI7kh4GBPPg
>That wind pipe
So satisfying

You can't re-create that angle/atmosphere but the scene with Aerith and Cloud up on the roofs show they are trying. I think the Cyberpunk 2077 sun posters will flock to this game soon, because it has a lot of sunlight in these areas compared to your screenshot

Unfeasible in modern day AAA development. They could remake it with high quality models, full turn based, old camera angle, screen transitions, no cutscenes etc but this is a break in case of emergency game that there realistically is only a handful of in the entire industry. Midgar is also the most unique section of FF7, its the longest section, and its perfect for figuring out systems and mechanics while you then figure out how to fit it into the world outside the city

I mainly say Nibelheim for the prison sequence because starting game to off with a flashback seems like a poor move. Its not coming out for 3 years minimum, people need to be eased into the second game without a giant flashback with characters they barely remember

>Cutting Content is Okay if it's exclusive.
It's okay when Playstation Does it.

Attached: 1568090661447.png (378x371, 210K)

people like you shouldn't allowed to post

Why?

I don't care.
You shouldn't either.
Just ignore it for 10 years and then play the game or don't.

It's strange. Can't even consider the old "they'd have to renew the contract to use Gackt's shit for Genesis" excuse because they recently added Genesis to one of the mobile games and used the cutscene model in images there already.
The only thing I can think of is that they don't want to confuse people, since while they will be using some ideas from the Compilation, the games aren't actually canon to Remake. So you'd end up with people playing Crisis Core HD or whatever and wondering why shit in Remake ends up contradicting it.

you just seem like an idiot

Please do not verbally abuse me.

I doubt modern Square can even program the minigmaes FF7 had

Attached: FFVII_Submarine_Minigame.jpg (640x480, 79K)

There’s licensing issues with Crisis Core cause muh j pop and Dirge is terrible so nobody cares about it.

we aren't your friends, go out and live your life instead of being a pathetic moron shitting up Yea Forums more than it already is

>THEY'RE GONNA REMOVE THE MINIGAMES!!!!
>Latest trailer had the old squatting minigame and a new Tifa pull up minigame

I'm not even that into the remake because EPISODIC but why the fuck are people such retards?

Oh yeah, I forgot I'm on Yea Forums based based cringe cringe boom boom zoom zoom

Attached: 1447941723996.png (195x247, 3K)

That was very mean of you. I would like an apology.

How will Barry cope once this game completely and utterly destroys XV in every single available metric?

Dirge has 84 user score on metacritic. I think the people who hate on it didn't play it.

Attached: Dirge of Cerberus.webm (960x516, 2.92M)

Now that CC2 is gone who knows how much of that episodic form they're know for will actually remain. It could go full XIII trilogy now and have radically different game-play for FFVII-II (I hate that this could actually be it's title).

Same way he always does, Pinky. He'll try to take over Yea Forums.

You honestly think that 7r isn't coming to Xbox? Because that's incredibly cute if you think that.

>literally going for the "not interested in discussing how realistic things are in an alternate universe post-apoc game w/ talking mutants and ghouls" approach

Attached: 1486286763572.png (697x579, 873K)

They've shown like 1 but the game had like 20.

Attached: maxresdefault.jpg (1280x720, 53K)

3, they've shown 3.

Why did they have to make her so perfect bros
I'll hurt even more

Attached: PIZZA'D.png (1920x1080, 1.54M)

Gameplay was okay but a lot of the areas were horrible and boring to navigate, as well as the fact that everything was coated in this awful dusty layer that made everything seem super brown.

There were fuck all minigames in Midgar, which is all we've seen so far.

Holy shit fucking end yourself.

Just like every FF game, yes it will be ported.

I just find it hard to believe everything will be in the remake looking at the companies track record.

Attached: main-qimg-ef5d89416d6edba8f843f260a551aae1.jpg (480x360, 47K)

except that is a bunch of versions put together
nu Fighting doesn't even have the flutey part
those who fight further with the guitar/organ all but gone (which were 90% of the original track)

Attached: 1542958865465.png (441x463, 238K)

How did they ever release the original?
Not a joke question.

Long ago, Square used to understand how to make games.

Why are you getting upset over that? I feel this way because they haven't shown much other than combat. I don't feel like it will be a true representation of FF7 which had mostly slow moments with comfy music.

Attached: SpIjrrQ.png (640x439, 458K)

Back then
>alright fans here's a new FF we had to put it on 3 discs but we think it turned out well
Now
>alright fans here's part 1, we'll get parts 2-7 out some day
>now don't forget to pre-order and buy all the dlc

With a lot of luck. It was one of those rare cases where their ideas somehow didn't exceed heir grasp and they pulled it off. This was the one in a hundred times it worked where otherwise it wouldn't.

Devs were talented back then. They could make a FF game in a year or two. Now it takes ten years and it's fucking bad on top of that.

Attached: 78-E25_072.jpg (800x600, 224K)

>which had mostly slow moments with comfy music...
...after Midgar. Which this game doesn't focus on.

I wish I was good at marching. I always got a grenade thrown at me.

No, during Midgar.

Attached: download.jpg (269x187, 7K)

>seeing your friend kidnapped by the Yakuza is comfy

I'm getting upset because you're either clinically retarded or trying to make me upset by pretending to be. Complaining about NO MINIGAMES when we've already seen a few and considering Midgar had barely any to begin with is stupid.

It's like complaining about how Vincent, Yuffie and Cid are going to be removed because we haven't seen them yet BECAUSE THEY'RE NOT IN FUCKING MIDGAR AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH FUCK YOU

Are you just incapable of thinking for yourself or did you not play the game? The entire game was full of slow moments like that. The remake is being portrayed as fast as hell with none of these moments which leads me to believe a lot of them won't be there. And that a lot of stuff developed with that slow mindstate(such as minigames) will also be cut.

read above

Attached: 032.png (320x240, 56K)

I'd give my left nut for an FF game in the style of 7, 8 and 9.

>Producer admitted he has no idea how they're going to tackle the rest of FF7's world
They'll just cut all world map stuff, all Chocobo breeding, all optional Bosses.
Game will probably jump straight to being on junon in next chapter then follow boat trip across the sea.
Probably be lucky if second chapter even has golden saucer in it

You're right user. Next time I'm in Square HQ I'll tell Nomura that what people want to see in trailers and gameplay reveals is character talking and spoiling new plot details, instead of gameplay. Thanks.

>It's okay when Playstation Does it.
They are literally adding cut content you autistic nincel piece of shit

Trying too hard

haha everyone forgets about Cait Sith.

Can you tell him to show us Red and Jenova while you're there?

you're just acting like a faggot now

Attached: 033.png (320x240, 41K)

Just make him promise there will be no Genesis shit in the game and we're good

So where's the rest of the game outside Midgar?

They could just pull a Xenosaga Episode 2, start in the flashback, then pull into present day when it's done.

I still maintain this is a long-con by Squeenix to get in peoples' good faith again after the shitshow of FFXIII and FFXV.

They'll release FFVIIR, it'll be good, people will be excited, then they'll announce and release FFXVI and we'll never hear anything about this project ever again and they're excuse will be "we only ever planned to do Midgar."

>haha everyone forgets about Cait Sith.

Didn't wanna mention Cait Sith and give the retard ammo with ACKSHUALLY YOU SEE REEVE SO TECKNIKALLY

Can this game even return the money invested? Or is it just time to release to to minimize loss?

It's gonna go all the way up to Aerith's death with the final boss being Jenova. Everything after that is the 3rd game.

Then people will buy the FF7R Remaster hoping for a sequel.

Attached: 057.png (320x240, 47K)

if square wants to stop being bankrupt all they have to do is just make more games in the VII setting

it was the most successful one for a reason

Attached: 1542666483512.png (653x442, 226K)

I'm real interested in seeing how the fuck they're gonna do everything else with a free camera in just one game. It's a way bigger workload than Midgar.

Yeah just like how Yea Forums preached RE2 remake would be garbage

I disagree, I feel like they can do more with FF13's universe

They tried that and didn't make as much money as they thought.

Well, in this new revised version, Red XIII is actually trying to breed with Jenova instead of Aerith, so you'll get your wish

At least I'm not one, thanks

He's still trying to decide whether to add a scene where Genesis tries to talk with Sephiroth in Nibelheim like in CC but screws up and falls into the Mako or not

See: Crisis Core and Dirge of Cerberus. It's not much different, the graphics are just a gen ahead.

