Why does Fallout: New Vegas only use one texture for a road?

Why does Fallout: New Vegas only use one texture for a road?

It's a soulless asset flip

Because it's a bad game made by a bad developer, like you even had to ask.

So that you have something to complain about

because they had like a year to develop it, it doesn't make it any less shitty.

the downscaling of the world always bothered me, you cant drive on those tiny roads

Dumbass!
That's more than just a texture; it's an entire 3D model.

Because it's a 10 year old game made on a shit engine for ancient consoles

not a texture, an entity

repeating textures thread?

>you cant drive on those tiny roads
Yes you can, there's a mod that allows you to do that.

Playing through this for the first time with some minor modding. I've been playing for like 3 days straight with only a couple of hours of sleep.

Just finished Dead Money, holy shit that was kino are all the other DLCs this good?

not realistically, retard. i know there a vehicle mods

because they reused as much of the FO3 assets as they could

>are all the other DLCs this good?

Because 1 year development time.

>i know there a vehicle mods
So why would you have said something as linguistically incorrect as:
>you cant drive on those tiny roads
When you, allegedly:
>i know there a vehicle mods
You're not making any sense.

man new vegas looks like shit.

If you actually and unironically liked NV and EVEN Dead Money then the rest is probably up your alley, too. Sorry.

OWB & DM are the best, other 2 are ok

Hq5 console gen had very little ram

Lonesome road and honest hearts are meh. Old world blues is great.

>Fallout New Vegas came out the same year as pic related

and people keep hating on cyberpunk...

It's not a single texture, those are assets. The roads are split into several pieces, the devs never splice them up because copy and paste is easier.

t. spent at least 1000 hours in the creation kit

see

I couldn't play through the game. I mean they improved the gameplay somewhat and added a bunch of other things but the technical issues from Fo3 remain. I've heard about Jsawyer complete overhaul, does it make the game playable? Is there something that actually improves gameplay like the gunplay, AI or stealth?

isn't that the remastered version

>the road is a single asset pasted over and over
still sounds shitty lol

He meant they're too small to be realistic. His point was super clear. Calm down.

its a bethesda game. What did you expect

Have you ever been on small town or backwoods roads? They're usually just barely big enough for two cars to pass one another.

The game was made in 8 months with strick deadlines by bethesda. Its a damn miracle it was as good as it was.

Even the main roads are too thin.

>tfw an AAA game from Shithesda has worse graphics than a game from some Ukrainian shithole from 5 years before
L M F A O

jsawyer doesn't improve combat fluidity. Its a balancing mod that makes the game significantly harder. its a good mod imo. Would probably need a new engine to make the combat feel modern

Fair enough. Roads like that though? Makes perfect sense.

Does it matter. It’s a road

Holy fuck Yea Forums is autistic

You don't know what you're talking about, faggot.
I've been the road industry for 73 years and the roads in New Gaypiss don't make a lick of sense.

It's like poetry, it rhymes

You're just figuring this out?

>but muh roads

But they are a very important theme to the plot, especially in the "Lonesome Roads" DLC.
So I think a thing as important as roads should have at least more than one model and texture, cunt.
