I play skeletons whenever they're available to me. In fact I've not played several games entirely because there are skeletons but you can't play as them.

I usually play dwarves, though I think catmen are pretty cool as well. Given the choice, it's usually one of those two.

I dont like playing a human but usually it's the best choice in the game because most nonhuman races are pretty shit

Humanoid races if I want a character. Non-humanoids if I want a caricature.

I never play as furries or elves but I always opt for nonhuman when I get the chance. It's more interesting to be in a different culture than just the kingdom of humans for the billionth time. Especially if everyone hates your race, like half-orcs.

I generally prefer playing as more exotic races in games as long as they aren't too ugly. Otherwise I'll happily go human or human-like (elves, etc)
