Xenoblade 2 should have a 98 at least on Metacritic
Wrong, it's mediocre at best.
Now as for Godhand...

IIRC Luigi's Mansion was shat on by critics but loved by consumer score
Literally every low rated game ever made. Why would someone ever believe journalists?

PMD Explorers of Sky
From back in the day, Digimon World 2. In hindsight it was just different from the first one and babby's first dungeon crawler. With Digimon.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon is like that. I'm not the biggest fan of those games, but journos rate it way lower than it deserves.

DBZ Infinite World was the best of the old Budokai Fighters from the PS2 days and stayed the best one until Fighter Z came out. It was basically an improved Budokai 3 fixing numerous problems like the capsule system imbalance the ability to spam jab and stall to restore Ki and run away and the serious drop off in character strats after the top 6 characters into virtually nothing. The problem was being an end of PS2 life cycle game meant virtually nobody heard of it and the reviewers who mashed buttons got beaten up by the AI [Which would use the cancel system players had discovered] and were expecting a Tenkaichi game that would play anime scenes by itself as they mashed were confused and gave it shit ratings
I dunno, ask the person who made this image eight fucking years ago

it's a very chill and fun party game, one of my top played Wii U games
Didn't reviewers bash the original for being too complex?
Darkest Dungeon
Journos can barely play cup head, so this one didn't surprise me.
that's the opposite though
critically acclaimed game that's absolute dogshit
but darkest dungeon wasn't good
rng =/= difficulty
But... That games sucks ass.
Prey 2017 deserved better scores

Journos and critics are supposed to actually value artistic games which might not be that consumable to the general public, but instead they're giving this a 6/10 because the only kind of "artsy" games they can value are those that literally scream out their "deep" message right at your face and have one or two gimmicks to show how "gameplay can tell stories" even if the whole story could've been told just as well trough a movie.
Meanwhile this game is completely built around a certain experience, a wordless story that's probably impossible to convey via movies or literature but journos just discard it because they got snagged by some vulture on industrial complex and gave up.
