Blasphemous

So how the fuck do I use this? Right after Our Lady of the Bullet Hell

Blasphemous thread

Did you talk to the tree man?
Also, where do you go after Our Lady and Ten Piedad? I've wondered all over the map, but I'm lost.

I talked to the tree thing but got no response, may be missing something else entirely

Oh, he's already dead then. Don't think it serves any other purpose.

you drop it on him leave the screen come back and you get a shitty item

>he's already dead then
Who? I mean, I went to the snowlands, there was a tree with the shape of a woman I could interact with, but said "no response". Who the fuck did I kill?

Attached: 1489882340623.gif (280x302, 3.75M)

did you ring the giant bell in jondo?

Yes

if you made it through that dungeon and killed the boss then walk along the bridge.

I'm not exactly sure how it works, but apparently there are certain things you have to avoid before you talk to the tree man or his quest ends abruptly.

the tree that gave you the "no response" will actually talk to you and give you something as long as you do it before ringing the jondo bell

anyone know how to solve the book puzzle in the library? I'm confused..

Attached: 1525477480009.jpg (1042x1042, 138K)

You have to unequip EVERYTHING you have equipped (including the shit you can only equip/remove at the save points), have a full mana bar, and stand still for 10 seconds or so.

Apparently the reasoning behind this is in the item descriptions for those 3 bones mentioned in the books.

nvm I read the descriptions of the femur, tibia and kneecap, apparently you need to get rid of everything, have fervor and not move.
Thing is I lost a bit of fervor dying to what I believe is the last boss, so how am I supposed to have full fervor?

I did it while not guilt free. Just have the bar full.

If you charge the blood throw attack you hurt yourself and get some fervor.

alright, thanks, I think this is the last thing I need for 100%

What do you have to do to solve the puzzle with the candles and the bloody hand? I have the candles lit but what to do with the hand?

>spend 2 hours between mountain zone and the bullet hell boss, with many retries and the help of the lady
>go to the zone to the far right (the one with the traps) and breeze thorough it, included the boss defeated in the second try with no lady (now an old woman) help
Something tells me I did stuff in wrong order.
Also is it just me or are some itam descriptions cut short? I dont know what half of my stuff does.
Lastly the blood projectile attack is much more useful than all the spell I have till now.

equip both large waxes and then sacrifice blood and the door will open

Thanks

Shame he was so weak.
The presentation was top notch

But I didn't ring it

How's the game Yea Forums? Is it just straight metroid like hollow knight or it's more vania like bloostained? Because i absolutely hated the former and absolutely loved the latter, despite having more playtime in the first one.

Right thumbstick scrolls down on item descriptions. No idea what it is on kb+m tho

It's bad.

>Is it just straight metroid like hollow knight
Yes

So what happens in the true ending?
You're the new Son of Miracle but why does the bitch steal the sword?

to my understanding you're meant to go to Mercy Dreams and fight Ten Piedad first, but you're free to tackle the bosses in whatever order you want as far as I know.

but it's probably best you went to Where Olive Trees Wither first/fought the bullet hell boss so you could take care of the tree guy's quest early.

I would recommend exploring around the Desecrated Cistern (sewers) to find where to go next. namely on the top left part of that area.

The attacks are mostly kinda lame but the dodge lunge was top tier fun and the boss kill animations are cool so I tried to finish every boss with it.

>eat fish sandwich
>unexpected bone gets lodged in upper palate
>leave it there as penance
Praise be the Miracle.

Anyone figure out how to stop the noise the key guy is talking about in the Library? There's only one room making noises but I can't find anything in it.

Can someone tell me if/how you can stop auto-grabbing ledges? I don't think I can keep playing if my character keeps doing this shit.

Somehow my game bugged and the blood fountains don't work anymore, leaving me with a single empty bile flask. That's cool, I didn't want to hit 100% anyway.

Just finished the game and got ending A, how would someone go about getting ending B? do you kill the woman who flails herself instead of helping her? I also see an achievement about getting that womans servant and the pilgrim to meet, I have no idea how you'd do that.

ITT: seething christards

What's the reward, out of curiosity, does anyone know?

I bead, forgot what it does but just a bead, so you'd also miss on the achievement for getting all beads.