Attached: Vincent.webm (1000x600, 2.87M)

They called it their 'break glass in emergency' game in the past.

They already tried that and it was awful

Am I the only one who thinks Aeris was an objectively better name than Aerith?

I can't hear anyone say Aerith without thinking they're saying it with a lisp. It sounds so fucking stupid.

The question is how to adapt existing scenes, you dunce

>FF7R pt 1 focuses on Midgar
>Actually flesh the city out
>Retards on the internet REE because they're not sticking to remastered version of FF7 instead remaking it.

no there was a decade of debate on that, aerithfags were a bunch of gay nerds

This

They certainly are a mismanaged company

That's likely what they'll be doing after Remake. Expect Advent Children and Dirge of Cerberus remade as sequels to 7R.
Though I could also see Dirge of Cerberus being folded into the last part of 7R as an optional dungeon leading to a superboss.

That's not what you said at all. You're implying the workload is tremendous when it's not.

People aren't mad that there's new shit. I've seen zero complaints about extra fitness minigames, for example.
They're mad that the pacing and writing are getting fucked by pointless changes.

>spoiling new plot details
there shouldn't BE new plot details, nobody wants that stupid fanfiction shit

Midgard didn't need fleshing out. It's a pizza city of rich of fucks living on top of ghettos and at the center of it all a megacorporation.
It's all you need. The strenght of FFVII is leaving things up to the player's imagination.
We don't need to actually visit all the sectors or enter people's houses. That's how you ruin a streamlined experience

>>Actually flesh the city out
As it stands there is zero evidence of this. There is evidence of a lot of fluff and padding though.

Attached: 049.png (320x240, 59K)

>meteor is stopped entirely at the end of 7R to allow for more universe expansion
>dirge and AR canned entirely for better, more thought out sequels
>CC remade
>7chads ride into the sunset

screencap this

Attached: 1560134626601.jpg (559x672, 82K)

>Dirge
Please no. We really don't need to elaborate even further on Vincent's already irredeemably pathetic story.

>They basically stopped making minigames in mainline titles starting at FF12.

FFXII had fishing and the foot race.
FFXIII-2 had a handful of them.
FFXIV (Yes, the fact that it's numbered makes it mainline, MMO or otherwise) has about 16 in Golden Saucer, some in the toy box, and a few other seasonal mini games here and there.
FFXV has a handful.

Really, only the games where you play as Lightning for all or a majority of the game completely dropped the ball.

It'd actually be really cool to get a Dirge remake in the same engine.

The workload of translating all of these existing scenes in a free camera environment. Square themselves cited the workload as part of why this is episodic. If you don't want to cut anything AND want free camera AND want great visuals, the variety of locations adds up fast. There hadn't been a single HD Squeenix game with as many distinct locales with unique assets as Disc 1 would require

>Crisis Core was passable
If you skipped every single one of the cutscenes, maybe.
It was an alright combat system for a portable game. I'd honestly rather have that over this auto-play bullshit we got with XV and this game.

Tough shit. A new generation of gamers must learn of the Cucklord's past.

Attached: Hojo1.jpg (412x393, 28K)

Nigger, they straight up teased post-Midgar shit at the end of the TGS Trailer. Shut the fuck up.

It could work as an alternate mode to justify a standalone game. Being able to explore the whole of Midgar outside of the context if the story could be fun.

This combat is exactly the same as CC but it's flashier, what the hell are you talking about?

>teased post-Midgar by showing an altered plate destruction cutscene

Attached: 067.png (320x240, 52K)

Seriously they should just leave the poor guy alone now, like I would be perfectly fine if they cut him out of the remake entirely. Vincent is already arguably the most pathetic character in all of JRPG history, maybe even video game history in general. Just let the sad sack be forgotten.

All they showed was the part after the motorcycle chase sequence right before you leave Midgar, plus it's literally been confirmed the remake will focus on Midgar

>multiple command options like stealing, jump, and wide attacks
>there's back attacks so there's at least some contextual actions other than "hold the attack button and wait until the enemy suffocates under a blanket of numbers"
>buffs and magic
>items actually do shit
The slot machine bullshit can go, though. To this day, I have no idea what they were thinking.

>teased post-Midgar shit at the end of the TGS Trailer.
user...

All of those apply here and there are multiple characters to control.

>To this day, I have no idea what they were thinking.
Unironically? Gacha

I still don't get how someone can look at that story, the way 7 is written in general, and Nomura's designs and say "Yeah, Vincent got cucked."
>But Kato and Nojima say-
Kato and Nojima are retards who don't understand games they contribute to; Chrono Cross, FFX 2.5, Advent Children and Dirge proved that.

I feel like they have to keep him in because he was in the original, but honestly he was a worse character than Cait Sith, he's a relic of edgy vampires from the late 90s/early 2000's and he aged poorly.

That wasn't the escape where you leave Midgar, Cloud wasn't on the Hardy Daytona and there was no blue Kei truck with Barret/Aerith/Red13/Tifa. It's assumed it's on the way to or from a bombing run since the supporting AVALANCHE members are still alive.

So what you're saying is that they basically stopped making minigames in mainline titles starting at FF12.

yikes

>I would be perfectly fine if they just cut him from the remake entirely.
And miss out on the chance for his monster mash limit breaks to actually be playable? Nah.

Is getting to control the graveyard smash really worth reminding the entire world that Vincent's girl found Vincent so unappealing that she'd rather bang the crazy, greasy, balding, second-rate scientist over him?

I'm optimistic but it really does seem like a fucking monolith of a game to develop. The scale is insane.

What's wrong with Vincent besides
>H-HE GOT KEKED!!!

They're not doing limit breaks the same way. Vincent's just going to have Chaos as his limit break by default. You might get some ATB spenders as Galian Beast, but Frankenstein and the Texas Chainsaw Massacre absolutely aren't getting in.

Dirge of Cerberus is one of the worst-written games in history. It's literally indescribable, you have to experience it for yourself. The hammy voice acting and anime bullshit are just icing on the top.

14's minigames are cobbled together nothings that exist to pad out a feature list. It's been years and you STILL can't use a 4* and a 5* card in the same Triad deck.
Fuck Chocobo Racing.

People who played FFVII and know why it's so great are the ones saying it's gonna flop.
Enjoy your super serious epic gritty cyberpunk while the original game is wacky as fuck

Nothing. Yea Forums is obsessed with being the contrarian shithole they've become.

episodic was the only way to do it justice. there is no way to cram the entirety of FF7 into a modern day AAA experience. it would have a ridiculous amount of shit cut. at least this way questions like
>Producer admitted he has no idea how they're going to tackle the rest of FF7's world
can be answered with player feedback from how Midgar flows.

See
It'll just convince a new generation that he's Sephiroth's dad.

BTFO
To be fair he is an

>FFVII compilation
Doesn't count. Anything made after FFVII has sat on its legacy. That's how Cloud became an emo.

>Dirge of Cerberus was a terrible game
It was, but it was also compatible with keyboard and mouse

>episodic was the only way to do it justice.
Or just make it turned based and use static camera angles.

>there is no way to cram the entirety of FF7 into a modern day AAA experience
The state of nu-Yea Forums. You guys are so used to shit games you justify episodic remakes and pretend they're doing the game justice.

I never gave a shit about about how cucked Vincent was. I just liked his silly monster transformations.

I just wish he had a personality or any likeable characteristics.

>can be answered with player feedback from how Midgar flows
And that's how you get a soulless product.
The original FFVII followed a vision no matter how stupid or controversial it could be.

I don't know how people can be excited for anything final fantasy related after everything surrounding 15.

FF10 - 13 might have been pretty trash, but at least they were all complete games.
FF15 was just a mess and the 7 remake is looking like it's going to be the same kind of thing.

>I don't get it!
Nice blog

Yuffie is the best character. She always has something to contribute even when it feels like every other party member just stands around and watches shit

Attached: agreed.png (1602x902, 484K)

how rude

not an argument. it is objectively impossible to do a modern day FF7 1:1 remake as a single project.

>listening to player feedback is bad
lmao

This is why I disapprove of the boss fight.

