That game you like is Welsh.

That game you like is COOOM

that game you like isn't empowering to minorities and women so it's powered by the patriarchy

That game you like is haram

This game was banned for the male sidekick character showing micro aggressions towards one of the trans characters. The developers are looking at a long time in the reeducation camp.

God bless the NewSA

They'll be simple instructions to either buy the game because it's a good thing or never buy it and unperson the creators because they're a bad thing. Also add in hundreds of MeToo accusations thrown at complete random.

"How the Last of Us II Convinced Me to Vote Democrat"

That game you like was made by AIs. Do not fall for their lies.

That game you like is based.

That game you like promotes wrongthink.

>t. meatbag

I find it noteworthy that this comic was from The Escapist when they're some of the plebs pushing the "ebil wyppl" meme the hardest.
Really makes my think into the big think.

That game you like doesn't even fucking exist.

>genuine fans just getting together to enjoy thing they love
>then come the epic contrarians who have to prove their intellectual superiority so they say everything's bad
>then the liberal arts douchebags have to prove THEIR intellectual superiority over the contrarians so they have t say how everything's bad for you

God why do people ALWAYS ruin hobbies like this?

>Fast / 10

That game you like mentioned Trump in a bad light.
That game you like failed to promote Russian values.

Jokes on you I know all 3 games I am excited for are still coming out

Russians have no values

Hopefully by 2020 all gaming journalists are hunted down and sold to aliens as slaves.

>janny, delete this post immediately

CANCEL THE ESC*PIST
R A C I S T S

The edit is better

What edit? I don't think I've seen it.

it just says sexist instead of racist

>game
>to represent 00s critics he put movie critic reference instead of AVGN reference
lame

Oh. Same shit really.

>Russians have no values
Wrong.
Im from Russia and i value your mom's vagina

No, the edit is more accurate

>in obnoxious Mr. Plinkett voice
>"That game to like doesn't respect the BASIC rules of game design and doesn't teach the player to IMPROVE, now please don't harass the game developer, I just want this man to IMPROVE."

90s was more about violence. Nobody was accepting back then either. 00s, I remember violence still being talked about but I'm sure there was something else I'm forgetting. 10s is all sexism, racism, and transphobia. Whoever drew this obviously doesn't know Johnny Knoxville very well.

The point is sjw bullshit permeating throughout games journalism, so in that sense they're exactly the same in the context of this comic. But sure. Technically you are right. "Toxic" might be even more accurate.
Old media were really the ones perpetuating that though, not game journalists. I mean maybe there were a few but the majority of game journos in the 90s were just dudes who loved vidya.

>that game you like only paid us enough to tell you it's a 6/10 at best
>that game you like that paid off our second mortage, now that's a 10/10 goty

We're already there, though. I will say IGN is an alphabet soup of solid reviews that tell you what the reviewer's angle is, and reading the back of the box and saying "10/10". I don't know why people take offense to the whole "reviewer aggregates have zero consistency" thing.

Also, as for OP. You gave a one year time frame, so I'll say exactly the same. There's your reasonable answer. You'll find good crap (mostly from independent outlets) and obvious sponsorships. Read the most negative and positive reviews. Get's you a better picture than just one dude's recommendation.

>THE 20s
>"that game you like is getting censored"
>THE 30s
>"that game you like is cancelled"
>THE 40s
>"that game you like is illegal"

The "20s" (2020-2029) is a 10year time frame, not 1, my guy.

The Escapist was the first major site to update their policies in response to GG, though. They at least have some standards.

>The 50s
>"that game you like IS"

Whatever happened to these guys, they left the escapist right? I don't think i've seen anything they made in like 2 years.

I doubt it will be around in any significant respect. You've seen a major compaction in the industry and there's only a few players left.

>Man Vs. Self
>Man Vs. Man
>Man Vs. Society

Oh, I see. In which case, I hate doing predictions, but pretty much

>Youtube is no longer the place for independent reviews since someone else took that market share.
>Abnormal emphasis on "objectively good game design" and "industry standard". So pretty much
>Abnormal emphasis on making games seem "racist" or "unempowering" even though they have jack crap to do with race or politics.
>Less people make the separation between the work and the artist.

Bearing a slight resemblance to someone doesn't automatically make it the same person you fucking brainlets.

The guys who make the comic are at least somewhat aware

who cares

Incidentally, that comic is no longer active and the two guys making it no longer work at the Escapist.

>That game you like should be banned.
