Femto is depleted by Mirage and laser weapons, but a full femto gauge makes your femto wings much stronger in Assault/ Boost/ Shield mode which you can see in your UI. Change the UI around if you want.

Is it better to just carry two weapons?

Does anyone know what the fucking stats actually do?
What is the relation between durability and defense? How does bullet/laser defense tie in?
What even is the damage stat? How does it relate to bullet/laser damage? I have a high powered sniper rifle with 552 damage and 76 bullet damage, and it hits arsenals for like 35 and turrets for 55. It fires less than once a second, so the 552 isn’t damage-per-time-period or anything, and the stat is higher than much higher dps weapons.
The same turret takes 300 damage from a 3000 damage mace, and 240 damage from a 1000 damage / 300 laser damage beam sword.
Attacking with both the mace and sword at once results in 270 damage.
The outer sword does 120 damage.

Some missions can be pretty damage-heavy so it's not always the worst thing, but for the most part it's better to be shitting out as much damage as possible.

is it just me or do none of the missiles besides the first freebie never hit anything? i have the Garuda and the Riot Zero and their homing capabilities, speed, and angle make it so they miss all the time.

havent gotten very far, but nothing seems to put out enough damage to warrant taking the shield. seems more like a PvP type of thing where you aim to outlast your opponent while plinking away their health with one weapon

I've found quantity is a quality of it's own when it comes to missiles, so I tend to use heat seekers and not bother with lockons at all and just shit out a million of them, garuda 2 is nice, and I'm giving wrath of god a shot, as daft as it looks on my mechs back.
maybe someday I'll figure out how the hell I build this icarus blueprint I have lying around, can't seem to find any use for it in my development menu.

Rape hammer or whatever it's called is pretty great at homing. It only fires one at a time but you cn spam it and it leaves a fire ball behind with each impact that saps stamina from Arsenals

I'm fucking with the missiles right now and I'm finding they barely hit anything as well, I'm using Pandora's Box. Im not yet sure how much the head and processor effect missile goodness though.

it's a fucking second crafting menu where all the weapons from the online boss battles are made, that is only unlocked by making sure to eat ice cream before every mission for god knows how many missions and fuck you if you disregarded it for 15 hours because the 3% buffs looked shitty and you disregarded it as japan being wacky I guess.

Maybe the huge ones in the secret factory are better. I haven't gotten the blueprint for them yet, but they look like they have huge damage. I think the 24,000 speed booster will be more fun though.

remove crosshair and sights, they are useless because you get a range indicator when you lock on to an enemy, as well as a massive white/blue/red cube on your enemy when you are within lockon. These two things clutter the UI immensely

Move the weapon ammo counters somewhere outside your main field of view and scale them down.

Scale down your health bar and stamina/femto bars, you don't need to know the exact numbers

Put your body part durability into a body shaped pattern

It's a research bar which acts as a requirement for developing certain equipment in the factory. This is separate from a blueprint, which is another type of requirement that randomly appears in the mission rewards after fighting certain Immortals.

when you kill an enemy with katanah, press attack again and you'll zip to another enemy if one's in range. I've done it 5 times without any upgrades. Pretty sweet.

Some blade weapons (katanas) can attack groups of enemies if you have multiple in your sight when you attack. Line up the shot to include as many targets with a white box around them as possible, then repeatedly tap the attack button and you'll jump from target to target until you miss. There's apparently a max number of times you can do this but you'll practically never reach it before missing.

Those are the coolest guns, but the problem is flexibility.
A lot of missions are ammo-starved and require you to scrounge up guns from killed mechs, and there are haha fuck you missions like the moon fall one where you might be complete ill-equipped if you only have two guns you can’t change.

Switch to weapons that are more energy efficient. If you missing your shots, bring an arc weapon. Use Attack Femto. This game is piss easy with a few spikes here and there, not like Armored Core where you pretty much had to specialize your mech for most missions.

Play the newest demo, they fixed the framerate. There's still drops, but its still vastly improved compared to the original demo.

I finally did it. I've been blading away at the same two guys while only having one arm for like 30 minutes. I did it by waiting for my femto to recharge over and over again and using the clone thing to just kill him since my clone always had ammo. I got a lot of sword practice though. Now I can go back to using my bazooka arm. My ammo stat on my normal build is only 15.

It has fantastic gameplay, a decent art style and literally everything else about it is shit.