I went to the mountain first because it's the place that npc mentioned first, didn't have this issue most people seem to be having.

>got the game.
>playing on keyboard.
>try to customize controls.
>cannot use arrow keys + ZXC ASD because WASD are taken as movement.
>that cannot be changed.
all i wanted was to play just like i did in GBA is that so fucking hard?
at least arrow keys are movement as well, but it still sucks.

The thing about this game is the platforming is super annoying with all the insta-death spikes and save points are few and far between, so you're gonna die to the spikes etc way way more than to the bosses which are ironically pretty easy to kill.

typical indie shit/10

>gba
>keyboard

>save points are few and far between
that's not a bad thing, that was one of the games strong points desu, you want shit like DS3 where a single bridge would have 3 bonfires? fuck outta here

>he doesn't know about Visual Boy Advance.

Frozen olive is the item. Forget what it does, I don't use it.

You have to kill the baby I think.

This was a literal non problem for anyone playing DS3 barring extreme autists

Ah well, fuck cheevos I guess. It's bullshit that it's so abbrupt like that, I did one boss before this area and I was already locked out the first time I walked through. Thanks user

explore deeper into the library and you'll find that it connects to another area. go right from there and you'll most likely come upon the source of the noise

you need to equip the Immaculate Bead and die a couple of times until it's fully corrupted then go to the 7 confessor statues around the map and destroy them. interact with the red circles and survive the combat challenges. then go back and defeat the final boss again.

frozen olive, it boosts your defense when near death. not terribly useful

>he unironically uses something that isn't mednafen

Attached: disgust2.jpg (125x121, 2K)

I did all of that before defeating him the first time, do I need to have it equipped when fighting the final boss to get ending B?

>SUMMA BLASPHEMIA

Attached: 1564671420354.jpg (500x347, 29K)

that's odd. do you have the Custodia of Sin Quest Item? checking if you didn't miss any of the statues by mistake.

try defeating the final boss again, it might automatically make it so you have to get ending B before being able to trigger ending A, even if you've met all of the conditions beforehand.

Could still hold a grudge from when you fought, and she also declared in the fight that she excommunicated you and would strike your name from history. If your actions made you a famed saint and sealed the horrors of the miracle, she might have taken the sword to restore the miracle and tarnish your image as a saint (hence the bit she says just beforehand, about removing your name).

It seems like there should have been more info about who she was and how she's involved with you, if at all, but that it wasn't put in the game.

I have the item on me, I also got the achievement of defeating all arenas so I know I did it for certain. I literally just beat him again incase they auto give me A like you said

nvm I got ending A and I guess B is the one without killing all the statues..

I doubt it would be so easy given that MC is considered a new Son of Miracle so anyone really standing before him with restored Mea Culpa will probably get the pope treatment of getting raped in bullet hell

yeah ending B is the regular one, A is the "true" ending.

What's up with that lightning demon on the way to Jondo? I died to it first fight and it didn't show up again. Does that affect the ending or something?

how many skins in the game? When I collected all bones I unlocked a skin and when I got an ending I supposedly unlocked another skin, but I only have the default + one other skin in extras..

It's a one-off opportunity to get a rosary bear early that can help against a mid-boss she reappears in the last 1/3 of his fight. After you beat the mid-boss, you can go back there and collect the rosary bead where you encountered her on the Mountain path.

no, it only gives you a rosary bead that provides extra defense against lightning damage. it's handy for a boss later in the game but not a whole lot else.

whether it counts against the "all rosary beads" achievement is unknown to me, though.

I've killed the baby but he says the same thing.

same thing in my case, I even got the achievement for 100%ing the game but that guy keeps repeating the same sentence.

What do you get for finding all angels?

a spell I think, you summon a few angels and they attack enemies, it's pretty shit.

Lame. What a waste of a cool-looking npc.

>Esdras's spinning is faster than your running

he gives you enough time to see how it's gonna be spinning to better position yourself, you just suck

Seconding this. What the fuck?

I just jump over him and run back before the lightning bolts hit. Getting stunlocked when the sister comes out still isn't much fun, though

a bead like the others said, but also a map tile is inaccessible unless you do it

Yeah apparently if you don't go to the snow zone and beat the boss there first you lock yourself out of an achievement. Shit design, but I guess I'll go for a replay someday

>For the true ending you need to collect and do a bunch of shit
>None of the collectibles and vendors get marked on the map once you've seen or cleared them
I hate when a game wastes your time like this with aimless searching.

