I'm making a list of all the fan missions for thief 1 and 2 that are worth playing.I've finished the thief 1 part and i'm halfway through the thief 2 part.The list will also have all the info on how to set both games up if you are new to thief ( the old info is outdated).I'll probably be done in a few weeks or so.Starsector is just eating my time right now.

For Thief Gold just do the steps you need to do to make TFix Lite work, then upload it to mega and include a link to that. Then say to unzip that into your Thief directory and it'll just werk. Easier than explaining the actual steps and it's what TFix Lite is supposed to do to begin with but the guy maintaining it is retarded.

Yes, missions are put in 3 tiers:normal, recommended,must play.There will be a brief description of the mission, what year the mission was made, what type the mission is, is the mission focused on the undead ( some people hate those kind of missions) and difficulty of the mission

there is a new loader for fms - angelloader , tafferpatcher is now replaced by t2fix, and if i'm not mistaken the info pic suggested that the enhancement pack be installed , which breaks most fms and most of the textures are not true to the original. Also there is and enhancement pack 2 which adds even higher res textures.

Yes and no, almost all fms will load with fmsel , but some modern (2016+) fms need a loader to work.

FMSel (the built in one) is most definitely enough. If people get so into FMs that they want extra features in their loader then they can figure out which of the other ones they want to use but including those in a starter guide would be unnecessarily convoluted.

I own Thief 1-3, are they comfy at all? I love the setting I've seen from screenshots, wondering if I should get around to playing them

give them a shot, they're pretty spooky so be prepared

They're mostly tense and spooky but that makes the comfy spots that much comfier.

Mansions and posh houses are aesthetically very comfy, but you'll be more relaxed in the ratways from a gameplay perspective.
Marble floors are the best example of this, most places with them are design kino but it's stressful as fuck

Like all classics, if you can get over the graphics aged like ass, the games themselves are excellent. That hurdle is easier said than done for some.

Only in olddark. Olddark apparently works fine on Windows 10, but with software rendering the game runs at accelerated speed so it's pretty much unplayable. I don't think there's a good way to play with software rendering these days other than building a 1998 pc.
