How the fuck do the "Sword Chain Attacks" work

when theres enemies nearby the enemy you are currently using the sword on, it will automatically go to that enemy for a follow up attack and if theres another enemy near that enemy it will follow up on that enemy etc etc

but it doesn't do that at all. I keep getting the small floating enemies near turrets or eachother and meleeing them, but it just ends. I tried holding the button down, but nothing.

Dub it is. Aside from being able to tell what characters are saying in missions, I have a soft spot for Batou. I have a suspicion Drake might be the Major's VA but I'm not sure.

Did some testing. You do have to tap it, but it seems to be specific to the katana, which is why I couldn't get it to work with Buster Doom.

I had it work automatically with the katana even without the body mod. It seemed like it was just random.

The body mod is +1, and I seem to be able to do it at least 3 times. I'm assuming default is 2.

I use x as my assist, get out of mech can go on the dpad. Then I remapped all my dpad stuff to button combos. Much nicer.

It's a shame, Nintendo clearly want this game to fail. I went to Target, Walmart, and Gamestop. Gamestop had already been pre-ordered out except for one that was 30 minutes away from my house. Target and Walmart didn't even receive shipments of the game. They released this game in between Astral Chain, Dragon Quest, and Zelda, and then didn't even send out copies for people to buy. So now I'm just going to rent it through Gamefly. Maybe Japanese sales will save it, since Armored core sells eight times as well in Japan as it does in the west, but they just released it right before Dragon Quest, so that may kill it.

because you can have two reloadable weapons out and if you press A the game doesn't know which weapon in particular you wish to reload.

I know money is easy to acquire but I'm still scared to modify my Outer and make choices in the skill tree. You can't just upgrade all melee, you have to decide between range and damage, etc. I like having to make a choice, but I'm still terrified to do so.

Just shoot it and shit missles all over it
You can knock off its kneecaps and reveal weak points. But you don't have to shoot the weak points to damage it
You might need better lets to go faster if you can't keep up to it

Pull aggro on the Mercenaries first thing, but then stay back and fight them in the first area while the train continues ahead. Just distract them by tanking until the train reaches the destination, or switch to the Assault Armament and destroy them if you can survive all three at once.