Attached: fedup.jpg (610x637, 70K)

This nigga really just die on me? I didn't even fuck around and straight up got his shitty amulet.

Attached: 1538285482040.png (785x480, 20K)

that's odd, I got the Tears of Atonement from him on one of my return trips through the Library. have you gone to the Bull Painting in the room on the left of the Prie Dieu closest to the boss?

it's a stretch but it might be referring to that? I'm not entirely sure.

something must trigger that, I took my sweet time and saved him.

how do you get him to meet up with the pilgrim though? I saw there's an achievement for that.

Missed that quest as well. Best course of action seems to be going for the mountains/convent first though Mercy Dreams reeks of "first area".
Nearing the end, stuck between a boss that's literally roasting my guilt-ridden ass and butt-clenching platforming. Gameplay is mostly solid, art direction and OST are top notch though the former has its share of disappointments like the Exhumed Archbishop being a little too simple and the baby being a cop out.
IMO what the game needs besides fixing shit like irrecoverable guilt fragments:
>bestiary
>a few more fast travel spots
>fix the hitboxes for saws/books so they can be bounced back
>lower the attack rate or the guard pushback of enemies like the wall statues or the
>something (relic or bead) to make spike traps not fatal
>bead to improve flasks
>improve the combo enders because they're not very useful outside very specific situations
>add a couple of input special moves a la SotN
>improve a few boss fights (baby and skelly really need it)
For DLC, besides the promised Hard mode and NG+, I hope they work in some of the ideas they add because it's kinda disappointing for them to go unused and something like Richter mode would be pretty cool, maybe Esdras.

There should be a human figure vanging his head into a wall near the west edge of that area's map. When you approach, he vanishes, and you have an item to pick up. That MIGHT be the cause of the noise?

Equip the Shroud and look around the last big vertical area that connects to Canvases.

I know myself and my autism too well, I'm probably going to start over

Attached: 1439979900843.jpg (500x365, 21K)

i think you need the pilgrim standing outside of the entrance of Mother of Mothers from the Patio (so don't talk to him and trigger the next meeting), and then you need the monk to jump off from the Archcathedral Rooftops.

he should land next to the pilgrim, from what I've gathered.

if I don't talk to him but kill the enemy in front of him will he not move?

>get knocked down by his sister from offscreen
>as I get up, he starts spinning, so I get knocked down again
>as I get up, the lightning hits me and knocks me down again
Nice boss

yeah, I'm pretty sure talking to him is what triggers him moving to the next spot. if you don't talk to him, he should stay put.

don't get hit

How do you get the shroud? I'm at 90% at haven't found it yet.

Hard to dodge something from offscreen, user

>needlessly complicated emulator
>good
pick one

Gotta admit I thought about that too but might as well take this to the end. It's not just missing the quests but I'm a bit disappointed with myself for getting impatient and brute force/vial spam my way through some bosses especially after seeing people beat most fights without taking damage (and I feel like a complete idiot for struggling so hard with Esdras and the baby).

This seems to be a recurring issue. Boss I'm fighting now has a series of attacks where he teleports above and dive bombs you and if you get it with the first, you'll eat all of them.

Attached: 21c6e090dccce13bfa944e00ed175d3a.jpg (1222x882, 103K)

go to the room directly to the left of the Prie Dieu closest to the boss in the Sleeping Canvases. there should be a portrait of a bull you can interact with.

>kill Esdras
>die to some explosion for some reason
>can't get his spell
That's so fucking stupid, holy shit.

You don't have the blessed cloth that lets you talk to corpses? That should be the first relic you get.
Tirso (village healer) gives you the cloth, you take it to spirit in the Albero fountain and that's it. I think it's required to have it equipped in order to see the source of the sound. It's definitely mandatory to interact with it.

Attached: CxToXx0WQAUo6Ib.jpg (1200x687, 127K)

Oh shit I thought it was a diff relic. I'll check it out.

Tips in beating baby/centipede boss. It's really annoying with the head floating around.