I always kinda wanted like, an FF7 romhack that either added texturing to the character models or modded them to be full sized like a modded PC version while also having textures. That way with the low resolution of the PS1 the characters would actually seem like they blend into the environments instead of the gourad shading of flat model bits meshed together.

Attached: 1560142088174.png (1200x1183, 696K)

>Producer admitted he has no idea how they're going to tackle the rest of FF7's world
Oh shit, the remake is fucked then. Remaking Midgar is the easy part. Nearly everything after that is way too video gamey though.

It's easier to make games today than it was in the past.

Yufie and Vincent tend to have better dialogue than Cait, Cid and Red most of the time despite being optional, it's weird.

I want to play FF7 on PS1 with Remako mod. All FF ports are dog shit compared to the originals.

Attached: 068.png (320x240, 59K)

>It's easier to make games today than it was in the past
Quite the opposite.
FFVI was done in a single year and the budget wasn't nearly as astronomic as AAA titles that they could kill your studio if you failed
(yes FFVI not VII)

That's pretty true, though half of Vincent's lines are "muh sin" or "dream" or "sleep"

Attached: brilliant.png (1602x900, 394K)

Indeed. Plus she has the cutest insult for Cloud ever.

Attached: FINAL FANTASY VII_20190602013043.jpg (3840x2160, 497K)

Considering they work they are putting in to make the party more unique from each other due to the combat change I doubt it.

PS1 wouldn't even be able to render Remako worth a damn given its low resolution, never mind disc space use.

>it's real

How have they survived this long?

Attached: Confused Mouse.png (372x497, 243K)

Which compared to Cid and Red having nothing to say at all and Cait being an annoying faggot is great, because it's usually funny.

FF7 has a big problem with dropping characterization outside of obligatory story scenes (it's more of a series wide problem, really) and I worry the Remakes, for all their extra bullshit, won't fix that.

I'm excited for part 2, the game looks good so far, but I don't think FF7R will feel right until we have all the characters together. We get the first 5 in Midgar, but we still never get to have the option to choose who is in our team until we get out into the overworld.

I have no faith in any of the new story bits being good in any capacity whatsoever but the gameplay looks pretty tight so I'll likely get it to shit on the story while enjoying the combat.

>Considering they are still making this game, no shit they don't have the second game on board entirely.
We're talking about the same company that has done the opposite of this for 30 years.

Crisis Core is a better game than FF7 anyway.

I'm not lying to you, you dumbass. Look at how many Indie games and mods therea re for modern games these days. If Square wasn't retarded they could make a good game, but alas.

It's like TES development compared to The Witcher development. There's no excuse for bad developers.

>who is in our team until we get out into the overworld.
Aerith and Tifa so Barret gets mad.

I dunno man, I feel like with a project of this scale they should really have their shit planned out better, at least when part 1 is like 6 months away from releasing.

We do know they already have the plot for the whole thing lined out (naturally, it's already made for them), but it's a learning process. They need to figure out what works in the Midgar portion and what doesn't. How do you translate a whole world map into modern stuff? Type-0 it? Or figure other methods or even remove the world map and just make the game one big reversible track like X with a quick-travel Airship? Once we knew part 1 was going to be Midgar-only people should've figured that they weren't planning that far ahead given their ideas of expanding everything.

That's not even scratching side-quests, optional content, the submarine, and so forth.

Attached: how to single out protagonists.png (994x698, 857K)

Yeah I honestly don't even remember Red ever saying anything unless you deliberately walked up and talked to him or the game forced you to go to Cosmo Canyon. Kinda weird that the optional characters got so many lines while actual characters just kinda get shoved into the background and forgotten.

Attached: that's every day.png (1602x901, 548K)

so this is basically XIII corridors again but with VII's characters

>TFW the part I'm most excited for about the remake is Yuffie picking on Red XIII

Attached: 20190817133602_1.jpg (1920x1080, 321K)

They should've just done a faithful remake with the old camera angles and refined versions of the old game with more dynamic camera angles to smooth out the occasional jankiness. That would've been 100% doable and releasable as one game, but by expanding it and giving it the AAA treatment, they're ensuring that this won't be fully complete until the PS6 is out.

On discs 2 and 3

Cute.

>, but we still never get to have the option to choose who is in our team until we get out into the overworld.

You're under the impression that the game will still follow that formula with everything they've changed. I'd bet money that the actual Midgar stuff we know will all be taken care of in 8 hours but instead of leaving the city, some shit will keep them there for another 25 hours of nonsense before they finally leave.

Also they could easily alter it enough to get Yuffie into the party in Midgar, since her recruitment was literally just a random encounter in the woods, and not a static location tied to an important backstory like Vincent.

>Yuffie riding on Reds back is actually canon in the novellas.
>They're really fucking cute together

Attached: W84I1ssyepmo1_1280.jpg (1280x909, 269K)

Everyone was young and passionate, that's how they managed that technical miracle.

Count on it being a 1:1 adaption based on what we saw of the squats last night

Attached: MILF.png (712x633, 716K)

Literally dumb luck.
>Make almost nothing but garbage for three years straight, get lucky on a Dragon Quest clone.
>It's a buggy piece of shit but whatever, more!
>Every single Square project from the point forward is managed terribly, deadlines slip, games are buggy, nobody knows who is in charge, balance rarely exists.
>Try to make a FUCKING MOVIE, fail.
>Get bought by competitor, investors put YOU in charge despite tanking your company not even a year before.
>Continue this pattern while burning through your workforce until it starts harming your rep.
It's worth noting that their money is made one chunk in montage, one chunk in MMOs, one chunk in games, and one chunk in outside investments. They own shit like spas and magazines from the Enix acquisition and subsequent growth (Monthly GanGan for example) and as a result get to skim a lot off shit they only finance at low risk high reward.

If you ever bought a volume of Soul Eater or Fullmetal Alchemist, you gave Square five cents.

Red and Yuffie was always my favorite team.

I wonder how Square will handle level scaling from title to title. If someone grinded destiny Island to 99 you know people will do it in FF7remake episode one. Will levels and gear carry over to the next one? Will they cap levels and materia to prevent this? If Midgar is going to be a full length game what level will you end up at in the end?

>implying it's not coming to everything & the kitchen sink

They've had to have lost their marbles if they don't make this game run on as many consoles as possible user yes that means the switch as well

Attached: 1415241267603.png (705x588, 210K)

Meant for

Explain how they will implement the overworld with the realism aesthetic they're looking for without an open world

It's unreasonable, but I've always hoped that the Shinra raid is halfway through the game and the escape lets us run around in the city with the whole Midgar party
I could see Yuffie making at least a cameo, I wonder if they'd deviate that far from the original plot?

Well they can't do it in the bombing run at least, enemies don't respawn there. We got no idea how random encounters will work, if they even still exist as random and aren't just scripted per combat area.

It osn't coming to Switch.
You bet your ass it's coming to the next Nintendo console, however.

>If Midgar is going to be a full length game what level will you end up at in the end?

35
Make levels take longer to attain.
Make part 2 to level 70, start everyone at 35.
Make part 3 to level 99, start everyone at 70.

Reminder that Final Fantasy XV took like ten years to make

How is a project of this scale is financially feasible? 5 years of resources just for a single part out of God knows how many?

Attached: 6346346.png (567x426, 120K)

>I wonder if they'd deviate that far from the original plot?

They kind of have to deviate from the original part a shit ton just from the sheer amount they'd need to add to make it a full game.

They made money on XV, despite how retardedly implausible that sounds, so i'm not surprised really.

They'll just cap your level. Like how XIII did it. This will also work to their benefit so they can balance shit around the max level at that current time.

You just might be an impressionable idiot user.

>Players can play various minigames at the Wonder Square in the Gold Saucer. Many of the minigames played here also appear earlier in the game as part of progressing the story.

>In the Sector 5 Church, the player can help Aeris climb to the top. The player must call out commands and push barrels on enemies to protect her. Only one barrel has to be pushed for Aeris to make it to the top without getting into a battle; however, all of the troops can be taken out with barrels. The minigame can be ignored altogether, as the player can opt for Aeris to fight the enemies.

>In the Sector 5 Reactor the player must press a button in unison with Barret and Tifa and repeat this until they get it right to open a door.

