Terry is an incredible pick because he’s everything a character like Joker isn’t. Terry is a celebration of SNK’s arcade roots and their history in the medium, Fatal Fury is where they came from. Joker is a skin deep advertisement for Atlus’ latest spinoff with no history in vidya outside of being the 5th entry in the Persona series (thought Atlus only wants you to think there were 3)
This alone makes Terry far from the worst DLC added to ultimate.

Because after MvCI the MH people don't want the Hunter in any more crossovers. Hell they didn't want them in crossovers before MvCI, don't know why they changed their mind for that game in particular.

As much as I love Contra, I find hard to make some cases for it. I think Konami is already well represented in Smash and the Contra characters are more 'literal whos' in the sense of no backgrounds or personality. A Mii Gunner inspired outfit would be nice though.

It's weird seeing so many people on Yea Forums rage about Terry Bogard getting into smash. He was my 1st choice for Smash but I literally thought he was a "never ever," even though SNK is a major game company with a legacy of critically acclaimed and cult hits. I thought Metal Slug would be their ticket into Smash and I felt so lucky that Terry got in. I even thought that he would be excluded for being too mechanically similar to Ken and Ryu but I guess not.

I've been a huge Fatal Fury fan for awhile now and I owe SNK for getting me into fighting games as a genre so I couldn't be happier but damn it feels shitty that people don't know who he is. I just hope someone tries Garou or Real Bout Fatal Fury or a KOF game after seeing because there's so much those games have to offer.

Smash's roster is literally perfect to me now and anybody else that gets in is another cherry on top. If you don't want Terry in smash, I would hope that you give one of his games a chance, even if you're bad at fighting games.
