It was a much better game than Andromeda, the problem is that it was following two truly exceptional games and managed to screw the pooch. Andromeda was a clusterfuck of unprecedented proportions, but it was its own closed continuity and didn't violently shit on one of the best sci-fi stories in video game history.

The prequels were a mixed bag, and I think they ultimately did more things right than wrong.
Strengths: Art design, sound design, music, enjoyable choreography, interesting setting with cool locations, pushed visual effects in the industry to a higher standard, and overall good overarching story showing the corruption of a republic into a dictatorship and the downfall of a hero
Weaknesses: Clunky dialogue, wooden acting, and a lack of chemistry between the main couple