>At the Wall Market, the player must partake in a squats minigame. Cloud must face another AI-controlled character and score more squats by pressing buttons in a specific order. Failing the order, the player will cancel halfway though a squat and cause a few seconds delay. The feat is timed, and the player will receive a different item depending on how well they do in comparison to the AI. The better the player does, the better item the player gets to stand more chance of being chosen by Don Corneo.

>When climbing the Sector 6 plate from Wall Market up to Shinra Building the player must leap onto a swinging object. When in position, pressing the [OK] button jumps. The game tells if the player jumped too soon or too late.

I'd prefer an FFX hallway world over an empty open world like FF15.

>In the Shinra Building, the player must get past guards without being seen. The player controls Cloud as he runs across the room just like in normal exploration, but the player must call the other characters over. Calling a character over makes them run from one cover to another. If a character is seen while moving between covers, a fight initiates against Mighty Grunt enemies. Failing too many times will end the minigame.

>G Bike is played when the party escapes from Midgar. Cloud gets on a motorcycle and must protect the truck with his friends on from Shinra. The player must move the motorcycle and slice left and right to take out Shinra motorcyclists. If they come into contact with either Cloud's vehicle or the other vehicle, party members will take damage. Damage dealt depends on the part of the truck being hit, while Cloud's damage depends on his motorcycle. The amount of damage taken translates into the percentage of HP the party will have in the fight against Motor Ball. The party can later play this minigame at the Wonder Square in Gold Saucer where it is points based, and the player will gain points by taking out motorcyclists and lose points when the truck is hit.

so yeah the QTE squat minigame is there, what about the rest? What about the huge amount in the gold saucer and elsewhere?

Same I always wanted to try different characters to see what they'd say and do, but I'd always just end up with Red and Yuffie back 3 minutes later

Attached: 124124124.jpg (1920x1080, 272K)

>5 years of resources just for a single part out of God knows how many?
The fact that just part 1 alone is taking this long is the biggest point of concern for me. To be fair they had to restart the entire project because they were originally outsourcing it and decided to do it themselves and restart completely, so really what we're getting is more like two or three years' worth of work.

Yeah, but even so, there's only so much money to be spent. To blow it all in this sounds absurd and irresponsible.

They could pull the sephiroth trick and triple everyone's health if you reach max level.

>get to Costa Del Sol in remake
>Yuffie gets a frisbee and starts bugging Red XIII again

>make part 1
>sells 10 million copies
>use the money to fund part 2
>sells 10 million copies
>use the money to fund part 3
>sells 10 million copies
>use the money to fund other games
>make profit every time cause each part needs less funding due to asset recycling, smaller engine research phases, less staff etc etc

The Minstrel's Ballad: Final Fantasy VII

You have darts and you ain't going to Gold Saucer any time soon

It's understandable but it's also a problem they created themselves, they took a 20 years old game and decided to spend the next 20 years making it prettier, shit's going to be cross-generetional even

7M sales + Merch + DLC

>absurd and irresponsible.
welcome to Square-Enix, where people waited for Kingdom Hearts 3 for over a decade and still got a rushed product

Imagine being a KHuck

I can see part 1 selling a lot, but the subsequent ones? by the time the 2nd one is out the gaming landscape will be completely different than it is nowadays (we'll be in the next gen mid-life basically).

Part 1 taking this long is fine, since they have to get the gameplay systems sorted and shit. It's the time on the second game we should be keeping an eye on, since all that basic framework will be made for them already so all they need to work on is the new locations and enemies. If part 2 takes as long to make as part 1 and only ends up with the same/less content, there's something very wrong.

No gold saucer until part 2 is my guess. Bike game is in and expanded, so is the squat game. We don't know about the simultaneous button press in the reactor or the climb up to Shinra yet.

it's ff7, it will sell, part 2 will sell as well as part 1+2 bundle with updated graphics will sell as well as anything they put out with the ff7 name..

>The player can play a Strategy minigame in Fort Condor where they have to fend off Shinra forces. The player has to buy units and place them on the field. When the game starts, enemy units rise up the screen. During play, the player can still add more units. There are 21 battles overall, but only 15 are playable. The minigame has to be played once in the storyline, which is the last time the minigame can be played. During this battle, the player plays to protect the Huge Materia. If the enemy forces climb to the top, the party will face CMD.Grand Horn in an ordinary battle. In all other battles, if the enemy climbs to the top, the player will just lose and receive no item at the end.

>A short CPR minigame occurs when in Under Junon. After defeating the Bottomswell the player must give CPR to Priscilla. There is a gauge depicting lungs, and Cloud will give Priscilla different amounts of air depending on how full the gauge is when the player releases. The player cannot lose at this minigame, and repeatedly giving low amounts of air will just extend the length of the minigame. At minimum, Cloud must give five breaths of air to complete the minigame; however, not all of the doses have to be full, and the final one can fill the gauge halfway to win if all previous breaths were full.

>During the Junon Parade in Upper Junon Cloud has to join in as a Shinra Infantryman. The minigame is split into two parts: first, the soldiers march down the streets and later perform maneuvers in front of the new president. During the first part, Cloud must join the parade and move at the same time as the other soldiers. The better he does, the higher the television ratings are, which decides the reward given to the player after the performance. The second part of the minigame has the commander call out instructions, and the player must push the correct buttons at the right time to score points, which determine the prize the player will get.

Square Enix prints money with all their gacha games.

>There are people still insisting 3 isn't a downgrade from 2
>There are people still insisting that 2 is a good game overall instead of having a good combat system, a few good fights, and a difficulty setting thar's perfectly tuned for the best content.
>There are still people who insist VSXIII would have been amazing with current evidence
>There are still people who think Nomura is an amazing director instead of another mediocre manager like most of Squaresoft's directors whose best games are held up by designers doing part of his job for him.

How many times does the actual direction and planning of knee of his games have to be shit before people start to understand?

>it's ff7, it will sell
That's just an assumption, a very fragile one even. Nostalgia bait won't work forever.

Wowee you're a genius user, you've figured out that minigames that take place outside of midgar won't happen in the midgar only section of the remake. How about we wait to see if the rest of the minigames are in midgar before we start jumping to conclusions yeah?

>knee
How the fuck, am I having a stroke?

I'm saying a lot more than you're implying. Gold Saucer won't be disk 2 for starters.

it has been working for 30 years now.
Compilation made good money despite being garbage. Even XV and even KH3.

Hell, people still buy AC games every year.

Part of the reason they're having such a hard time is that retarded Squaresoft literally threw out all the computers and hard drives and everything with the old source code and original background & FMV model renders on them. So they're just having to base all this on the existing final game and old concept art they might happen to still have lying around. This remake was doomed from the start all because they couldn't future-proof for shit in 1997.

>they still didnt had the balls to name it "Episode 1"

Elaborate.

I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes a live service platform. You buy the initial disc, and then buy the subsequent episodes as DLC expansions.

FFXV was also a development nightmare headed by a total fucking madman who blew most of the development time and budget on completely asinine vacations across the world to justify his team taking high resolution pictures of rocks and renting out castles and shit for PR events. Tabata the con man was a parasitic leech that also went on to hinder other projects at the studio. FFXIV's development budget was hit because they needed to pull funds to help with FFXV which is why Stormblood was so fucking rocky, Kingdom Hearts III (And this was confirmed by Nomura himself) was basically shelved for years because it was impossible to make with all the resources going towards FFXV, and Kingom Hearts III being put on hold for some damn long resulted in FFVIIR being pushed back even further because Nomura didn't want to focus on two at a time. I'm sure Dragon Quest 11 had a rocky start too given when it's development started.

Tabata almost destroyed Square Enix with his flagrant disregard for spending on the most asinine and pointless shit for his game, and the ones above him were fools for ever letting him get as far as he did. The only things that kept them afloat was it's third party publishing,Yoshida turning FFXIV into a money printing machine completely in spite of the reduced budget, and various FF and Dragon Quest spin off titles trickling in money.

>it has been working for 30 years now.
It works until it doesn't anymore, that's why putting this many resources into the king of all nostalgia projects seems crazy.
>Compilation made good money despite being garbage.
Yeah, 10 years ago. It wasn't garbage though, you're just being silly.
>Even XV and even KH3.
Brand name sold those, not the actual quality. People will catch on eventually, they'll get tired of mediocrity.

