How do we go from this

while the old art is great, and still pleasing to the eyes, they thought the tone of the series better fit cartoons
soul/soulless
You realize that you can play with the old art though? The new 'art' is an optional bonus, not a mandatory feature.
As an aside; Curse is the best looking game in the series. Hot DAMN it was pretty.
If it were in the style of Curse, sure, but the special editions are just plain hideous
I switched back and forth between the two.
RIP matey
yes pics are from the alternance
im doing the same. for some outdoor scenery i prefer the secret edition
this is one of the times SE looks better but then theres
this being converted into
this
At first I preferred Special Edition but last time I played it I used the old style instead. I like both now.
I hate when I miss a reference. Neat find
Monkey Island 1 had a rather inconsistent art style. The remake's graphics are a pretty faithful update of most of the scenes in the game, but the close up characters are much better in the original. Monkey Island 2 had the best artwork I'd say. The remake butchered it.
That's easy for a point and click game to say.
Follow it to this day and it hasn't failed me yet.
the SE's characters just look so ugly and weird standing there. Gurbrush has got a thousand-yard stare like he just got back from vietnam
It's cool that they let you switch to the old style with a button press
I don't get it and I played Monkey Island games
Is the reference that his name sounds similar?
it's the name of
i tried playing this the other day and the dialogue isnt funny at all
Thanks!
I think the idea behind the realism was to spoof adventure games similar to how naked gun spoofed cop movies, so the style is as though it was being played straight.