>needlessly complicated
yeah maybe if you're 7

Real actual non trolling criticism coming through: They really needed to playtest a bunch of "spikes are just below the screen but you don't know it until you jump down" sections. I know you can look down with H if you're using a keyboard but sometimes it doesn't show you, and if you're using a dpad/retro controller you're fucked because presumably that's bound to the second stick.

All it would take is forcing the camera down during these sections so the spikes are visible, or altering the level so if you're putting spikes making sure the player can see them 90% of the time. If these blind jumps are a deliberate inclusion then they're dumb as shit.

Guys I just gave the tree guy oil and he said something and I can't talk to him again, I didnt even get anything from it. Did I fuck up?

Finished in 16 hours. Died to the fucking spikes more than all the bosses totaled up.

Attached: 1557078241624.png (404x337, 217K)

>sometimes it doesn't show you
Hell, sometimes it flat out doesn't let you move the camera at all up or down.

leave the screen and come back, maybe the bead will be there?

It's kinda disappointing, can't even call it a quest line. Honestly, few NPCs feel fleshed out (only Tirso and Redento so far), I don't think there's any explanation behind Viridiana and while I like Deosgracias, he's just a narrator.

I'd say stay somewhat close to it to not trigger the fireballs, back away only to have the baby insta kill happen away from it, if it hisses, the tail is going to attack you twice in a row then a third and fourth times with some seconds in between. If it spits one fireball, the tail is going strike almost immediately.
Sometimes you can get under it and hit both weak points at the same point and tear it apart in seconds but there's a lot of randomness to its patterns outside the opening attacks where he does the spin then fly off screen and come out the other side, whenever it does this, you can hit it with a charged attack but the window of opportunity is small.

Attached: juan-miguel-lopez-barea-key-art3-s-2.jpg (1389x1422, 293K)

This boss is a just a shitty rng. You just have to wait until he gives you enough space from behind so you can hit both his head and the segment. It double the damage on him. So...keep trying.

I really don't understand what the fuck did devs do all this time. Bosses are lame, combat is lame, the only good thing in the game is art direction. If I could I would pay all of the fucking money only to the game artist because it seems like he was the only one who really put his heart into the game.

>Catholic art EVIL

Attached: Soy reddit.png (594x582, 41K)

yeah its there thanks, for some reason the first time I tried that I didnt see the bead

Game is great.

Only thing wrong with the game is upgrades don't equip automatically, half the items are walled behind collecting other items and they're not fun to get or even really necessary. Teleporters are so fucking few and far in between, 100%ing this game would take a mad man and one who really just wanted to go through all of the areas again to do it. There are still lots of secrets though that we probably don't know about so who knows, maybe there's a completely different ending than the first 2. The bad ending is pretty underwhelming but the good ending is pretty good.

are you talking about the Quirce, Returned By The Flames? he was fairly tricky for me on the first couple of tries.

I mainly punished him by staying close when he spawns those columns of fire across the arena, resulting in a good amount of free damage. I used the same technique on Esdras with their spin2win lightning barrage nonsense.

I do agree the stunlocking is ridiculous overall.

Yes. Only fought him a couple of times but yeah, got the impression we're meant to use a similar strategy to Esdras to get damage in.
Incidentally, it's a fight that's not as easy to foretell as all the others. All it was missing was the Persona 5 battle song kicking in.

Is this game worth it? Fan of Dark Souls and DS castlevania

Can you use ps4 controller on PC?

Attached: 1557447330773.jpg (249x202, 11K)

How do I use the three bone books in the library? I have the kneecap, tibia and femur. Do I have to put them in the ossuary?
Pic related. Life is pain.

Attached: 20190914233150_1.jpg (1920x1200, 288K)

>die on spikes
>ghost randomly spawns in the fucking town despite me being ass deep in another of the zones
>have to choose between clearing out the zone I'm in with a handicap or backtracking all the way back to the town through endlessly respawning enemies and then coming back since the teleportation system is shit

I like the game but this is some bullshit.

>Can talk to corpses
>Oh fuck yeah I bet they'll all tell me cool shit and maybe explain some of this esoteric nonsense
>All the corpses just have worthless incidental dialogue, delivered in the same indecipherable riddles as everything else in the game, at best just serving to physically signpost a false wall nearby that you would've found anyway