>implying I'll waste any more time speaking to you

Because generations after generations of casuals buy and glorify their garbage.

Oh so you have no argument other than copy pasting descriptions of minigames. Ok.

Honestly, Midgar was a city with a lot of potential which was not fully exploited. To focus solely on Midgar, if done right, can result in a great game. Furthermore, we do all know how does the story unfold. Even if the episodic format fails, we all know Aeris dies and Sephiroth becomes a god, only to be destroyed by Cloud 'n friends.
The second episode will take less time to be made, it has already been confirmed by the developer.

I would wager good money there's no classic style overworld user. At best I'd imagine we get something like FFXII's world travel, where we set a destination and can walk around the highwind or whatever. The other vehicles will have dedicated but small action segments where we get to use them, chocobos we breed will be for gold saucer/summon in the field use only

>Putting it all on Tabata
>When he only got it in the first place because Nomura couldn't man up and just ship his game.
>When SE's historically retarded management made the same mistakes it always made.
Nomurafags are disgusting.
Square-Enix is rotten internally. Don't make Tabata your scapegoat when every "director" there is an irresponsible fuckup.

why even play it at that point

Attached: 141.png (320x240, 110K)

>they'll get tired of mediocrity
Nigger do you even look around the world you live in? Mediocrity is king.

Leave Kawazu out of this.

You clearly don't know what Nomura was doing. XV being shit is the fault of general poor management of all projects. And only Tabara can be blamed for the quality of the game because he intentionally ruined it.

>Priscilla locks lips in a story-mandatory scene that impossible to miss or skip
>meanwhile Aeris gets nothing and Tifa only has an optional, missable scene with """implications"""
How do they even recover?

It really isn't that big of a mystery.
Nomura even stated they announced the remake way too early and that they weren't even actively working on it at the time, and he wasn't even planning on giving it much if any attention until he was done with KHIII.

In the case of a multi-part series, there will be plenty of asset reusing.
They won't need to remake all the party members for example in future parts.
No other city comes close to Midgar is scale. The closest is Junon, and even if they expanded up it and made it much larger, you could maybe extend it back so it's roughly the side of one Midgar plate. And even then, you can reuse a lot of Midgar assets to make it.
A lot of the outdoor assets like textures and shit can be reused and altered from FFXV
A number of the music tracks can be reused
Summons can be reused
The battle system will obviously be reused
Menus will be reused

All of the hardest shit can and will almost certainly be reused like various coding and game systems. All they'd need to do
If you want something comparable, just look at FFXIII. Not the best of games but it illustrates the point.
FFXIII took 5 years of development time, while XIII-2 only took them a year and a half, and XIII-3 was only in development for about a year.
And that was with an ever decreasing budget and man power each time.
The FFVII remake parts will not have a reduced budget or reduced manpower. It's too important for them to cut corners in those aspects. This is not a luke warm reception game like FFXIII was. This is mother fucking Final Fantasy VII. Arguably the most important and influential game in their entire catalog and the game that has defined the Square half of Square Enix for over 20 years.
Except a part every two years.

Do you really even count him when he's just over in the corner getting fed stale chips as he plots new ways to befuddle players?

If we're being real there's a few decent producers (Saito is the only one who gets recognition since he attached himself to Taro), Yuji Horii is in a weird quasi-producer/designer place but does good work, and for all the shit you can say about XIV Yoshida does an impressive job given his workload. Pretty much all the other senior staff is incompetent st managing projects, though. It's frustrating.

How the fuck does Toriyama still have a job?

>Producer admitted he has no idea how they're going to tackle the rest of FF7's world

it's not really that huge, unlike midgar most town/village locations are just couple of houses strong. junon, cosmo canyon and gold saucer will probably be medium size while I expect they'll expand on wutai a lot. wutai felt small in the original which felt strange because of its plot significance. if they decide to implement open world map it might be challenging to do it properly. they'll need to be careful not to fuck up the scale and make it too big because gameplay will suffer as well as their budget/development time. nobody want's to walk for hours between locations. but yeah, don't know how the fuck will all those story sequences fit into 3 games,

This is the dumbest fucking thing I've ever read on here pertaining to FFVIIR. Did you even play the original fucking game? This isn't nintendo this is final fantasy which TELLS A STORY

Given how we got three SaGa games in five years and how all the other mobage have made bank, with the last one being a record breaking success?
Yes, and his portfolio doesn't get any worse.

>There is evidence of a lot of fluff and padding though.
There's no such evidence at all actually.

it's just sn*y delusion and cope, many such cases

>and for all the shit you can say about XIV Yoshida does an impressive job given his workload

Impressive doesn't even begin to describe it. The work he put in on his game manifested in the form of the company not going bankrupt.
Imagine how absolutely butt fucked SE would have been if they didn't have that buffer between Komoto's bumbling incompetence and Tabata's complete disregard for budget.

>every two years

Are you drunk user?

Attached: What was that.png (128x106, 37K)

>it's not really that huge

Yoshida is working on a AAA title since late 2016/early 2017 and based on concept art it's pretty much guaranteed to be XVI, his workload is up there with Nomura's.

I wish I was as blind as you, maybe I could get hyped too.

So if FF7 Remake Part 2 starts in Kalm, let's place our bets on when it'll end. FF7's plot is so continuously flowing with no clear "stopping points" until like around the split to disc 2.

My best best is the Golden Saucer is it, ending with the gang being thrown into the Corel Desert. Thus, part 3 can open up with you needing to get out of an expanded Corel Desert at the beginning, kind of like getting out of Midgar for the first few hours of the original game.

Then part 3 can end after Aeris dies, right before you go to the snowy area. Part 4, again, wants you to leave the snowy area, and then ideally it can be the longest part and go up to the end of the game.

They're padding out Midgar a fuckton, so the equivalent would be if the second part ended at Golden Saucer just after you get the buggy.

I just wanna hit at least Cosmo Canyon before part 2 ends

forgot to mention that they did a great job with dragon quest xi world map and town locations. the scope was just right. and it was also unreal engine game.

Attached: 1563102322452.jpg (1280x720, 263K)

>new things ARE ABSOLUTELY NOT ALLOWED
fucking purists man, i swear

No one said that. I just used an example of fluff.

kind of surprised if it actually goes up to the escape from midgar

Yeah, not bad. Well except for the part where you only had a few designated landing zones for your flying transportation instead of actually getting to explore all of the map.

how do you know it's fluff? we still don't know if he is a legit expansion to the lore or just mindless filler. The OG game badly needed more SOLDIER representation, so this is anything but fluff, it is actively adding and fixing the og's faults.

Because I am not a retard.

so you're a retard, gotcha

Fuck off Nomurafags, you cry the same sad song every time.
Newsflash: Everyone else at SE has to deal with the incompetence of the madhouse too. The difference is that instead of promising the suits to do more projects than he realistically could, and promising fans outlandish things, and refusing to compromise when snags I development happen, the other directors and producers do their job. When the devs left XIV and moved to XV and Naoki Yoshida was left with one of the smallest active development teams in Square Enix, he didn't go "oh, this, the next expansion is gonna need an extra year." He did his fucking job. Uchikawa wasn't told "it's ok bro, take your time" when he was directing XI as XV was killing them internally, he fucking got his game out after making some hard compromises, some of which are being alleviated in a new release RIGHT NOW because he did his fucking job.

Nomura was irresponsible. When he couldn't get the devs he needed he didn't downgrade the scope or use his ideas on a new project or anything, he pushed fucking cinematic hype trailers for a game that didn't exist. He ended up getting taken off the project (don't you dare say it was willing, he's still mad about it, he refuses to acknowledge TabaNoctis as his Noctis and made an OC for KH3 specifically to use "his" Noctis) because he didn't produce results, and the same pattern of behavior has been seen across multiple projects.

Don't give me bullshit about how it's not his fault at all; XV exists because he refused to let it die or put out a less impressive game than promised. That's on him. He's not some pure dindu angel. He's one of the myriad managerial fuckups at Square Enix.

No. As it stands they've only really been working on this game for about 3 years when you factor in deleting all of that outsourced work and starting fresh.

This game is going to get snubbed at game awards so press can say how great last of us 2 is

(you) don't really expect me to read this do you?

I'm just taking the piss about how he's the niche guy with a small budget, user.

