I haven't played Sonic Rush despite loving the bits of music I've heard (Boost Sonic does nothing for me in 3D so it probably wouldn't in 2D) but Blaze seems like a very nice character. I might be wrong though because I just insert her TGT personality when I see art of her.

Blaze was honestly one of the better characters made since the reboot starting from Adventure. The interesting thing about the original Sonic Rush is that it's one of those rare Sonic stories where character development is actually a thing. Blaze is pretty much the opposite of Sonic, and she ends up being a rather excellent foil for him. Sonic Rush 2 capitalizes on this dynamic and they end up complimenting each other pretty well.

Sadly, after Sonic '06, they stopped really using her for anything significant.
