I'm thinking of using the reset crystal to do everything the same except put only 3 points in agility so I can beef up my accuracy instead with the other two points so I can use more than just the starting pistol. But I know I'll be pissed if the merchants suddenly start shoving agility 4 swords in my face.

Until the very end of the game - I'd say yes. You can always craft tier 3 at smith-kun. Friendly Kurt gives you +1 to crafting while he's in party, and crafting gloves give you one point more. So equip both of them every time you want to make shit.

I don't get why they recycled so many building layouts when they put a lot of care into individually decorating them. Why be so lazy in one, not labor intensive but big impact aspect, and then be so dilligent in another aspect? It seems like a terrible way to cut corners.

Don't ignore, but do stack bonuses. The crafting skills are incredibly useful. Craftsmanship lets you squeeze out a lot more armor/balance/damage to health & armor. Science can really trivialize a lot of the game with certain potions, and is essential if you're using a gun a lot.
You don't really need them a whole lot if you're focusing on magic almost exclusively, but you're a faggot if you're doing that, and even then mana potions are nice to have and having the science skill to make them is a bit of a money-saver.

Put 1 point in it, get Kurt friendly for +1, wear gloves that give +1. Switch out the team to include Kurt at any camp/residence and you're good to go. Or you can have the smith in New Serene make tier 3 upgrades for a price as long as you have the materials, too.

Pretty good. It's effective for just dipping if you don't want a magic-primary build. Everyone could use Heal or Shield. It's also extremely effective if you're going magic-primary as the damaging spells are very potent.

You basically have room to level 3 attributes evenly as you play the game. My first one, I went Agility, Accuracy and Endurance for swords, guns and armor. My second one was a caster with Mental, Willpower and Endurance for spell strength, MP and armor. That's basically a Cleric build, especially since the best heavy armors seem to be Theleme anyhow.

Just finished it and completed every side quest except the one were you have to collect notes. Extreme difficulty was as expected a major disappointment (for a mage at least).
Even though i got a bit bored near the end it was a solid 6.9-7/10 game.

Not necessarily top-tier upgrades. You'll find better equipment later, so save your epic Blacksmith 3 upgrades for those. But the random junk you wear NOW that you adventure in? Those should all have at least a Tier 1 or 2 upgrade. It makes an enormous difference.

Which treeman? I've seen megaman with the spear and a french leshen knock-off on the way to San Matheus. Both kicked me in the sardines.

Different endings, different ways to handle several quests, different playstyles. I'd say it has moderate replayability, but the game is pretty much the same each time through.

I'll continue to wear /fa/ pieces in friendly areas, I just wanted a definite improvement over Embroidered Doublet (48/40) before venturing out of New Serene. You know, one worth sink resources into. This Cuirass fits the bill for sure.

Quality-wise my best stuff has late-20 values - this one is at 67. Since I don't plan to spend on Crafting (as level 2 is achievable even this way), I plan to perform upgrades in my own tempo and only pay the Blacksmith for tier-3 ones.

I personally went weapon coatings. Pistols are my go-to ranged damage.

Poison coating to stack it a long time with bonuses, or grenade if it is too risky.

For the rest, it depends: If you stayed with oen handed bladee and do damage with pistol mostly, grenades. If you went for any other weapon type, coating

I would say that this is a solid "7/10" game, it's not perfect and it seems kinda clunky in certain respects, but I'm having fun with it so far. Just got to New Selene and met the native princess and I'm genuinely interested in what's going to happen next.

at some point you have to recruit all factions against constantin so you may have to do the side missions for them or get fucked for not having done them

Just finished the game. Clocked 42h and saw both endings.
Kind of sad theres only 2 main game states, one being "good" and one being "bad".
In general I was not a fan of the ending.
Constantin made for a lame final boss. The final boss fight was also really boring.
They did it right in Bound By Flame so I had some high hopes here. Especiall hated that if you beat it the plot will pretend that you are lost and that Constantin is sparing you.

Main game part was really cool though.
Got all factions and companions to Friendly, which turned out to be really easy. They hit the pefect game length. If the game were any longer, the stale battle system and low enemy diversity would start bothering me.

damn... I just got to Hikmet and the town is completely and totally lifeless. Went into a few buildings and the NPCs are just standing in place doing absolutely nothing. So many copy pasted buildings, but with way more locked doors than New Serene.

At one spot in the woods you'll have to pass for a quest there is a guardian in a clearing. Nearby after you kill it is a corpse of a merchant with a key, right down next to the stream from there is the chest it opens.