I'm so happy the battle music is faithfully orchestrated, god it's so good.

Attached: 1505626612053.png (300x300, 162K)

I think it sounds worse.

>mfw that OC DONUT STEEL SOLDIER character
I really fucking hate Nomura.
I'm okay with the gameplay changes, they don't look great, but FF7 combat wasn't great to begin with really. But the episodic nature of the game and the retcon of the story to suit the AWFUL spin offs is where I draw the line.

The WATCHMEN OF FATE ghosts is cringe inducing as fuck. What is this shit? Forcing Sephiroth into Midgar when you never even saw what he looked like till the flashback in Kalm, which was great because it built suspense. When you get to Shinra President and find all the blood and big ass sword in him you were hyped to find out more about Sephiroth. This time you will have seen him a dozen times by then in dumb visions and I bet you even fight him as a boss in a hallucination or some stupid shit.

Attached: 1282089554182.jpg (126x118, 3K)

To the original? No way.

Of course not, you have ADD.

It's a sentient monster energy can posting all boomer posts

Attached: EDR6G5tXUAAxwFr.jpg (694x980, 69K)

>no fun allowed winning anything

*For reference, Uchikawa directed DQXI, not FFXI.

Nomura fucking up doesn't magically erase the fact that Tabata fucked up ten times worse.
Nor does it erase the fact that Tabata fucked up more than anyone there.

What's wrong with SOLDIER actually having you know, actual SOLDIERS besides Sephiroth, Zack and the generic grunts.

Holy shit so many salty boomers in here. The original still exists and can be heavily modified!

The game even has classic mode as an option where the characters do the auto attacking and you just choose commands. You faggots would be unhappy even if it was exactly the same but better visuals and audio.

Attached: 1544364683593.jpg (966x1024, 226K)

They're going on the "but you already know" train of thought.
I hate it too.

dumb youtube.com/watch?v=IxJuQ51qBnI

>Holy shit so many salty boomers in here
Literally 1-2 people.

>and I bet you even fight him as a boss in a hallucination or some stupid shit.

Why would you even need to fight a hallucination?
By the time the president gets killed, there's literally a Sephiroth shaped Jenova puppet walking around.

There were SOLDIERS in the original. 3rd Class, 2nd Class and 1st Class enemies. They didn't yell WOOO HOOO LOOK AT ME I'M A BOYBAND CHARACTER YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

I don't disagree (except the "10x worse" part, he's more at fault but nowhere near that much).
I just hate people treating XV as Tabata's blunder and absolving everyone else of guilt. This was absolutely Nomura's fault too. This was Wada's fault. This was everyone's fault who had a hand in it at that level.

>>mfw that OC DONUT STEEL SOLDIER character

See, this I really don't mind as much as long as he, and other soldiers, are just one off boss fights added in to lengthy the game. Because lets face it, they need to lengthy it somewhere.

As long as they don't become actual characters, and just have the stage presence of Metal Gear Rising bosses, it should be fine.

>They didn't yell WOOO HOOO LOOK AT ME I'M A BOYBAND CHARACTER YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
Neither did this guy.

Yeah he did.

You're gonna trigger a lot of people by saying that.

Like significantly worse.
youtube.com/watch?v=QY1Vetd7OCs
Lots of people have touched up on this improving it, Square's version is awful in my opinion.

Maybe this will at least teach them a hard lesson.
Don't announce a completely new game that ties into another game you haven't even finished development on yet.

>As long as they don't become actual characters, and just have the stage presence of Metal Gear Rising bosses, it should be fine.
At most I expect we'll get one that slinks away before you kill them, and they'll show up again later as one of the cloaked men headed to the Reunion.

>Because lets face it, they need to lengthy it somewhere.
Actually they could have just made the whole game instead of episodes padded out with garbage.

>announces FFVIIR 5 years too early
Square Enix will never learn.

I predict something like Dragon Quest VIII/XI or FFXII, where it’s a series of interconnected semi-open world regions dotted with side quests and whatnot, and not a big mostly empty globe that a chibi model runs around.

Yes, user. I know that.
But that's not the world we live in. I'm speaking strictly in terms of what we have, not what we wish we could have.

Dude no, shut up. The MIDI in FF7 sounds awful.

>six months until launch
This is the time in a video game's development when a whole lot of shit goes right or goes wrong. Nothing we see today will mean anything unless the final product is the real deal.

>mfw they sell the original ost as DLC

Attached: 1327308349744.png (179x248, 77K)

Bitch we're seeing the result of them doing the same thing RIGHT NOW.
Oh you know that's not the case, they introduced his personality and showed his face all close up instead of just having a helmeted boss guy, he's gonna have a name and a VA and merchandise.

>FF7's OST is awful
You're a fucking faggot.

That'll never work. People will bitch the moment they don't get to zip around the globe in 20 seconds on an airship and chase a weapon around ramming into it like some 1900's sailors crashing into the side of a groggy old one.

The OST is great. The sound font is awful.

XI's may as well just be a world map with some load zones.

Looks like we can all agree on the fact that this game is going to be a huge disappointment but do you guys think disk 1 will be so badly reviewed to the point that they won't even bother to make the rest of the game?

Can you blame them?
That shit was fun.

>be so badly reviewed
kek it will get 9/10 by both media and fans because people are idiots

>Looks like we can all agree on the fact that this game is going to be a huge disappointment

Do not presume to speak for me you absolute cunt.

>old combat good
>new combat bad

>old story good
>new story bad

>old uematsu good
>new uematsu bad

Nostalgia is a hell of a drug.

Attached: 1562655509776.jpg (480x723, 67K)

That honestly sounds way more fun.

>old uematsu good
>new uematsu bad
This one is true though

being a corporate dick slurper is a stronger drug

There aren't going to be 4 parts

Part 1 is midgar

Part 2 ends with the death

Part 3 finishes it

>A FF game
>Badly reviewed
People eat this trash series since three decades, nothing's gonna change until a major generation shift in the industry where the conditioning breaks, this game will sell millions but the rest of the episodes will sell less and less, just like it happened with the XIII trilogy, FF sells on brand name, graphix and marketing, it's normalfag fodder.

Of course it sounds way more fun.
Which is why people will bitch if they don't get to do that.
Bitching is not inherently bad or wrong when you're in the right.

How is calling it a remake not the same thing? They're not just changing story telling they're changing everything almost. What's hard to understand about that

>whoever disagrees with me is a corporate dick slurper
>nobody is allowed to like what i don't like
agreed agreed

Attached: 1546019784499.png (645x729, 74K)

Why would only midgar see a massive expansion man? You really think they'll only stretch a 6 hour segment to 30 hours only once?

You're delusional if you think it's not gonna get 9/10s across the board. The only bad reviews are gonna come from no-name blogs trying to get outrage clicks.

Apparently you're illiterate as well. Where did I disagree with you?

Do you realize how long simply voicing the original game would make it? Then add in cutscenes shit, updated pacing to accomadate it?
Also, are you seriously trying to tell me that seeing more than 5 hours of Midgar is fucking BAD? The most fucking icon location in FFVII, arguably FF in general, is only 10% of the original game and you seriously want to tell me "No, actually, I DONT want to explore that location more."

old corporate dick good new corporate dick bad
don't forget to subscribe to World of Warcraft (TM) Classic (TM)

I only just now found out this game is episodic. what the fuck

>we can't say anything more about the future games after that, because we don't know ourselves

I want to explore it more but I also know that Square can't make new original FF7 content worth a shit. AC, Dirge and CC are all trashfires, I can't imagine any reimagining or expanding will be any good.

I am not the guy you replied to. Just calling you out you hypocrite.

It should've been called FF7 Reboot. Calling it Remake when it's only Midgar sounds shady.

>>A FF game
>>Badly reviewed

The After Years
Dirge of Cerberus
Final Fantasy XIV 1.0

Final Fantasy Type-0

Pretty much every FF phone game, include IOS and Android ports of previously celebrated games.

You don't know if I'm a hypocrite you autistic nigger. Learn to read before you start replying, we already have enough people shitposting.

Pretty wild when Tabata wasn't even involved in FFXV until the last stage when he had to put something together from Nomura's dumpster fire. He was always a side-game dude.

