Hopefully, cyberpunk 2077, and VTMB2 turn out decently

i have zero interest in either of those or system shock 3
the last one that impressed me was prey and it was rpg-lite

>Arcanum
>Elex

>tfw no Arcanum sequel or remake or anything

I only played Planescape and Deus Ex, what should I play next?

Which of the two did you enjoy more?

System Shock 2

I liked more the story and characters in Planescape but the gameplay was very rough
Deus ex still had a very good story and the gameplay was very fun

shouldn't I start with 1 first?

>tfw no Arcanum sequel or remake or anything

im still surprised no one has tried to do anything with it, it has such a unique setting and atmosphere

1 is an action game and has no RPG elements.

I heard activision or Ubisoft owns the rights so be careful what you wish for or you could end up with a mobile game

is it worth playing?

depends on if you like that style of game
you could always just pirate it and try it

What are some good WRPGs available on PS4, Xbox One, and 360?

Is there a higher resolution version for those of us with average to normal eyesight?

Prey is fun

Try VTMB

Picture for ants? Post the HD version, half those game covers are impossible to read.

ME series, DA:O, Kingdoms of Amalur, Fable 1/2 -- Dragon's Dogma on XB1/PS4 if you want something a little more action-oriented.

took a whole 3 minutes of digging but i found it, on reddit.

Isn’t Dragon’s Dogma a JRPG?

>those replies
Reddit really hates our lists

It is. I am being dumb.

Still recommended though.

Thanks. Will check it out.

What do we know about Baldur's gate 3?

NWN was more of a platform for user made content, the online persistent world modules were a lot of fun back when it was new and there’s a lot of great fab made modules as well. The main campaign is ass though

>all that Fallout3 asspain
I swear this chart changes every time I see it, last time I swear I saw Anachronox and Witcher 2 in mid tier

Alright Yea Forums which am I spending the day playing? Keep in mind I haven't played any of these titles before
>Planescape Torment
>Arcanum
>Baldur's Gate
>Ultima Underworld

>>Might and Magic 6
just passing by to say you're a patrician.

Ultima Underworld is different to the reat of that list. If you are familiar with dnd play BG, if not, play Arcanum

Who good is Anachronox?

Fuck
*how

I honestly don't get it why are wrpg dudes so eliest about their favorite titles when they are honestly fall short in many categories as opposed to jrpgs

>Music
I honestly, can anyone list 6 memorable tracks from a wrpg?Majority of it is just stock music

>Art
Usually really shit hyper models in game with a dull brown tinge, Oblivion is so uncreative, Khajiit and Argonians are just animal heads on human bodies.

>longevity
Majority of these games look like shit within 5 years of release
INB4 FF7 majoirty of Jrpgs have staying power,

>Setting
Usually some unpleasant hyper real urban/medival/futristic space kinda deals. You never see any animated or cartoony settings in these games

>INB4 games made in the west that borrow heavily from jrpgs
Can't pull undertale or the south park card, as they borrowed from earthbound, and paper mario respectively

>Gameplay
Collecting wolf pelts and navigating through convos with a stupid convo wheel. They rarely diverge from the standard mold.

You would never see a magic pengel wrpg or other games that branch out.

Despite all of this many wrpg players shit on jrpgs for just being the

(you)

>Baldur's Gate 1
>Bloodlines 2 and the ATOM RPG expansion

>Minsc or Hexogen
>Play Nameless Mod if you like Deus Ex

Attached: Paige Hates That One Sword.png (862x228, 31K)

What does nameless mod add/change?

Nameless Mod adds a 15-20 hour long campaign based around a subforum on Planet Deus Ex, with many of the named characters being based around real people who also often voiced themselves
Despite the campy appearance the mod gives the level design and story great. The mod doesn't take itself too seriously but it doesn't go overboard to the point of being obnoxious. If you want to try the mod I recommend playing slightly pass the mission where you need to rescue someone from the World Corp. basement. That is the point the game becomes more serious. There are a few unique weapons and a new fist skill.
Overall it still plays like Deus Ex which is the point as the mod is a love letter to not only the game, but to the early Deus Ex community.

Trying way too hard man. Imagine not liking both.

Cool, I'll check it out when I get home
