It was always a build slider; they just noted that it altered breast size, which it still does. I think the only thing that's really changed is that they altered the exact ratios on the body. I want to say they made it so the body fills in a little more evenly instead of having a sort of dorito effect halfway up the torso, and the lower body gets a bit bigger, but i might have it backward too.

This character is really barebones. You can do some crazy shit with the accessories - you can attach a hat to their ass if you want. If you've ever played an Illusion game, it's a lot like that with the accessories.

God Eater combat is much more arcady and faster than MonHun

Don't know how much they changed in 3 but the combat in God Eater 2 is stiff as hell, with weird delays after everything. Though I assume that'll be fixed. If they got rid of that along the way it's better than MH. You switch from melee to ranged and back pretty fluidly and if monsters keel over you can actually capitalize on it quite satisfyingly.

You can get past some of the limitations using accessories and the face paint options. I gave this guy wrinkles around his mouth and on his brow using some face paint, for example, to make him look like an older vampire guy.

Pretty good character creation, I just hope they loosen some of the restrictions on face paint and accessories and give extra options for outfits.

I'm still shuffling skills around but it's a two-handed weapon focus with a couple of projectile skills. The mist form dodge you get from Ranger is a must have on all setups too.

It's been a week since I played but iirc those had pretty different movesets. Putting them together seems arbitrary.

This game is a little weird with movesets actually. Two weapons of the same category can have very different animations. Compare the Queenslayer Greatsword and the Zweihander for example.

yeah the weapons have different movesets even if they are in the same category the the different types are important because they determine what weapon arts you can use, or whatever they're called

Bayonets and swords are a more reasonable separation. Bayonets seem to have similar appearances and have the ability to shoot something, while the swords are more varied

But on the other hand, considering what utter cancer the Chalice Dungeons end up being later on, where you need a full team of really good players to not wipe to every encounter because the RNG just decided to drop twelve fireball witches into an enclosed area while you're half health from the curse, I think not having them randomized is okay. I think CV's combat is better suited to horde encounters than the average souls game due to gifts and faster pace in general, but if they want to make the depths worthwhile all they need to do is hide some exclusive goodies in there. A few alternate veil styles, some weapons, ability granting items like those ones in the network test that gave you fire and ice resistance buffs, or even whole blood codes. As long as there's more to find in there but souls and boss reskins, people will do them.

Hell, the one in the demo could still be available right after the tutorial in the full game. Even if it only granted you two veils and the zweihander, that would still be a worthwhile detour.

I'm guessing it's like Dark Souls (again). You can scrape by just fine with what the game gives you but if you want a very specific setup you will have to grind to get it.

Keep in mind that this extra expensive stuff is probably meant to be bought far later in the game. From the segment after Oliver we can already tell that getting 20-30k isn't actually that hard.

I wonder how much longer it'll take until they realize that all Denuvo does is cost them money. It doesn't scare off pirates, if anything it makes them more motivated, it encourages more piracy once it is cracked because the software is a huge performance drain for the potential legitimate buyers and putting the program into your game in the first place requires an enormous licensing fee.