They almost got you normie

more like he doesn't want to commit to anything cause things constantly change during development and he doesn't want to be eaten alive in case what he says does not come true. It's not rocket science.

Saying "yeah we're already developing part 2" or "we know exactly how and when part 2 will be done" gives expectations and is basically marketing suicide.

>key change
as someone with perfect pitch hearing this massively triggers me

Is it true that this game will end with the fall of sector 7. Lack of red xiii is making me nervous

>FF7 Remake
>FF7 Remake 2
>FF7 Remake 3

I don't see the problem

>Do you realize how long simply voicing the original game would make it?
Less than many jrpgs, like Xenoblade and Persona for just two examples. Where does this delusional that FF7 is a MASSIVE GAME come from?

nevermind they go back to the original key, we're all good

Wouldn't the people excited about this game be the ones who played the original?

Why the fuck is a zoom zoom like you into it? Did your favorite streamer tell you to?

Because Midgar is the most iconic location in the game.
Some of the most iconic moments in the game all happen in those first few hours in Midgar.
The Shinra headquarters raid is literally the box art.
Midgar is the only massive city on the planet with Junon being a distant second.
Midgar had all the potential in the world, but not getting to see more of it was one of the biggest complaints people had about FFVII even back when it was brand new, because of how cool and different it was in a Final Fantasy setting.

Midgar is quite literally the only thing in the entire setting that you CAN expand into an entire game.

He was involved in all stages since they scrapped the earlier, superior, development.

I hate the stupid new Sephiroth ghosts too but when the original game came out, a lot of people playing it for the first time (I'd wager most really) didn't know what Sephiroth looked like going in. The whole thing was still fresh. Nowadays, Sephiroth is one of the most iconic villains in gaming. Everyone already knows Sephiroth. I'd rather they do it like the original too, but there's no point in hiding him anymore because there's nothing to hide now.

Looks cool and FF VII is famous, so I imagine that plenty of younger people would be into it. As someone who's been playing FF VII for 20+ years, I'm on the fence about it. I'm not one for remakes usually, I think the original is fine, but the combat looks pretty good and I like that Jessie and co. seem to have actual personalities. It could be fun. I'm less hip on the story changes I've seen and everything OP mentioned.

new combat good, new story bad, new uematsu soulless

I'm mad that Sephiroth has managed to overshadow Jenova in the public consciousness. Angsty murder weeb who dies to a level 3 cloud with a preemptive strike materia is way lamer than anime The Thing.

This right here.

More like
>old combat good
>new combat also seemingly is good

>Old story ok
>New story has potential to be either good or bad, leaning towards bad based on the Compilation

The world is not ready for cosmo canyon in HD.

>Yea Forums tells me 7R doesn't have aerial combat
>it does
Do you fuckers ever get anything right?

Attached: aerial combat.webm (640x360, 1.51M)

Well I mean it's not even a fair competition. Jenova is an alien so powerful it can destroy civilizations and even worlds while Sephiroth is the son of the worst girl to ever exist in Final Fantasy.

lol not even a jump button. All she is doing is mashing square.

It doesn't fucking matter, you retards told me the combat is grounded with no aerial combat bullshit and yet here we are with Cloud doing gay advent children flips in the air.

>i don't understand ffviir combat: The Post
Mashing x is all you're going to do in between ATB charges because FFVIIR IS AN ATB GAME. Your regular x attacks are barely even going to do any damage and you can cut them out entirely by using classic mode. It's literally just filler button spam while you wait for ATB to fill up, then the real gameplay comes in

That's cool and all but I do wish there was a proper jump button. I don't like games that softlock you onto targets when you attack, gimme full control my dude dammit.

wow, why are you two mad? I'm just laughing at how automated this crappy "action" gameplay is. I don't see the point of these weird hybrid type games, just make action or turnbased.

Yoshida's the head of the online division. If he's working on anything, it's not a single-player title, and SE can't afford to do 'another' MMO to eat into the sales of their current (two) active MMOs. Someone else would be handling an FFXVI but that won't be anytime soon due to all hands on deck for mobile-shit and FF7R.

>that OC DONUT STEEL SOLDIER character

You have a blonde dude with a great sword, a spunky ninja, a bar waitress who punches everybody, Mr T with a gun arm, a talking dog, a flower girl, a talking cat on a teddy bear that is secretly a robot under the control of a corporate suit, an astronaut with a spear, and a vampire. But the new blond dude doing acrobatics on a bike is what tickled your asshole the wrong way?

Attached: 9GAG.jpg (256x298, 21K)

The only thing I couldn't stand about this games was absolutely terrible save system, if they fixed that in a modern port it would be infinitely more playable.

Attached: FFXVI.png (1245x921, 1.4M)

> If he's working on anything, it's not a single-player title
Yoshida himself literally announced that he is working on a AAA single player title you fucking retard. He even said that it has been in development since 2017 and has already finished pre-production and started full production 6 months ago.

>Yea Forums analysts in charge of predicting what big name devs are working on

you can get through midgar in under 2 hours lmao

>If he's working on anything

If they are greedy and lazy they will end part 2 on the Junon ship, before arriving to Costa Del Sol. If they put effort, probably After Rocket Town.

and you can go outside and have sex right now but you aren't doing that

>FF16
I would prefer a new IP.

But user they said nu-midgar alone will have just as much content as a normal Final Fantasy game! Surely SE wouldn't ever lie or fuck up development.

Attached: 1449110685700.jpg (560x560, 64K)

Hey, you got it right!

Here's your overworld bro don't forget to press x while running through to find the secret!

Attached: path-through-trees.jpg (1024x600, 73K)

STOP IT

Attached: cryingwojak.jpg (700x700, 68K)

That's what the FFXV team is working on. And I don't think SE is confident enough to launch TWO new AAA IPs.

youtube.com/watch?v=kohEL3Wo6a8

Does anyone remember an interview or an article stating that the game would end before the Shinra raid happens? I feel like I saw this somewhere but can't remember the site or who said it. In my head, the only sensible place to end the first episode is right as they escape Midgar.

During the fall of 2017, there was an interview with Yoshi-P where he outright said that he'd work on FF16 if SE or fans asked him to. He also mentions that it'd be a high fantasy title. I honestly believe he would not say such a thing if he wasn't ALREADY involved in another FF project at that time. gamerevolution.com/news/355871-ffxiv-producer-would-direct-final-fantasy-16

At the Paris fanfest, Yoshi-P again reiterates that if he were to work on another FF project, it'd have a high fantasy setting. He also says (in regards to the exact question asked) that it most likely won't be another MMO, since FFXIV is still doing well. siliconera.com/2019/02/05/naoki-yoshida-wants-next-final-fantasy-to-be-more-fantasy-have-less-machines-and-no-mecha/

Now we have confirmation that Yoshi-P has been working on a new project, and that it is going into full production (which means it has likely been in development for a while). Note that the recruitment page on SE's website for the new project had already existed since at least 2016, but it was not known until today if Yoshi-P had any involvement with it. The only thing not known now is if the new project is FF-related at all, but chances are very high at this point.
"Based on the former 5th Business Division, the newly launched 3rd Development Headquarters has launched a new core project following" FINAL FANTASY XIV ", and has begun to challenge the next generation. This project has already finished its initial development, has finished developing its development environment, and is now shifting to a full-scale large-scale development phase.
"The new project is looking for developers who will give the world "fun", "fun" and "surprise" together. We are looking forward to your application for the challenge to the world market!"
That artwork's style coupled with Yoshi-P's previous comments makes it obvious that this title is XVI and Yoshida has been giving hints for a while now.

Attached: 1543244526147.jpg (752x1003, 142K)

Considering how little "content" XIII and XV had, it's not exactly a high bar for them to clear.

the XV team is working on a NEW IP. This has been stated multiple times and they even specifically said it's not a final fantasy game.

I'd just like to take this post and say I warned you all.

I warned you people about Nomura and his shitty, over the top, writing. You people were so blinded by that fucking hack Tabata, that you fail to see Nomura for what he is.

Dude's been pretty adamant about how Heavensward is what he thinks FF should be more like. I'm expecting something with shades of that, Shadowbringers, FFIII and FFIX.

It's not an action game. It uses the ATB system but with autoattacks in between turns

Without minigames and filler these episodes will be about 20 minutes long. You're going to get more of them not less, and they're going to be shit.

