The problem is that all subtelty and nuance has been lost in favour of leftist propaganda. It's no longer about exploring ideas and instead about asserting the "correct" ideas instead.

Politics in games are fine. Politics show up often in different art mediums.
What matters is how well it is used to enhance the artistic value of the project. If it adds nothing of value, or even worse, in the case of many games, relies heavily on its political message as a gimmick, it comes off as inauthentic and cheap. Borderline obnoxious.