Hence the quotation marks genius.

No, they have said multiple times now that the game goes up to the escape of Midgar and then ends.

>April 1st

Daily reminder that they'll remove Cait Sith because he's too silly for this grim and edgy remake

I don't know why people started worshiping Nomura. We all made fun of him in the early 2000s. Then some years ago I noticed that everyone had started sucking his cock.

meanwhile every trailer has had a bunch of silly moments in

Why do games take so long to make these days?

That's what I said, retard.

Are weapons all basically just stat upgrades? Wonder if they’ll do anything differently

The alternatives were Tabata and Toriyama. So people gravitated to Nomurasama.

But this game will reveal him for what he is. A hack.

Easy, they'll flesh out all 8 section of midgar and btfo haters like you

Stat upgrades and they have different Materia slots and growth rates.

>this game with action gameplay isn't an action game

user if you can do combos and manually evade incoming damage it's an action game. It'd be more accurate to call FF7R an action RPG.

Well, the alternatives were incompetent fuck Tabata and giga-waifufaggot Toriyama

The only person worshipping Nomura was literally XV-kun before he started worshipping Tabata. He was the ONLY person, but he did it so much it swayed the pereption that you guys have of Yea Forums.

Putting aside the KH fanbase obviously since they like KH games. Overall Nomura isn't that bad but corporate management fucked up the FF and KH brands since the merger basically, and it's only gotten worse.

>The only person worshipping Nomura was literally XV-kun before he started worshipping Tabata

Guess you never looked at a Kingdom Hearts thread here at any point in the last several years.

They know Midgar is by far the most popular part of the game and the area that can be fleshed out the most. The only setting that comes close is Junon.

There are no combos retard. It's just spamming the x button until ATB fills.

>but corporate management fucked up the FF and KH brands since the merger basically, and it's only gotten worse.

I fear for DQ after Horii's no longer there to protect it.

Do you really want Barret to be the only answer to ariel enemies?

This. Nomura has some crazy fanboys here

Heavensward is FF KINO. I fucking loved it.

Yes, and when you press X you do a series of strikes in a set order, which is a combo. Same shit as KH man, are those series of attacks not combos all of a sudden? Also if memory serves you get different strings based on if you hold the attack button or press it.

We were talking about the 2000s.

They might get better with whatever future games that they're developing right now. FF7R will be decent at best.

Lol

>b-but if you press it twice the animation is different
This is just pathetic. Actioncucks when will they learn.

Golden Saucer, and an explenation on how the miners from Barret's hometown weren't taking advantage of the entrance to it being literally where they're living.

If you haven’t heard yet, they confirmed you can change the game to turn based combat today. Here’s a pic for proof.

Attached: 4294646C-4D99-4FB0-B5EA-25151CBD5D84.png (1334x750, 1.99M)

Yes user, that is in fact how most combos in most non fighting games go. You press a button a bunch and a series of animations play out.

Please remember Yoshida is a director, not a writer. You can't assume his stuff will end up like that.

>high fantasy FF

Garbage and boring, just like XIV. Stop trying to throw everything unique away from FF in favor of yet another genetic fantasy bullshit world.

Perfect, thanks senpai. I don't think I've seen them say "it ends when they escape" though. The most I've seen is just "it's entirely in Midgar."

fuck off with the spoilers. If you can't get four-slot on your own, you don't deserve it.

Its also do nothing to win

If nothing else Yoshida likes to set up cool but grounded scenes. Slow walks to confrontations, desperate chases, falling into problems, hanging by a thread, etc. The way you get to an important fight matters to him, and that's an element sorely missing from modern FF.

15s map is dolled out like 7s is

rent free

>the game plays itself in the mode where it plays itself

Holy shit stop the presses!

>He didn't like III, V, VI or IX.
Sorry user, let's try a shallow copy of VII a fourth time.

How do I change episode 1 into a full game?

its already easier and more casual than xv so yeah it only beats XV in that regard

Cute how people always ignore that the normal attacks do shit damage and that you still need to input commands in classic mode to get anywhere.

Oh I know that, but if that's what he thinks FF should be, then that's the kind of thing he'll be tasking his team to make. Whether the writers can live up to that level is another thing entirely, but it's the kind of thing he'd be shooting for and that's an important starting point.

Sounds good. At least it'll be interesting.

Wait 15 or so years for the complete version.

XV already restored peoples faith in SE

Guess what? Your action mode is the same thing only you mash square to do the same exact meaningless chip damage and manually guard/dodge. The real gameplay is your ATB attacks, AKA TURNS.

Only if you play on hard mode and skip literally every single cutscene

holy shit i thought the barry thing was a joke

Midgar is like 2-3 hours long if you take your time, you thought it was 6 hours because you were a kid

So what's the point of the auto attacks then? Feeling like a cool guy?

3

Now it is 30 hours because you get to do fetch quests for NPCs

Yeah, XIII and XV weren't snoozefests at all.

It's an attempt to pacify the people screeching for the old battle system, since with classic mode all you have to worry about is using abilities and such when the ATB gauges fill up like in the old version.

I still talk to NPCs, so it still takes more than 3 hours since I don't speed run every game.

For context, the way he phrased it was that Eorzea was kind of boring and not-very-Final-Fantasy, so the team viewed Ishgard as this far off place that they could make way more "Final Fantasy-y." Shadowbringers sort of continues that logic by being a reinterpretation of Eorzea in the context of something more in line with HW's design philosophy.

>The real gameplay in this game where you need to be aggressive to build meter while manually avoiding incoming damage is the part where you go into a menu to use a special move

Have you considered that the entire point of this gameplay style was to have a balance of both aspects of the game to make a cohesive whole?

>Feeling like a cool guy?
Unironically, yes. That is the point of the chip damage mash square attacks. To trick dumb zoomers into thinking they are playing an action game.

The attacks build meter. More aggressive gameplay from the player means more meter.

Just because you changed the wording doesn't mean you changed the result user. It's an ATB game with pointless button mashing between turns.

Eorzea IS super fucking boring. 1-50 of XIV was a mistake. I have no idea why they didn't just scrap everything pre-HW.

Doesn't really look like they're getting rid of all the silly shit

Nomura fag lying detected

Nomura wasted 7 years on bullshit while Tabata spent 3 years turning a bunch of disjointed nomura concepts into an actual game after nomura demoralized the whole staff by wasting 7 years, tabata remoralized them and made xv the best selling FF ever when comparing release timespans

nothing on 14 was impacted by 15 you retard, XV got its budget in 2013 when ARR was wrapping up development and the fucking mobile games funded both of them

Nah fuck you. I liked ARR. I kinda miss just being a nobody adventure. It had problems though, like pre-titan quests dragging on and on.

>instead of just waiting 1 second so you can unleash your powerful attack that ends the battle super fast, you now have to mash normal attack for minutes
Why did they think this would be a good change? I hate these hybrid systems, just make an action game or make an rpg.

Oh I didn't realize you have to actively avoid damage in the old ATB games or that you could speed up when your turn would be by attacking the enemy. You sure showed me.

Ask your grandkids in year 2075.

Nomura is the biggest fuck up really

XV is great and sold gangbusters, versus was cancelled because nomura is a hack who wasted 7 years and then wanted to turn it into a musical on a whim after seeing les Miserables in 2012

Fuck off retard, yes he did and versus had staff list in 2008

>Oh I didn't realize you have to actively avoid damage in the old ATB games
It is calculated automatically by stats, you know, like an RPG. Why do you think you are a big boy for manually pushing dodge?
> or that you could speed up when your turn would be by attacking the enemy.
You can do that by casting haste, and you can be slowed, and the enemy can do the same.
>You sure showed me.
You sound like Bazztek mate.

Toriyama is director of Mobius and has been for a few years

someone kill barry so we can have good FF threads please

sauce?

Haven't you read the OP? Crisis Core is the reason this game will suck.

You mean someone kill this kikefest remake so we can have good FF7 threads about the original

Hamaguchi is 7r co-director aka actual director
Yasue is KH3 co-director aka actual director

Nomura is not a real director, he's just a name kitase slaps on games for marketting purposes

For fuck sake even Episode Ardyn which only started getting made in 2018 has Nomura's name slapped on the front title screen even though he didn't design a single character in episode ardyn
